As a serving police officer I personally believe she is innocent and deeply concerned about the case Can letby refer the case to the CCRC if the second attempt fails?
So much wrong with the trial. The media presented her as guilty before and during the trial, absolute bias. It’s obvious her legal team had their hands tied by NHS doctors. They only submitted results of one insulin test. There were 10 other deaths during time period she was not involved with aswell as numerous collapses. The enquiry into hospital should raise lots of evidence. The fact is the death rate shot up when the hospital started admitting younger babies where junior doctors were not experienced with and continued until 2019 long after she had left and then stopped admitting younger babies. The hospital would be liable for tens of millions per baby. Govt policy and greed of NHS trust. She deserves appeal. I have grave doubts about her conviction.
How can the doctors get off scott free? If I suspect someone is murdering babies I don't write their boss an email complaining about it, you have to report it to police..! Why did none of the doctors report murder to the police??
Oh wow, so much could be said about this, I could submit a lengthy essay but UA-cam wouldn't approve of that so I'll restrict myself to a single point. In UK law the accused is (as I understand it) entitled to the presumption of innocence, it is up to the prosecution to deliver a convincing case that the accused is guilty. My concern about the retrial on the one count, is that it's going to be a herculean task to have a jury which is genuinely unbiased. They are bound to be aware of the Letby case and much coverage in the media.
I wish one of the conditions for appeal was to attend sentencing. Also if appeal is allowed, then they should be allowed to look into the years prior to her previous case. it was a very short time of her career covered in the previous case, and I think there may be more victims than we had time to include in an already lengthy case.
I will do in due course when I’ve had a look through the past 3-4 years and thought about it properly. In the meantime, for Paper One, I think Intoxication essay and possibly Diminished Responsibility scenario and a GNM scenario- but I’ll sit down and properly look 🤓🤓🤓
There is absolutely no chance of a fair trial!

As far as I know, if this second appeal bid fails then that’s it but I’d have to look at the CCRC’s criteria
Why do you think she’s innocent?
Although, I’ve just looked at the CCRC website and potentially she could go to them

They tried but kept being shut down by their managers. They also had to write a letter apologising to Lucy..

You make a very good point about media influence- the jury will undoubtably have heard about the case. I don’t know what an alternative is though….

There are still many who believe she's innocent, what does this say about the credibility of her conviction?
I think we have to trust the jury’s decision
imagine she turned out too be innocent
I hope she is guilty as otherwise this will be an incredible miscarriage of justice
I do have a question .miscarriage of justices do happen 👍
Please could you upload a video on your A-level law OCR predictions for this year? Thank you!

Shes guilty
Honestly, if she got out of jail she wont survive long, innocent or not.
That in mind unlikely she will get her appeal.
