    hahaha when you told the the first guy that you're in Netherlands 荷兰(he lan), he said he was also in 河南(he nan), a province in the middle of Mainland China. People from some region in China can't tell the differences between the sound L and N, so he thought you were in the same place 哈哈哈哈哈哈. the city he mentioned was 郑州( zheng zhou) ,which is the capital city of 河南 province

    I have a sudden motivation to work on my Japanese!!!! I want to understand enough japanese so i can carry a convention too!

      In my opinion, understanding is more important to focus on before trying to speak. And being able to understand others is so satisfying!

      @@Angelovanrooij yess!!! Maybe, I should have that as my goal. At least I will be able to understand. And then maybe I will be able to mimic what I hear and know how to speak

      Speaking comes eventually. You'll know what to say if you've had enough exposure. Of course you can always practice which is what I was doing here haha
