This plane is a favorite of my son and I. We fly as often as possible off the pond behind out house. Here are a couple quick tips: 1) place the battery all the way forward in the nose, the battery cover has an extension that will hold it in there. 2) turn off stabilization by pressing the button on the upper left 5 times. Press once to get back to stabilized flight.
I checked rc groups and the Gyro can be shut off and turned back on using transmitter...press top left button 5 times to turn off ,then press it once to turn gyro back on..
I've been considering one of these for a while as an FPV basher. I always find it easier to improve my skills when I'm not terribly concerned about the crash. Amphibious capabilities make it all the more interesting.
The Toy plane company "Flybear" is trying out a hobby grade plane called the Flybear FX9706 RTF . Its a brushless lil plane and It looks really cool and has verticle "drone" mode. Maybe you guys can review it?
Hey guys! Local Ohio fan! I comment here and there, if there is one comment I hope you see it’s this one! Fly that plane on the 3s 800mah g2 battery!! It will rip!!!
You should upgrade it to a 3S lipo. That thing screams on 3S. And I found that it flew better with the 2S battery in the front section and not the middle section.
Abby missed a unique opportunity with t his plane...she could have done "planuts", donuts with a plane on the ground with this beastie! Sorry I missed this when it came out, but that was the day that I fell down some stairs when they collapsed underneath me. No permanent damage, CT scan showed my brain was all there, and the x-ray of the big toe on my left foot showed it wasn't broken....still felt like it for the amount of pain! It is still swollen and hurts a lot...but the swelling has gone down and the toe is no longer black, more of a purple. Anyways, the next time you take this plane out...planuts!
Is this the one that is water proof and can land,takeoff in water...or does it just look similar to that bigger plane? Also can you turn off gyro? Or do you not know? Ps what type of foam ,epp? Thanks
That looks like a lot of fun, how would you compare that to a seaplane when flying on snow? That plane even seems perfect to practice landing, but the wing strakes seem thick, a small scale plane like this could use "real" (thin) strakes to actually incease life in angle of attack, and help it not drop like a rock like you said, it could maybe glide in for a nicer flared landing. those gloves are awesome, its just the thing i need, my hands are always cold even if its not cold.
Ya know, I’m fully capable of having more fun with cheaper things in general to be completely honest. My shoes for example I caught on sale at Walmart (not in this video) that are my daily shoes. I paid $8 after taxes for the pair and they are super comfortable! I get more excited about that than I ever would for a name brand of any kind. That’s just me though! Having said that, I can’t deny the level of quality that Eflite brings compared to these off brand things. But yeah, super fun and a fraction of some name brand things out there!! 👍💯😎⚓️

Darkie is correct! I’ve never had an airplane lose connection and it fly away. If it’s ever lost connection, it would likely crash shortly after losing connection if that were the case. And yes, I’ve had at least one drone just completely fly away after losing connection never to be seen again. ⚓️

😂 Try moving the battery forward a bit Nate. It looks pitch and roll sensitive, and the gyros are over correcting, causing pilot induced oscillation. Well done, Nate... So funny!

HLK J11. It's a lot bigger in person that I was expecting. I put INAV in mine mainly for GPS rescue. I bout the kit version for like $85. The basic PNP setup was about $190. Set it up to run on 4S. It is a blast to fly, but cg is a little more touchy than I was expecting, plus I had to change motor angle a bit because it was pushing the nose down super hard when you give it a lot of throttle, in the air you don't notice it that much, but on the ground it was making it tough to get off the ground.

Idk if there's still around or not but I remember not too long ago when the RC brand Air Hog's put out the vehicle that you could drive around on the ground or out on the water like a boat or fly around in the sky like an airplane. I don't remember what it was called but this definitely reminds me of that 😋

I recently acquired a Skynetic Dragonfly of a very similar design; 3S 1300. A bit larger, should be lots of fun off the snow!
