- Hello friend! In this video, I set a timer for 10 minutes. It's a great way to loosen up (can't get too tight when you only have 10 minutes) and a perfect exercise to get in the flow of creating.

Funny how I love the contrast of that orange and wished you had used it wee bit more in thpainting.

Just watched two of these ten minute videos! I love watching how you make decisions and just go for it. Also, I’d like to suggest that you consider making a new rule… that you are allowed to pause the ten minute timer to dry the paint with a heat tool if you want.

Listening to your thought process was invaluable in this video. I especially enjoyed the fixing at the end. So often our struggle is with making something work, that isn’t working already and to hear what your ideas were to make it work both color wise,like the orange circle, and composition wise, with the horizontal lines was a great teaching moment!❤

I like this little one best of the four - more wild in gesture and although all the vertical strokes bothered you, I feel the diagonal thrust of the composition compensated and added energy. Using translucent orange and yellow caused you grief, but good old woody saved the day. Amazing how you accomplished this in just 10 minutes. These exercises are great, Betty. I wonder if 12x12 and larger brushes wouldn't take very much longer (for you, not me).
Oh! Now you're really challenging me!! I may step up to 8x8 before I try a 12x12. Ten minutes really isn't very much time! Thanks for being here, Ann!

Actually, I might just add that orange in a couple other places in the painting. Maybe some small circles in the left corner or a few dots here and there. Wouldn't that balance it a bit and add more pop? I so enjoy watching you, though! Encourages me to turn on that timer and get painting!
