    My black wife met me at a 'Barnes & Noble' store while I was drinking coffee and reading 'Another Country' by James Baldwin. We discoveted that we shared similar interests and our relationship blossomed. We have been happily married for 24 years and have two beautiful biracial daughters. .

      This is absolutely true! I've met a lot of men with money who are not just cheapskates but who have such an inflated sense of entitlement and it's disgusting. I would rather a man who is stable and can provide and is KIND and actually loves me for who I am as a person and not simply as a piece of arm candy or status symbol.

    Liked the table metaphor. I never understood the e-harmony approach of finding someone you match perfectly with. Of course you want to have some things in common but I want a partner who is good at the things that I am not and I'm good at the things that she isn't, that way we compliment each other better and we can learn from each other. Your teaching skills shine through. Keep up the great work.

    Amanda, you are amazing and I say thank you for all your inspirational videos. I think the best thing for black women to do in terms of dating out and marrying up is to leave America. More black women are getting US Passports and traveling overseas. Once I saw the plethora of Black Women Solo Travelers Vlogs I knew that traveling overseas outside of America was the way to go. US Passport applications are high among black women and more black women are documenting their global travel. There are 4.1 Billion men on earth and us black ladies have more options than we know what to do with. I say lets make 2024 the year that black women take on the world and start finding the love of our life. 🌍✈🚶🏾‍♀🧳

    My next relationship will definitely not be with another Black male. My issue is I'm only attracted to a very small number of non Black men. Also, the only place I really frequent on a regular basis is the gym. I definitely need to get out more.

      I've dated interracially, but I don't think you should rule someone out based on their race. You said your next relationship definitely wouldn't be a black man, but what if you meet a black man who's a really good guy? You should never choose or not choose a partner only based on their race.

      As a black woman who dates out and will marry up and I will marry a non-American Non Black male I say this. If black women are going to break the generation cycle of black female poverty and give birth to the next generation of children born from black women NOT in poverty, then we must date out and absolutely marry up. There are 4.1 billion men on earth so we do have options in the dating market. We have to leave what I call THE PLANTATION OF PAIN POVERTY AND STRUGGLE LOVE. And you are smart to not want your next man to be a black man. Get your passport and travel and meet men of a better quality and from good stock. Good luck to you.

    I love Amanda's shows because they open doors in all our minds and expand our horizons. She will tell you where....I'll tell you how. Just look your candidate straight in his eyes and then smile. If he's too stunned to utter a sound, also say "Hi, how are you?" and await his answer. Simple. A quick question will garner a verbal response from anyone worth learning more about. Good Luck.

    I think you have some very insightful videos Amanda from Tacoma. I happen to live in Spokane Washington and love your perspective. I agree with most of your points. I have dated outside "white " more than a few times. As a guy ( of any race) I don't really care what race a woman is as long as she ultimately wants me to be the best I can be and a Great Woman can bring that out in any man she blesses enough to love. ( For the Record: Black Women just seem to be the best at seeing how to make us truly be the man and leader, father and husband we were truly meant to be) just saying. Keep it coming!

    For all the reasons you said, I don’t think it’s good to date outside your race to get even with black men. That won’t work. There is no magic answer to dating. Don’t go into interracial dating for those reasons, you’ll waste your time and who wants to waste valuable time. If you really love being with a black men, but you haven’t met the right one, don’t waste your time with other men of other races. You won’t be happy. You don’t wanna go into interracial dating for the wrong reasons. Rebounding is a wrong reason. Listen to what this lady is saying, she will save you a lot of time.

    From experience, I would suggest preparing for "compatibility testing" from friends & family. This probably includes learning new interests, habits, having to win over social circles thru charm & etiquette, etc ... bc you will be judged. And the man might have to consider their negative input.

    Great video Amanda! I think it's important to understand that many (not all) American men of any race are a bit lacking. So, black women who are thinking outside the box, opening up their options, and willing to take the road less traveled are traveling outside the US. Thank God for social media because black women are documenting their travels and dating life and the plethora of marriage proposal videos, and wedding videos, and birthing videos between black women and nonblack men is skyrocketing. The world is our oyster Amanda and I predict that 2024 will further show that black women are the new "It Girls" of the dating market. Thank you Amanda🥰

    Hello, my lovely kindred spirit. I'm sure I've said this before, but I love hearing how happy Ginger Snap is making you, and that he's taking good care of my good sis. 🥲❤ You are so deserving.
    I'm going to preface this by saying that maybe I'm reaching/over analyzing things, you know us Virgos. 🤭 These are my thoughts. To your first point: I get so heated when I see and hear some Black women announcing, proclaiming that they are no longer dating Black men and are now dating white men. First of all, that seems really disrespectful towards white men. They're treating them as some sort of second option; and the fact that it has to be announced, (in my opinion) means that it is just an attention-seeking tactic to get a brutha to act right. 🙄 Meanwhile, these theatrics makes it very problematic for those of us Black women who sincerely want to date white men. 🤨😑

    I’m seeing way more females than ever at the gun range, but they are almost always with guys. For women that have not tried that activity, many public ranges are offering lessons/group shoots specifically for females. These are generally a very safe way to shoot because you have certified instructors working with the people and in a lot of states you can do this without having a license to carry and using firearms rented from the range. In the northeast all the ranges make you take a written safety test after reading a short booklet and they run you through a data base to make sure you are not a prohibited person.
    Even if you only do it once it is a very fun activity! Oh and from what I’ve noticed over years females generally do very well and enjoy themselves!!

    Hello Ms. Amanda As an african american woman who used to date white men, its sad that there are not many interracial marriages when it comes to black women and white men with asian and white that's a different story but the vast majority of white men want a white woman and sadly there is nothing we can do about it, the white men that i mostly dated were online dates and sadly the relationships didn't last long. my question to you is (coming from a black woman) should i stay with my ex boyfriend who is asian or just forget about him the last time i saw him was in 2015 can you help a sister out ? thanks.

    • @AmandaAwakens
      @AmandaAwakens  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, I believe in general numbers show that most people of all demographics tend to marry and date within their own race. And that's okay. As far as your situation goes, I mean this in the most respectful way possible but I do not know you or your ex partner and so I don't feel comfortable giving advice. All I can do is offer some questions. What made you two break up in the first place? And since then have you seen substantial change/growth within yourself and within your ex? If this hasn't happened then the issues that occurred the first time around can crop up again. Hope that helps!
