I think a video on how to decide what type of hair extensions (clip in, tape in, hand sewn, etc) are best for your hair type and style needs would be nice! I have hand sewn beaded extensions and it took a lot of research to determine that was the least damaging type for my super fine and thin hair. I'm sure people would really benefit from learning about the differences and who might want to use which type.

I am just hitting confirm on my order, now I can have the bohoiest braided loveliness for my wedding hair and I can get so much more wear out of them now when I just feel like being Fancy!! You're amazing!!!
I know you touched on this a little bit in this video, but you should do an entire video dedicated to different hairstyles you can do with hair extensions and different ways to incorporate them into hairstyles. Also, I'm very tempted to by a set of hair extensions now! Love you and your videos!
I’m so grateful for this video! I just bought my first set of extensions for my wedding in a few months and I’m definitely glad to have these tips and tricks before using them because 1. I was struggling trying to figure out how to put them in especially because I want to have a half up do and 2. I definitely want them to last, so these were great tips to have. Thanks big sis!

Just do it! Once you’ve tried extensions you will love them because of the added volume and length. I bought them after doubting for years and I wear mine every. single. day. Life is short, buy the hair😉
@@s.p5254 Yes, I ordered them and they are very nice, I should have done it long ago and I'm so happy I purchased them. I got the Beyond Extensions Select 10 piece set. Following Kayley Melissa's advice, I made sure to order a shade darker than you would think you need and it worked out very well, although you can also order samples from them if you want to be sure of a true match. I love mine! It is a little bit of an investment but worth it in my opinion. They feel luscious and are well made, easy to put in your hair and gives you a beautiful mane of hair. :)

If you dye your hair (I am brunette naturally and have been doing balayage with deep burgundy and purple color plus darkening and blending the roots) what do you color match to? Do you go with your natural hair color and then get those professionally colored as well? Is there a way to not have to also get them dyed but still be able to blend well?

How do you cover up a weft once it's in your hair? My hair is more on the fine to medium thickness, but I'm always nervous the weft band is going to show
I bought hair extensions well i was growing out a pixie. first i bought really dark hair extensions that didn't blend well into my hair. then in Feb i got some but lighter then my hair. they were so thin and it took over 20 of them to get a normal looking head of hair. it still wasn't enough so i also mixed in my dark extensions. I stopped wearing them after march because i would wear them to much and i felt like it was pulling my hair out. I like to think i'm at medium hair length hair now but my frount is still so short compaired to the back.
I have no intention of ever buying extensions (blessed/cursed with too much hair) but I loved this video. De-mystified hair extensions for me. Would love to see more videos dedicated to them!
Question... As you can tell by my photo, I am an avid fashion hair fan, but I have been missing my length. I normally do fashion colors about 2-4 times a year depending. Any tips on dying them? How often can you dye them? I would love a set that I could blend into my fashion colors.
So for fashion colors it's usually good to go ahead and get the lightest blonde and then use you direct dyes on them :). They may fade out like fashion dyes do for your hair, but most likely they're going to hold on to it pretty well. I would expect to dedicate all or part of a set to each color you like to wear rather than being able to change the colors on them.
@@kayleymelissa -- I am SUPER mindful of my hair when it is done in fashion colors. I do a lot of co-washing almost every wash and occasionally do shampoo when my roots are super oily. I also do as cold as possible when washing. I would expect to do the same for the extensions. I will need to keep that in mind as my hair fades that I wash them so match. That could be funny! Can you dye extensions multiple times?
I don’t have any extensions yet. I’m still learning from you, mainly. This was all really helpful and also really confusing or may be overwhelming would be a better word. That’s just the way it is when you do something new and this is definitely something new for me. Thanks for all your information and tips. 💜
I'm also wondering and kind of scared, does it pull or damage your own hair . I guess what I'm trying to say/ask . Loved your Tutorial and tips and tricks on buns , ponytails since my hair is at a stage where most of the damage is now in my midsection and ends. Buns and ponytails seem to be my go to quick fix and really looking forward to wearing my hair down again looking fuller and healthier. Advice or tips pls. & Thank you in advance.
I just got Donna Bella hair extensions from Sally's. The good is you could see what you are getting, rather than on line. I have had many extensions before, from all over. I don't know if I like it yet or not. My #615 or just light blonde. I was slightly more orange than I wanted, I washed it with shimmering lights purple conditioner, now it is the color I like. (I put in streaks of the purple, so the 615 is still on some of the hair.) It only has 90 grams? that is okay, I have thin hair, and I would not put 150 on my hair. Also I sew the clips on better and sew the spaces in beween the clips to make everything stronger.
Looking to possibly get extensions for my 2022 wedding and Beyond Hair looks super promising for the price! Which type of extension do you use for reference (classic, select, or couture)?
I have fine hair and have damaged it from the 80s over processed bleach , color, perms . So I have damaged it throughout the years. I currently only high light and low light only now. But my hair was fuller and thicker even though my hair has always been thin , when I was younger. So I'm excited to try extensions. But I'm a first time beginning and I have no clue how to begin on my own. I'm afraid of them looking fake simply just because I really have no idea how to do them so they will look natural. But excited at the same time. I wacthed your video for the first time, it really helped me feel so much better about getting them . Could you give me some encouraging advice?
So many of these tips were helpful truly . I wear Luxyhair hair extensions and have a thinner crown of hair and some of these tips really helped hide stuff especially when I want to do the half up half down ponytail thing. I also finally realized why my clip for my extensions bag never held my hair LOL. Now I got it to stay and work since I saw you do it correctly. Now they aint in a pile inside of the bag 😂
I don't have any but I want some! If I got the beyond hair extensions would I want to get the lightest color? Because I would have to color them. My hair is burgundy and I would want them to match! My ends are lightest part of my hair because it used to be blonde. Then I lightened highlights just a little bit. I wasn't trying to go all the way blonde just light enough to apply the burgundy color and have it pop.
Luxy Hair has ponytail extensions now (and they just dropped some bun extensions too). I love my ponytail one. All I have to do is put my natural hair into a ponytail, then wrap and clip the extensions around them and wrap the loose hank around it to hide the elastic so it looks super classy lol.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for what shampoo/conditioner to use to clean them and then the oil products and heat protectant to use to protect our hair extension babies? I’m very new to extensions and I wanna make sure I don’t ruin them due to inexperience 😅
Hair extensions are something i cannot deal with. I put in hours but they don't seem to blend in cuz of my short hair. I'll try your tips aswell now. Love u ❤️
Question: looking at the beyond extensions and they do look nice but there's a huge price jump between the classic, select and couture...can you tell us the difference between all three? I'm wanting to get some for my wedding and I see the first two only last a few months...was just wondering if you could speak from your experience with that! Thank you
helpful video, I started to look for hair extension after covid infection - unfortunately body after shock and stress of covid lost a lot of hair before grow my own nice to have some:) but Beyond for not does not have European style extension :(
I dont know how to say it but I get headache & pain everytime I try clip ins so even tried several ways. I was looking towards halo as that won't tug that hard. But I really like 10 piece full heavy set look so much. Please kindly suggest
Hey so I’m looking into to getting hair extensions. How is this company with returns if I don’t end up liking the color? Also, does hair come out a lot when washing and brushing?
What would your advice be for getting extensions if you have a non-natural colored balayage? (For example, I have natural brown hair with purple balayage). Maybe getting a blonde set and dying it with the same color I use, and then use that to add more purple to certain looks?

omg i LOVE your hack.i Hate curling my hair.thank you
Do you know how to revive old matted up extensions
My favorite extension length is 14'''. It is just enough to have long hair, and or a pony tail with out being a pain or too much drama.
Great tips and tricks 😍💕💕
Have you done hair extension reviews on amazon hair extensions?
Thank you
helpful video, I started to look for hair extension after covid infection - unfortunately body after shock and stress of covid lost a lot of hair before grow my own nice to have some:) but Beyond for not does not have European style extension :(
hi kayley, would it be possible for you to make a video about hair loss and chemical damage and everything behind it? #baldspot after bleach wash :(
Thank you!!! I'm freaking out!
I dont know how to say it but I get headache & pain everytime I try clip ins so even tried several ways. I was looking towards halo as that won't tug that hard. But I really like 10 piece full heavy set look so much. Please kindly suggest
Just got my first set of clip in.
I would like more information about buying hair extensions. Please and thank you.
we ❤ this video!!!
Is there a big difference in the select and classic extensions?
You are like a big sister! You are awesome😊✨💕❤️
