These lights are great, I got the 8' lights 10 for 200.00 (Amazon) and you can beat them for the price and there so light and easy to install. Used 1 1/4 " plastic one hole straps for more secure hold to my metal ceiling and like you I have outlets on ceiling instead of hard wiring letting change outs easy if needed and ability to shift lights around a little and able to hang a retractable extension cords from ceiling keeping them off floor.

Yes all of the outlets in the ceiling are wired to one light switch. Thanks for watching!
