You mentioned in this or your previous Hamilton posting about whether they have a piano and keyboard or exactly what. Several days ago I posted some information about the music and the breakdown of what is being done by the 10 live musicians used in the live show. I'll repeat it here because I'm not sure you saw it before (it was posted to your reaction to Aaron Burr, Sir). I wanted to provide a little information about the music for the show because you've had some questions in your Hamilton videos that may be answered in part by the following information. Hamilton: An American Musical Music, lyrics, and book: Lin-Manuel Miranda Musical arrangements: Alex Lacamoire and Lin-Manuel Miranda Orchestrations: Alex Lacamoire Ten musicians play in the orchestra pit for each performance (names in parentheses are the names from the Original Broadway Company) 1. Conductor/Keyboard 1 (Alex Lacamoire) 2. Associate Conductor/Keyboard 2 (Kurt Crowley) 3. Drums/Latin-Tim bale/Synthesizer (Andres Forero) 4. Percussion/Mallets-Glockenspiel-Tubular bells/Synthesizer (Benny Reiner) 5. Guitar/Steel acoustic/Nylon acoustic/Tenor banjo (Robin Macatangay) 6. Bass/Upright bass/Synthesizer (Richard Hammond) 7. Concertmaster (Jonathan Dinklage) 8. Violin 2 (Erin Benim Mayland) 9. Violin/Viola (Mario Gotoh) 10. Cello (Anja Wood) Additional music-related elements: 1. Synthesizer and drum programming (Randy Cohen) 2. Ableton programmer/Beatmaster (Scott Wasserman) 3. Associate synth programmers (Taylor Williams, Tim Crook, and Jeremy King)
Jacob seems like he's pretty quick to read and respond to comments on new videos, but given the fact that he's been wearing the same t-shirt in each of these Hamilton reactions, I suspect he recorded it all in one shot, so any additional info we provide now (won't be reflected in his comments during subsequent songs (or for however much of it he recorded at once, maybe just Act 1), but at least he will know the info in "real time" if that makes sense. I also shared a link to the KeyboardMagazine video of Alex giving a tour of the understage rig and showing all the keyboard programming they've done to keep it all together. So fascinating!
So this is the song covering the events (including the Battle of Monmouth) that led up to the duel between Charles Lee and Hamilton's friend John Laurens you heard about in 10 Duel Commandments. In case you've never heard of Charles Lee, he was one of the Continental Congress's top choices for Commanding General of the Continental Army. (And, more importantly, he thought he deserved it over Washington.) At the point in history that is being covered in the song, there was some not-so-quiet whispering going on that Congress should replace Washington with Lee. Then Lee led an ill-advised retreat during the Battle of Monmouth which led to a falling out with Washington and eventually a court martial. Because he continued to rage against Washington to anyone who would listen, a few officers challenged him to a duel, but only the challenge from Laurens led to an actual duel.
Lin put an alternate (longer?) version of this song called "Valley Forge" on the Mix Tape. It goes much more in depth on the hardships the Army faced during the winter they spent training at Valley Forge. (It's also been one of my go-tos over the last 5 years whenever I'm feeling frustrated with politics.)
I want you to have a conversation with Alex Lacamoire, at some point... or listen to his conversations on the HamilCast podcast. You’ll get answers to a lot of your questions. Also, I can’t wait to see you react to the film!
Fun fact: the UA-camr Ricky Downes III recorded the entirety of Hamilton as the Muppets (as in, every character was played by a different Muppet, and Ricky voiced them all). I seriously recommend checking it out. The cast list is as follows: Alexander Hamilton - Kermit the Frog Aaron Burr - The Great Gonzo Eliza Schuyler - Miss Piggy Marquis de LaFozette/Jefferson - Fozzie Bear George Washington - Sam the Eagle Angelica Schuyler - Camilla the Chicken John Laurens/Philip Hamilton - Beaker Hercules Mulligan/James Madison - Rowlf the Dog King George III - Animal Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds - Janice Samuel Seabury - The Swedish Chef Charles Lee - Elmo Congressional Delegates - Floyd and Zoot Crazy Patriot - Crazy Harry Statler and Waldorf - Themselves James Reynolds - Pepe the King Prawn George Eacker - Dr. Teeth Dr. David Hoscak - Dr. Bunsen Honeydew King’s Aide - Sgt. Floyd Pepper Dolly and Martha - Mahna Mahna and the Snowths Washington’s Cabinet - Scooter, Robin, Rizzo the Rat, Sweetums Hamilton’s Fellow Federalists - The Cast of Sesame Street: Grover, The Count, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Mr. Snuffleupagus, Big Bird, Yip Yips, Cookie Monster
you've probably heard this before so sorry if It bothers you, but I think you should consider reacting to the whole show. I would pay to see your reaction on patreon if you have one, and I think others would too. Only because Disney frowns upon showing it outside of patreon. The soundtrack is great but seeing the choreography and how they do each song is neat. I'd love to see your insight on it.
Please make a reaction to a young, very popular singer in world. Videos from this singer collect hundreds of millions of views. Diana Ankudinova is now only 17 years old. She has a very unique, very deep, clear voice. Dr. Marc Reynolds (Voice Teacher, Stage Director, Performance Coach and Consultant, and Acting Coach) said about the performance of this girl: Really really exceptional! Even if you ignore her age, even is she was 10, 20, 30 years older, this is still a really exceptional performer here that we're seeing. But at her age, unbelievable. Really really exceptional! Absolutely gorgeous! And again, not just because of her voice, because her performing, watching how nuanced and engaging her performance is. Ah, it's just so stunning. It's absolutely amazing.
Loving this series of reactions! I think you’d get a kick out of this video... musical director Alex Lacamoire gives a tour of the under-stage “orchestra” pit, and especially all the tech and work behind those amazing keyboard sounds. m.ua-cam.com/video/jHs0NVvTxHY/v-deo.html
I really like the use of silence in this song, they have a few dramatic moments that are undercut by a rest in the orchestration
agree!
If you ever do watch the show, you should definitely make a reaction vid. I’d pay to see the whole thing lol.
LOL
Yes. Please
omg yes on patreon or something
@@JacobRestituto ok maybe not pay cause i’m 15 lmao but i’d definitely love to see it!!!
@@blovelyee899 same I can barely afford clothes so I don’t think I can afford patreon just to watch a Hamilton reaction

At least now he’ll be in the right order? I guess starting off with “That Would Be Enough”. It’s gonna start to get even better.
lol yeah, I started with schulyer sisters and 10 duel a month ago, and then started from the beginning. my bad. lol
The transition of the end of this song into ten duel commandments is my fave - plus TDC being a whole biggie Smalls nod is just amazing ❤️
truth
At the theatre there is an entire orchestra under the stage. FYI.

Cool thanks for the idea!
I'm a little confused, is the texting supposed to be for reaction requests too? Or would that be Patreon?
JamesBond theme in this too.
