Never let other people take you off of your game.
Highly recommend looking up crime rates in areas that you find "unusually cheap" apartments. "Oh look! An apartment with only 600 a month in a place called Korea Town! What a deal!"

When I moved to LA, I looked up places on Craigslist then anyone I liked, I had a friend who lived out here check it out in person. I highly recommend doing that because your friend can tell you how the rest of the building looks and also the immediate neighborhood.
I recently started watching your channel and knew I recognized you at the BET Experience. I didn't want to make a fool of myself, but I kept saying to myself that you looked familiar. It's nice to know that there is someone willing to share their tips and experience as I too have recently moved to LA (it's been about 4 months now) and it has been a journey. I do believe in surrounding yourself with positive people because it helps. That's all I've done since my move and I am glad that I was blessed and able to get here and sustain thus far.

I wish you would've made this video about 9 months ago. My step-daughter came here in Jan. of this year supposedly looking at colleges to attend, but due to poor planning and lack of the "grind" she had to move back to Chicago after spending 7 months on my living room floor.

Should I create an acting reel before I move there? How do I get a good agent? How can you tell which agents are good, and will work with you? is it smart to live just outside of LA? Etc etc Sorry. I'm a Theatre major, but I want to drop out of college. I learn more by doing, then sitting in a classroom. I know I can be successful if I just had a little help.
Finish college if your deep in your sophmore year already or if your beyond that, finish school. You'll need the slight bachelors degree edge to get a decent paying job right away.If you just started your sophmore year or you're a freshmen, drop out now and quick. Also, HAVE MONEY. This can't be stressed enough. I wouldn't feel comfortable with under 8k. Focus on saving and immediately getting a job to get secured before building your dream. If your worried about finding a a place to live or where you're going to get food you'll for damn sure won't be focused on building your dream.

I'm 13 and I live with my dad in Maine and I want to live in California with him, but my mom would still live in Maine and so would the rest of my whole family. I want to venture out in the world instead of being stuck in Maine for the rest of my life, I've been in Maine for 13 years and have never left New England. im a 13 year old male and live in the uk, my dream is to move to La to pursue acting. I have started saving, I have a savings account with £3,000 I add around £300 every year to it and this has really helped me. Even tho im young, I still believe this is possible, thanks!!

+Ragnarok Fayte You need a green card to move there. They have a lotto every year were you can get one if you win. They pick out 20,000 people. You have to be 18 or older though. Or you can apply for college and get a student visa and live there.

Saving will always make it easier for you in the long run, I would honestly save up a couple of years and have some money before moving to an expensive state like valid
