The backcombing is breaking your hair as much or more than a set of heavy extensions will. I find that leaving out a 1/2 inch section at the nape, and pin it up, then start your first weft above it, this prevents breakage at the nape where the hair is very fine/weak! Great video!!

Thin hair: meaning not a lot of it
Fine hair: meaning the thickness of the strand.
You don't have "thin hair but a lot of it".

Tips for ur already thin and struggling hair:
    1. Powder to make sure it's nice n dry n brittle.
    2. Backcomb the roots so you can wreck your cuticles and weaken it right where you want your hair to break off.
Honestly a good set or at least decent set of extensions shouldn't need you to backcomb your hair for it to stay in securely and you can reduce the bulky look by just clipping most of the wefts slightly lower on your head below the top of your ear with only one or two wefts above that on each side to add some length to the front. I find that so many extension tips to prevent hair breakage are so counterproductive and do nothing but speed up the process. If you want to add volume to your roots then a hair mousse should do the trick without drying your hair out nearly as much but backcombing is something you should NEVER do no matter what you're trying to achieve, unless what you're trying to achieve is just no hair at all.

best way to blend is to get the extensions "rooted" if you have dark roots, light extensions near scalp show easier. I cheated, just used a dark brown eye shadow and brushed on roots worked perfectly!

Back combing is great and really all you need to do because adding powder will clog your follicles that can cause hair loss.

i would suggest using oil to regain hair. There are lots of products to buy but i don't know how effective they are. I haven't tried any. But i do use oil in a certain way that i was told and my baby hairs have grown all over my scalp.
I lost a lot of hair after some hormonal medication. Then i started the oil treatment and within 6 months i have got all the hair growing back. Its very short yet but once it all catches up with the remainder of hair i should hopefully get an even thickness and full head of hair.
I was told to go and get mustard oil which was prayed on. Im not suggesting that people get it prayed on, thats just my belief but i think using mustard oil twice a day morning and evening, the way i was advised would definitely help. Its very scientific aswel. Because when we massage grease into the scalp twice a day it stimulates the blood circulation and hydrates the scalp too. Then the dead hair folicles regain growth. It definitely works. It has for me. You don't have to drench the head in oil but dip your fingertips in the oil, only take a little amount and massage all areas of the scalp in sections, especially the hair lines all around the head. If people don't want to have greasy hair being out then this should help too. As long as you are regularly applying and massaging twice a day. I work from home so i use the oil generously. After about 3 days o wash it all out and start again.
I was strictly advised not to grease wet hair. So make sure once washe out the hair is completely dry before reapplying. Ive been following these steps and have definitely seen a difference. I also never blow dry. I let my hair dry naturally. People with sensitive, less and brittle hair must avoid heat damage too. It doesn't help the already thinning hair. I hope it helps someone.

Can I wear extensions if my hair is below my butt? I have suuuper fine and thin hair. I DON'T want to cut it short, but because it's so thin, I have almost nothing. Is extensions only for short hair or can it be for very long hair?

Right?? I have extremely fine, thin hair, and very little of it. I cry when I see videos of women “section off” a part of their hair, and their SMALL section of hair is 200x more than I have on my ENTIRE head. It’s hopeless. I don’t even know why I’m watching this, as I know none of this is a solution for me.

As Shirley basey sings it's all just a little bit of history repeating , things that actually work never never go out of style , to me they are never trendy to begin with and remain that way , they are just classics , and of you look back at classics on anything it still looks good today despite what is the current trend , but in 20 years from now the current trend of now will look very embarrassing I'm sure , I don't know what it is , I don't keep up with trends

No, I haven't watched this yet because it is very confusing to me. I'm just watching it as I type. How can you wear extensions if you have fine/thin hair? Those of us with actual fine/thin hair don't have enough hair to cover the wefts or even the tape.... Oh, and you can't backcomb like 20 strands of hair to cover extensions and I do use volumizing powder but it's not too healthy for my hair and makes it tangled plus it is already frizzy... I'm at the point where you can see through my hair now to my scalp from the top, front, side, and back. I used to wear my hair up in a ponytail with little barrettes for my longer baby hair on each side of my head. Now I can put up all of my hair with one of my little baby hair barrettes. That's fine/thin hair
