I am 58 and started hitting it hard again three years ago at Iron Revolution in Howell, NJ. I went from 230 dad bod to 190 definitely not a dad bod. There's nothing like being at a pool, or beach and having people randomly say "damn you are jacked!" And definitely love the reaction from the wife! So cool! Love the videos Jay! You're the man!
I had to stop working out for 12 years because of a herniated disk. I am now back at the gym trying to get back into shape. I lost all my strength and size from not working out for that long. I have been back in the gym starting from scratch for a year. I am 47 years old and I am hoping by I'm 50 I can get back into shape. It's a marathon and not a sprint.
Muscles don't forget as they have a good memory. You will bounce back quicker than you think. Just resist the temptation to go heavy. It's not necessary. Good luck!
I am 37 I started bodybuilding again in April. I am having a hard time with my diet. I eat everything I can but I know it's not right. I just trying to eat 5 to 6 meals a day. These videos are a big help. Your my hero jay.
@16 min Jay I can relate Chris Cook offered to help me get ready for the 2003 Excalibur for free and man did I follow and work extra hard never missed a meal or never went over a Oz on any meal measurements … came in and crushed my class first callout solo … what a great feeling and it was because I didn’t wanna let him down as he was teaching/coaching me for free… he’s a great dude!
All of the J walking gives me motivation. I’m retired firefighter and I work out four days a week four hours a day. It’s my discipline it’s helped me through PTSD. Thanks Jay PS also Dave full-time bodybuilder.
You and Dave turn out great content that keeps me going. Ultimately, the people that make excuses why it can’t be done dive me. I’ll be 48 in a few weeks, take nothing, including supplements, and bury most people. Eating right (and a lot) hard work, and proper rest. Like you said “make it a habit”. Been doing this for years and still keep getting better. Fit for 50 has just added to all of that. Keep it up.
Great video guys!!! Lol those darn leaf blowers 😂 I live in downtown Portland Oregon and they are always blowing around at 7 in the morning on the weekends 😂
So you’re question on the video was what gave us the motivation. Well for me actually Jay, You’re actually the motivation for me this time to keep going and just want to say a big thanks to that because we all know it’s hard and you’re right, you have to have something driving you.
We're the same age and I've been following you since you first came on the scene and I read an article about you in Muscle and Fitness. I even wrote to you once for workout advice and you responded the very next day!! Always a class act and great role model .. the best!
Watch you everyday brother. Ty for the content. Being consistent is definetly the ticket. With training and food. Just keep going wether you hit it hard or not. It keeps you mentally involved with your end goal and the key is to stay connected to that.
I love Jaywalking. I remember when you first said you were doing the “fit for 50 last August” and met you at the Olympia last December and this year at the Arnold 🙏🏼❤️
2006 ...I had wallpaper on my PC with Jay curling barbell for biceps ... today i'm 39 yrs old guy and to be honest I just drinking now 3rd beer and watching Jay walking ... I can't wait Sunday morning workout at the gym... God bless Jay, Angie and Cameraman. All the Best guys :) greetings from Ireland/Poland
6:20 Yes!! Add some fish back in. I get my Orange Roughy from Publix 💯💯 I had never tried them until Matt Porter added to my plan years ago and I got hooked since then!! Not easy to find in other states though.
Jay has always been a good motivating factor. Used your training and diet plans in magazines when I was in my 20s in 2000s. Now at age 41 I dabble in coaching myself for Mens physique. Got an overall locally in April and 8/12 PA muscle show and 8/30 Pittsburgh North Americans masters nationals. Let’s go old man!!!!!👊🏻
I’m a 50 year old NPC competitor and your videos inspire me!! Weight cap on men’s physique is a good thing! They are massive even in the NPC lots of crossover to BB backstage I can’t tell the difference except their suits are shorts😂. Competing is a hobby for me and I love hearing your discussion on applying what you’ve learned over the years into this Fit to 50 journey! My favorite part was hearing your compliments to Dave “man you were biggggg”
I also love orange roughy (because I'm not a fish person)...ate a lot of it late 90's/early 2000's. It became "overfished", endangered & widely unavailable to buy after 2007. I still can't find it in my area (woods of Missouri), but I've been told it's appearing again in the STL area. And grow your own chives. I started my own this year ..so easy to just trim what you need for your meal! They're good in cold climates & should do fine in Nevada. And they come back every year on their own. Thanks for the great videos. I watch Jaywalking & Cutler Cast while making my egg whites & rice before heading to the gym, 7 days a week. P.S. I'll be 47 on July 1. 💓💓💓
I used to travel 300 days a year for work. Would have to hit whatever AF or local gym that was close. Almost always went in before work. Dropped 74lbs in '21.
A conference nothing less than the best. Jay, you fit right in with those Champions. Hate I missed that. Oh well. I’m sure you did great. All you have to do is be your intellectual, humorous, honest self. I’d vote for you. 🇺🇸
Love the chive cottage cheese, too. Walmart sells small cups for a little over a dollar a piece. If you don't have walmart.........nothing better than mixing in fresh chives. 9:30
Great to see jay. And. Dave again. .. it started of great. Jay talking about. Arms. Yes i building mine up at present so any good tips. Are great. .. it’s good to hear jays. Rotation at present with gym and eating. .. I mid 40 s. Now. So. Yes. Starting late in life. But I so into it.
I watch your video of working out that certain body part for the day. Been lifting for 2 months now and can see the transformation already. What motivates me is seeing my body change looking better and stronger. I have to get up at 4 in the morning no matter where I'm at. Because I move furniture for Atlas van lines over the road. So eating on the road and working out takes alot of discipline. But I really want to thank you for the motivation and instruction in your videos. I always thought I needed a coach to get me started. But you've been my coach through these videos. I turn 50 in two years I hope to be in the best shape of my life by then.
My motivation...I look at myself and think, "that needs to be better, that needs to be smaller, that needs to be bigger" etc. I'm 65 and I don't like what I've done to my body, but, I'm having a hard time getting my body to respond, meaning, build some muscle in some places and not burn the fat in other places. Men's Physique - I really like this "new" category...not too big, not too small.
Hey J, thanks for the motivation to keep pushing in my rehab. I’m 55 and was crunched by a truck cycling last October. Broke my back, pelvis and broke/displaced my femur in two places. Couldn’t walk for 4 months
Jay I met you at the Golds gym that closed down in Vegas, I guess it was around 2006. I was surprised how down to earth you were and easy to talk to,even during your posing session. You look good, healthy. And is wish you the best at whatever goals you're trying to accomplish. Oh yeah my thirteen yo son met you as well at the same time. You left a lasting impression on him, he started weight training and is still training to this day.
Looking great champ!! Thanks for taking us along for your fit-for-50. I love hearing you guys talk about your days in Venice at Gold's and all your favorite restaurants! Keep us the great work Jay, and thanks for all the great content Dave! -Keith
Thanks for the videos they help my cardio sessions and make me actually look forward to them to get some free UA-cam time haha keep up the hard work and inspiration Jay! 💪
6:20 the orange roughy has had some problems with overfishing and I know that they were placed on an endangered species list around where they were being fished (New Zealand, Australia ). Probably not the best fish for us toxicity wise. I heard Dorian dieted exclusively on chicken, is that true?

I watch Jay Cutler all episodes until the end and never regret it. This man is a legend
Can never get enough of this series.
I'm 50 on the 29th July so I'm a few weeks before you Jay but you've given me so much motivation too be the best I can when I'm 50 take care buddy
With that motivation (awareness), You set a schedule to create habit and the discipline will evolve. Jay has lots of discipline.
Jay is the GOAT🐐
Big J make more videos for what did u eating for breakfast brotha

Jay appreciate your commentary and stories. After a sporadic 8 years I’m back in the gym 3 years now. Working on fit for 68!
Good for you my friend. I've been 3 years out of the gym. Now for 51 hopefully. Kindest regards, Richard U.K
Jay walking is my favorite. Keep it up. Always enjoy you and Dave's conversations.
Thank you David
Enjoy these vids. Very interesting and entertaining. Health is the motivation being a truck driver at 55.
Thanks, Jay and Dave (FTB) for including us in your conversations and you can see the growth in your arms !!! SR.
Pleasure
Completely agree with keeping routine. Took a few days off and struggling to get back into it.
Momentum is everything and all good happens to the best of us even Jay I bet’
Hearing stories of the old days motivates me! You guys talking about training crews, training at golds or other cool gyms, max muscle store etc
All of the J walking gives me motivation. I’m retired firefighter and I work out four days a week four hours a day. It’s my discipline it’s helped me through PTSD. Thanks Jay PS also Dave full-time bodybuilder.
Get well soon Capone! Happy Birthday Dave!
The jaywalkings are peaceful. Great to watch before training. Just good to talk training, and it’s better format than a podcast imo.
Being a massage therapist, hunting and golfing keep me motivated to keep working out and stay strong.

Big Dave!! 51 on sunday, but still you got 3 years to catch up to Mike O Hearn! Stay strong - your best physique is yet to come!
Ugh. Don't remind me! Haha

Y'all can't make us go 9 or 10 days between videos again! We need at least 3 per week, especially during this fit for 50 chase!

I must say that ripped to shreds was one of my favorite dvds. Along with one step closer.
Always good to hear your success stories. Very interesting 🎉
This is giving me plenty of motivation I usually watch jaywalking after the gym myself. Life styles of the rich and fir!

I haven't watched a new Jaywalking for a couple weeks and it's amazing how your biceps are popping!
Jay telling you that you looked big has to be kinda surreal.
A systematic approach - He explains how everyone is different even with the diet and the reps and how Jay does it This is so much great advice..
I love when he breaks things down and lessing to him iam making gains yup de jay fella BIG RESPECT from 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💯✌️💯💯
