The only bad thing I can think about is that you can kind of get addicted to them and not feel as good about the little amount of hair you naturally have
@@kentyiluminada7676 well yes..pretty obvious from when you look at hair extension videos here on UA-cam and see 9 million videos titled hair extensions for thinking or thin hair !
2 years of wearing hair extensions every day for about 10 hours everyday, and my hair is NOT damaged at all. If you do it right you won't ruin anything. Don't get crappy ones and you won't be dissatisfied. No headaches. No thinning. No hair falling out. Some people, like me had a bad hair cut wear the lady cut about 5 inches shorter than I wanted. To the vase of my ear. That looked like crap on me and I looked like a little boy. Extensions saved my dignity and my mood. I'm soo very glad I got some nice ones and I didn't have to go to work looking like a 5 year-old cut my hair.
YES!!!!! I went from almost waist-length hair to hair just below my shoulders, in what was supposed to be a 1" trim! I couldn't STAND having short hair, as I partially use my hair to hide behind! Not to mention, it thinned out a lot after being vegan for 9 years! And I have been wearing clip ins for 2 years with no further damage to my hair... As a matter of fact, after eating meat again, I'm growing some new baby hairs. The extensions have not done damage.
By the way guys, I highly recommend Zala and minihouse888 extensions. You can get an entire full head set of human hair, 20", for under $150, and they will easily last a year (even dyed repeatedly -- even bleached!) .. Just make sure you brush them, keep them in a bag when not in use, and keep them moisturized. Remember, they're not growing from your scalp, so they're not getting the oils from your scalp! I'd suggest a moisturizing treatment like macadamia oil once every 1-2 months, depending on how often you wear/wash.
I have seen videos of women talking about how it took years for their hair to start falling out, like 5+ years of daily or almost daily wear. It takes time but it will happen unfortunately :/
I have had my Luxy Hair extensions for almost 4 years now. I have dyed them once, curled, straightened, washed them, teased some of them and made a chignion for a bun etc. and they still look brand new. So it is possible to have them forever
Y'all know how there's weird sections of UA-cam? Where everything is weird and you recognize nothing and it's like you're discovering an entire new world? Bro that's exactly what this is for me. Wow. Learning so much right now.
The clips do put stress on your hair strands/scalp as well as snag your hair. Everyday wear especially, can and will cause some form of damage sooner or later. Some people more than others.
What logic makes you think you're going to ruin your hair? They are just as damaging as putting your hair in a ponytail or a clip everyday of your life. Nothing has damaged my hair in the slightest in 2 years of daily use. I say don't wear them at night. And take them out when you don't need to show off your amazing locks. But the weight of my extensions is not even 2 lbs. If your hair can't handle that then your hair is already too damaged for you to do anything to it. Fix it first.
If your head is hurting, I'd suggest you're not using the method shown here, but where you clip them at/near the scalp. You may also be damaging your hair by using the unnecessary steps many people suggest, when applying clip ins: Back combing/ applying product like hair spray to each section. Just some thoughts!
Wow! This video was very informative. I just came across it, I am African American and trying clip ins for a curly look. Your video was the best at answering my hair care questions. Just want to say thanks even two years later your videos rock!
For the people saying that her hair is dull, please remember it is the winter months (also videos can effect that to)... Most people's hair changes during this time, the summer sun makes the natural shine and highlights come out.. And when it is cold and no sun hair can get dry from the cold winds and many other things can happen 😊 I think the cool thing about hair is that everyone's hair is different and can look different which is fine!
I would love to see a video from Luxy Hair expressing answers to the all their complains in a professional and respectful manner. I have watched tons of reviews; I have wanted to hear some replies from the Luxy Hair team. The shedding, the plastic covering, washing them, things like that.
Hi darling Raluca! We'd be happy to make a video addressing concerns and complaints with clip-in extensions, I'll add it to our list of videos. In the meantime, do you have any questions or concerns regarding Luxies we can help with? Feel free to let us know here or by e-mail to info@luxyhair.com. We're always happy to help. xo
oh my god they are horrible, ive bought many sets of extensions throughout the years and im upset i wasted money on luxies just for them to be completely matted within a literal 2 week span. Theres no way I received real human hair.
Thanks! I just got my first clip-ins yesterday and tried them for the first time today without watching any helpful videos yet, just to get a real first impression. I'm already in love! The eyebrow-level trick is easy to remember, I'll be using it. ^.~
Another trick I’ve learned is to flip the teeth upward so it’s grabbing closer to the base of the hair instead of keeping them downward! Much better grip! And extremely little slippage!
Hi love! The lifespan of clip-in extensions will vary depending on the general care they receive, and how often they are worn. Typically, extensions will last you anywhere between 3-6 months or up to a year or longer. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to the Luxy Hair Support team at info@luxyhair.com. We're always happy to help. xo
The first myth is actually REALITY.You have thick hair because of genetics not because of extensions.Besides don't bullshit people saying that luxyhair extensions don't pull your hair down and they don't live your hair thin.Even Mimi suggested in a video called "How to prevent hair loss and have beautiful hair" that you shouldn't wear your extensions 24/7 and especially not wear them when you sleep.DON'T LIE just to sell your products!!!!
Hi dear Luiza - thank you for your comment. At no point in this video are we lying to sell our product. The first myth Elanna mentions is in regards to the fact that her hair has not become damaged as a result of wearing extensions. Obviously, clip-in hair extensions do not make your natural hair thick and healthy - her natural hair will continuously be thick and healthy and not brittle or damaged as a result of the extensions. Any other questions or concerns, Luiza? E-mail us at info@luxyhair.com. We'd be happy to chat more about extensions with you.
I don't think anyone is suggesting you wear clip ins while you sleep. I have very thin hair after 9 years of veganism, and I can assure you that wearing clip ins for a couple years have not done MORE damage to my hair. I am thinking of moving onto tapes so I don't have to apply/reapply, though!
My Luxy extensions that I bought when I was sixteen are still good and I'm 21. They're amazing! Now, though, I'm in the market for permanent extensions, which are unfortunately very expensive, and it's difficult to find some that are real hair.
Hali Moran I've gotten Zala extensions (clip in) and loved them, but I've also been shopping for longer-lasting, done tons of research, and it seems tape ins are best: Which Zala offers!
I have crazy color, so I have to use 100% human hair extensions. I typically spend around $100 for a full head set of 20" extensions, and they easily last a year: I've even bleached one set twice!
I buy this halo , love the color texture and everything but the wire hurts after some hours and my scalp already reacts to that. Any suggestions on that?
I am thinking about buying hair extensions for the first time. But I don’t really want to spend £50 or £100 pounds just to try it out, and I’ve thought about clip ins, because tap ins seems like a bad idea with the glue and stuff. I just got my natural hair (light to medium brown) highlighted with golden blonde and bleach blonde, so it might be harder to find a match, especially online. Is there any cheap option worth buying to try out, and If so where and is it online ??
I feel like extensions would be just like a pony tail or clips that you put in hair I don't see how you would have bald spots and lose hair from this just love it 😍
Thanks for the tips, bought my first hair extensions today at Sally's beauty only they are one long continuous hair extension and I have no idea what to do with it or how to apply it. No clips or anything, just a long strand of beautiful curly locks
That's a hair weft you can cut it into pieces the size of the clip in extensions you can buy and then sew clips on them Sally's also has clips below the extensions they look the same as clip in extensions once you are done.
I think I might buy hair extensions(not these). My hair is down to my hips but the last 5 inches is super thin! After reading that all of you guys have experienced hair loss with clip ins im not too sure if I should go for it.
I learned a lot. I love clip ins too. But I have a Bob and when I clip in my long extensions, it looks very thick where the Bob ends at my shoulders and thin past my shoulders. I back comb the ends abit, to make it less obvious. Love my extensions so much, I was thinking of a short natural cut so I can wear my extensions every day.
We recommend that you check out our video (www.bit.ly/luxyshorthair) for how to blend Luxies with short hair. We believe you will find this quite helpful. xo
My fav u givin ur dog a kiss! I'm a hairdresser & I think extensions do save ur hair u're not styling ur actual hair as much. Ppl need 2b more careful wearin extremely tight high ponys& parting hair tightly &only1 way, dangerous4 ur hair Sharp bobby pins R like lil razor blades. Good job debunking hair extensions myths & great hair😉
How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on the hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it get curly when it gets wet, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it and can it make hair worn?
Really helpful! Thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks> I am getting some hair clip in extensions for my Wedding day to be able to create the style I want. But this is my first time using them. Yours look amazing!
I have short hair and I like t it but I want clip ins hair extensions because I wanna do different styles to my hair all I can do is have it down but my parents won’t let me they said I don’t need it well my mom didn’t either and my sisters didn’t need dye in there hair so I expect some hair extensions
For those with short hair, we recommend to opt for our heaviest 220 gram Classic set. This will help ensure that there are enough wefts and hair to create a seamless and natural transition where your real hair ends and the extensions begin. Otherwise, opting for a lighter set may result in the extensions looking "stringy" or unnatural at the bottom. Please feel free to email us a photo of your hair in natural lighting to info@luxyhair.com and we will be happy to help. 💗
I can never find the perfect shade for me... do you have any experience or advice how to bleach them? I’m blonde and on web they always look like perfect match but when they arrive they are more orange-like.... now I have some expensive ones...please help!!! 😢
Hi beautiful! We never recommend to bleach your Luxies, as this can cause damage to the hair. If you do decide to do so anyway, we recommend to take your extensions to an experienced hair colorist to have them professionally done, and to test a one-clip weft first prior to dyeing the full set. In terms of your perfect match, please email us at info@luxyhair.com with a photo of your hair and we'll be happy to help you. 💗
The only problem I have with my hair extensions and it doesn't matter the brand is my natural hair always ends up matting with the extentions, but even without the extensions in it does the same, so even thou it might be a quick fix to getting long hair and volume but over time it will do more damage to both the extension and your natural hair if you have the same problem
What length does your hair needs to be for wearing clip ins causi i have a bob and like to try it but iim scared the show because my hair is on the shorter side
Hi love - for best results, we recommend for your hair to be at least 6-7 inches in length in order for Luxies to blend naturally (that's around shoulder length). If your hair is long enough to wear extensions at this time, we also recommend for you to opt for one of our heavier sets (160g or 220g) to ensure there are enough wefts and hair to create a seamless and natural transition. If you have any other questions, please e-mail the Luxy Hair Support team at info@luxyhair.com - we're always happy to help. xo
I have thin hair and I really have been thinking about getting extensions but I'm scared that it will make me get bald spots and pull out my hair and I can't afford that so can somebody please give me some advice on what to put in my hair and how to put them in properly without damaging my hair also what types should I use clip ins, tape ins???
What color is your hair in this video? The base looks like my natural hair color that I want to return to, and I don't know what color to tell my hairdresser. I do like the dirty blonde highlights, but the base seems a bit darker and ashier, with blue undertones. I would very much like to know what to call that color. I hope it's not just a camera lens filter... :). Thanks!
Hi dear Alina, I would show this video to your hairdresser and they will know what colour to add to achieve this look. Even if we know the exact hair color Elanna's hairdresser used, it may turn out different based on what colour you're starting with. Leave it to the experts, I say 😊 Good luck!
Yes, you will. Luxies are ideal for many different hair textures, however, your hair should be relatively smooth in order to blend with the texture of Luxy Hair extensions. 💗
Hello. I want to put those extension in my hair. But i dont know wich ones are best as i will be headbanging like mad for an hour while playing guitar on stage. Any help pls?
Of course! Please email us your pictures in natural light to info@luxyhair.com and we'll be happy to let you know which set will best match your hair type, xo
Comment 300!! 😍🥰😘😍🥰😘 Thanks for the information! This video was extremely helpful with finding useful info to apply to my new hair extensions. Even 4 years later! Video has aged well! Thanks again, doll! 🥰😍🥰
Plz somebody who has a good experience tell me if I cut my one piece clip in extensions into separate pieces..will it destroy my extensions..How can I cut them in to separate clips
Look, I always notice extensions. But I’ve seen some really good ones. Can you just add them for fuller hair not length?? I don’t want long hair, just volume....
If I️ wear extensions every day (I️ have 18 inch hair that is naturally pretty thick) and do not wear them at night (only for school which is like 8 hrs a day) will my hair get damaged? I’m trying to buy 24” to 26” hair extensions.
1. Can i sleep with clip in extentions? (Like she Said- If i put in in a ponytail or a braid) 2. Can i go to the Beach with clip in extentions? And Can they get wet by the ocean water?
You honestly can't tell people that breakage is a myth. Everyone has different hair therefor you cannot label a fact for someone a myth just cause it did not happen to you
Hair extensions make you feel horrible about yourself when you take them out, my £400 clip ins gave me traction alopecia, I tried tape ins and i removed them gently with coconuts oil and my hair filled the sink... just don’t do it
Cosmo dus It will take a long time, for all that hair to dry? I use 100% human hair extensions, so I can do anything I would normally do to them, like drying and curling. (I get extensions from minihouse888 or Zala.) I do believe that even synthetic extensions can be heat styled, but probably at a lower heat setting. And do try those brands, because I have gotten "100% human hair" extensions on eBay that were full of synthetic fibers! I know, because I dye them, and many strands didn't take the color and were thicker, more like plastic!
Due to a large number of lost and stolen packages, we currently do not deliver to Saudi Arabia. We apologize for this, and suggest to use a freight forwarding service to receive your order. 💗
Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait as me?
I'm having a hard time when it comes to.putting my hair in any sort of updo or even a high pony. The extensions tend to show very easily. Not sure if it's because I have very fine hair naturally and my luxy extensions are a bit thicker. Any suggestions???
If you have thin hair tape in and clip in will make it WORSE! I read tape in is the best for thin hair but it broke all my hair! So did clip ins. So the myths isnt a myth but FACT! She has healthy medium thick hair so she's not a good example!
mistyrious1111 My hair is so thin it is almost balding, and I have been wearing clip-ins for two years, I am actually growing new baby hairs about 4 inches now...
That is so very true!! My hair is very fine, medium length. If I had her hair, I wouldn't even use extension. But I am getting married in few months and I want extensions, so I could do elaborate updo. I read all comments and advices on what is best and still thinking what to go with. My hair stylist that does my hair for a wedding, suggested bellami. But I am hesitant without knowing how it will work with my hair, especially because I never tried clip in extensions. Sure, I wouldn't use hair extensions on regular basis, of course. People who mentioned that it damages your own hair, are right, it's all true.
If your clip-in extensions hurt after long wear, it could be that the set chosen may be too heavy for your hair type. If you need help selecting your ideal Luxy set, feel free to e-mail photos of your hair to info@luxyhair.com. We'll be happy to help! xo
My biggest problem is when i put my hair to the back just to see how it blended, you can see where my own natural hair stops, no blending ): it’s been super frustrating
The only bad thing I can think about is that you can kind of get addicted to them and not feel as good about the little amount of hair you naturally have

Really helpful! Thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks> I am getting some hair clip in extensions for my Wedding day to be able to create the style I want. But this is my first time using them. Yours look amazing!
We're here to help if you have any questions! 💗

Very helpful video 👍
Thanks for reaching out! Have a great day. 💗
Great vid. Learned some tips for my extensions lolll
Awesome - so glad you found this video helpful. xo
how about color match? How can i decide which will best suit my natural hair color?thnx
Little Miss there's a video regarding that 😀
How do you get the clips to stay in and not slip? I have to tease my hair for them to stay, is there certain clips I should buy?
Yes, our clips are secure! Teasing the hair is one trick. Also clipping them in the "safe zone" around the crown of your head helps as well. 💗
My hair is right at my shoulders will it would fit this length? A bunch of other videos say it will I’m just wondering
Luxy Hair oh no.... I bought the 120g :(
I have fairly thin hair as well so guess I’ll see how it goes 🤷🏼♀️
I'm always in doubt what are they really made of.... would you be able to maybe do a video on this? Thank you!
They are made of real human hair..
How about ponytail extension for a long pony
Thank you for your suggestion. This may be something that we offer in the future.
Luxy Hair Thank you very much for an advice. It’s very appreciated 👏
Which country's brand is this
And do you deliver in canada !?
Yes, all our Luxies are shipped from our central warehouse in the US, and we deliver to Canada. 💗
@@LuxyHair what are the delivery charges to Calgary
getting them stitch cause big hair loss due to weight . I had lost my hair honestly
If you have any other questions, please e-mail the Luxy Hair Support team at info@luxyhair.com - we're always happy to help. xo
Good to know! thanks for the info!
YOU'RE AWESOMEEEEEE
Great video!! :)
Thank you, Sandra! xo
How to order
How much
All our Luxies are sold exclusively on our website at www.luxyhair.com, and they vary by price. 💗
I have long layers and one side is chopped too short by the front of my face so there’s no fixing it. Will extensions work?
Yes, it should. Please email us pictures of your hair in natural light to info@luxyhair.com and we'll be happy to let you know, xo
Will my hair get damaged if I use the extensions everyday? I have really thin and long hair.
No, our extensions do not cause any damage to your natural hair. It sounds like our Seamless collection may be a good match for you. 💗
@@LuxyHair Ohh, that's good to hear then! I might order from you if I decide to get extensions ^^
SAVY DA WAFFELZ don't use tape in it ruined my thin hair.
Thank you!
This girl has perfect eye brows!
y it is not shipped in india i really need them they r so beautiful n awesome i really wanna use them pls let me know abt shipping to india
What if you have curly, frizzy hair? :( You would have to straighten it first, right?
Yes, you will. Luxies are ideal for many different hair textures, however, your hair should be relatively smooth in order to blend with the texture of Luxy Hair extensions. 💗
The only hair extensions video youll probably need
Thanks for this feedback, darling. 💗
Thanks for the information! This video was extremely helpful with finding useful info to apply to my new hair extensions. Even 4 years later! Video has aged well!
Thanks again, doll! 🥰😍🥰
Great to hear! Thank you as well for reaching out :) 💗
I just have 3 PES of extension long hair how can I wear it
Plz somebody who has a good experience tell me if I cut my one piece clip in extensions into separate pieces..will it destroy my extensions..How can I cut them in to separate clips
Look, I always notice extensions. But I’ve seen some really good ones. Can you just add them for fuller hair not length?? I don’t want long hair, just volume....
Yes, we can certainly wear extensions for added volume & not length. 💗
Luxy Hair thank you!
what colour are the extensions?
If I️ wear extensions every day (I️ have 18 inch hair that is naturally pretty thick) and do not wear them at night (only for school which is like 8 hrs a day) will my hair get damaged? I’m trying to buy 24” to 26” hair extensions.
No, they should not damage your hair.
Good video👍👍👍👍
Thank you! xo
I want them 😭😭 unfortunately in Egypt individuals aren't allowed to order or import wigs and extensions 😭 gosh they are so beautiful and light 💓😍
Why does nobody dye the roots of their extensions to match their own hair
Are these the 16” or 20” extensions that you are wearing?
20 inches! 💗
Luxy Hair Thank you!! 🥰
1. Can i sleep with clip in extentions? (Like she Said- If i put in in a ponytail or a braid)
2. Can i go to the Beach with clip in extentions? And Can they get wet by the ocean water?
We do not suggest sleeping or swimming with hair extensions clipped in, as the hair may tangle more easily. 💗
Iloved this video so much and every video you can download other Ilove this channel 😘😘
This is a good video
May I know if these hair extensions are 100% human hair or synthetic?
100% remy human hair xo
Other methods of hair extensions don't pull on your hair or damage them ether if there put in correctly and look after them correctly! X
Can you wash your extensions while they are still in your head like in the shower?
Jennifer Wayne I wouldn't recommend that, with clip-ins. You might want to look into tape-ins!
not bald, natural hair is pretty, so hair extension is really so wasting time, energy and money.
love this!
Thank you! xo
You honestly can't tell people that breakage is a myth. Everyone has different hair therefor you cannot label a fact for someone a myth just cause it did not happen to you
Thanks for sharing, Cat. 💗
I’m addicted to my extensions I literally won’t go anywhere without them
Hair extensions make you feel horrible about yourself when you take them out, my £400 clip ins gave me traction alopecia, I tried tape ins and i removed them gently with coconuts oil and my hair filled the sink...
just don’t do it
good video love
Thank you, Alma! xo
Luxy Hair you're welcome 😙
You cannot compare clip ins to tape ins or fusions.....you can take out the clipins so of course they last longer.
what happens if it rains and your hair gets wet?
also, its ok to curl and flat iron extensions ?
Cosmo dus It will take a long time, for all that hair to dry? I use 100% human hair extensions, so I can do anything I would normally do to them, like drying and curling. (I get extensions from minihouse888 or Zala.) I do believe that even synthetic extensions can be heat styled, but probably at a lower heat setting. And do try those brands, because I have gotten "100% human hair" extensions on eBay that were full of synthetic fibers! I know, because I dye them, and many strands didn't take the color and were thicker, more like plastic!
Why u guys don't deliver it to Saudi Arabia 😩💔
Due to a large number of lost and stolen packages, we currently do not deliver to Saudi Arabia. We apologize for this, and suggest to use a freight forwarding service to receive your order. 💗
Luxy Hair i hope u in the future do world shipping ♥️
Are they synthetic
Thank you so much 😊 I was contemplating this for years you don’t even know. Lol
Did she say February ensted of January
Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait as me?
Yes, absolutely! 💗💗
I'm having a hard time when it comes to.putting my hair in any sort of updo or even a high pony. The extensions tend to show very easily. Not sure if it's because I have very fine hair naturally and my luxy extensions are a bit thicker. Any suggestions???
Yes! Please check out our Luxy Hair blog for '10 must know hair extension hacks' - there is a great hack for this. 💗
And clip ons start hurting after a long wear
If your clip-in extensions hurt after long wear, it could be that the set chosen may be too heavy for your hair type. If you need help selecting your ideal Luxy set, feel free to e-mail photos of your hair to info@luxyhair.com. We'll be happy to help! xo
My biggest problem is when i put my hair to the back just to see how it blended, you can see where my own natural hair stops, no blending ): it’s been super frustrating
