Thank you for this I saw the line dance and was instantly like I need to learn this knowing full well I have no clue when or if I’ll ever be in a situation where I can use this
Thank heaven that I found someone doing that jazz square properly to the LEFT. As a long time dancer and instructor It really makes me wince when I see someone using the left starting foot to do a right jazz square!
Great job, and I like that you made it a 4 wall with the quarter turn. Most of the demos on the step sheet on Copperknob, people changed the last set of 8 to pivot on the right to left, or maybe they just can't read a step sheet.
you made this fun it & i like how you teach well done, thank you so much gonna keep practicing. and how do i get better at counting step or better at timing
The direction, at the change of each wall do you go from starting straight, to changing to the left like in this video? Or do you go from facing forward to left like I've seen in other videos? Which way do you go 1st?
it is kind of dependent on where you are dancing it. When Dasha created this dance to her song, she told the TikTok world that they could dance it as a 1 wall (always facing 12:00) or a 4 wall (changing after each 32 ct)....so, both are kind of correct
One thing that could be helpful is to have bookmarks for each part of the lesson at points where you add new steps or go from the top to make it easier to go back and practice in the middle of the video. For example, I went back to 4:53, repeatedly.
So, if I'm tracking correctly, after the toe heel taps, the lasso steps forward with the left foot to turn clockwise half a revolution, step forward with the left to complete the clockwise revolution, the crossover in front STARTS WITH the lowering of the right heel? eg., the left foot lifts from the back, not the center? It's not complete the lasso, then step AGAIN to shift weight right-ward to initiate the crossover from center? And these lassos are leading with left and turning clockwise, while the first lassos are leading with the right and turning counter-clockwise?
S: this is so cool! I have just come on the channel with you and Grant, and I have to say I am impressed with not only the partnership between you, but your solo skills in teaching. Keep up the good work! Greetings and appreciation from DFW, TX.
Due to copyright laws we can’t post it with music, which is why we create a Short doing it to show what it’s like! Hopefully it helps! ua-cam.com/users/shortsFgp9Hw-_Tzk?si=GMQv_G0dPaz8xq58
This is a type of dancing called line dancing. The timing of the moves let you repeat this set over and over again through the song while staying on beat. That's why at the end you turn to the left and start over facing that direction. If you do that 4 times, you've made a square. Traditionally, there would be a room full of people all in lines (hence the name "Line Dance"), doing these moves all together. Every song has it's own dance set, and usually in these events there's some "Leaders" on a raised platform where people can see them, and they'll demo the moves first. It's quite fun, if you ever get a chance to try it!
We’d love to! But copyright prevents us being able to do so 🥲 Which is why we film a short doing it and try to link it in our comments for you to see it with music!
Thanks for the tutorial. Very easy to follow and I like your teaching style. One thing that would be helpful for me is having a count at least one time through the whole dance so I know how to count it out on my own. Sometimes there’s half beats that can be confusing. Also I would really like a dance tutorial on Pickup Man. If you guys know that one. 🫶🏼
The last part after the second pivot is the only part I'm having issues with. I wanted to learn how to do this so my boyfriend could make fun of me (in a good way) for doing a social media trend, seeing as I really don't do social media. Thank you for this. Hopefully here soon I'll be able to be like, "hey look what i learned!" one day while we're at work. 🖤
0:39 Couldn't you have just flipped the video so that you don't have to face the wall? Film it as is, then edit the video to switch it to have your right side on the right of the video.
Hey Guys, Can you put a line dance for the new Country Song, Hillbilly Hustle " by Dykema C Mathews. The song is on Spotify, Facebook, UA-cam Music. Love to here back from you.
The ones I’m wearing are from Ariat. I’m not sure if they carry these exact ones still but here is a pair that is very similar 🥰 www.ariat.com/P24047_W_FOO.html?dwvar_P24047__W__FOO_color=ROSY_RED&dwvar_P24047__W__FOO_width=B_Medium
when Dasha released her dance on TikTok, she said 1 wall or 4 wall is fine. Many people turn the wrong way on the 4 wall, but both 1 and 4 wall versions are technically correct.

Can you do tutorials for every line dance out there? Best instructor I've seen so far. Can you also do some non-country like Wobble and Shivers etc.
Yes! Please let us know which ones you want us to teach and we’ll try to make them all happen!

They are awesome! Some other good instruction channels out there: BootScootin Line Dance (I have over 300 lessons), Candy Sherwin, & Michelle Wright.
I’ve been looking for Play that Keith but could not find a tutorial. I love that song and would like to be able to do the dance for it as well 🙂

good idea

Are these steps for the whole dance? Or just a specific part? (Sorry I'm not a native english speaker)
You can do the same steps throghout the song :)
