This song holds a special place in my heart. My father, who is Hapa haole, introduced it to me when I was just 7 years old, through some Hawaiian friends we had in Florida. Despite growing up in poverty and being disconnected from our Hawaiian lineage. KUE has been a constant in my life. It's not just a song; it's a bond between my father and me. We still sing it together, and now, at 28 with children of my own, I share this beautiful piece of music with them. We've never really been in touch with our roots, aside from the passing of my Great Grandma Eve in the late '90s, who carried the family name of LeiAloha. I want to express my deepest condolences for the loss. Your music, especially KUE, has been a source of comfort for me, even out at sea while serving in the Navy. Thank you for creating something so powerful and timeless. You all are truly great.
I'm guessing the sun was pretty bright for those hawaiians lol . Remember listening to this song on TAPE 😂 . Going around the island in a 92 blazer ........
