Tori Amos is more obviously influenced by Kate Bush than any other artist I can think of. The cover art for Little Earthquakes is based on the American release cover art for The Kick Inside.

I really hesitate writing this...but I find it really hard to listen to this. When she sings ballads she can still work around her vocal shortcomings these days. but with dynamic powerful songs such as bliss she isn't able to produce much more than a raspy croak with little to no foundation which also slips out of key often. I do not blame her for this since it's a physical thing and has been exceedingly gotten worse over many years now. But I really do not find it presentable for a concert anymore. :(
@@f4gsforpele I have seen very moving performances during this tour here on youtube. never because they were vocally stunning but because they allowed her to present her strongest assest that remains untouched: Expression and Drama. Once she tries to get louder than a wisper-y soft tone her voice immediately falls apart, gets croaky or shaky. And this can not only have to do with age.
