Amazing bit of kit, Altondorf was always the premier brand. I'm not a tech type but you made that programing look fairly easy. It is a night mare trying to get same settings, once you've moved on and then need to go back. Dream workshop.
Great saw, its nearly as big as my workshop. Good content keep them coming.
Thanks for sharing, that's a nice piece of kit. Re your flicker on screen, the refresh rate on the camera is to close to the refresh rate on the screen, that is for example 25hz on the dro 50hz on the camera change the camera to say 60hz or 120hz. This should improve the flicker. Cheers
Thats an amazing bit of kit, Thats going to save so much setting up time
Looks like money well spent to me. I can't imagine the time you will save and materials also. I expect you will be more productive from day one and so pay back starts immediately.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Nice piece of kit Andy the world is your oyster know
Killer machine. Can't even get low budget table saw here in Poland. Still playing with circular saw with guide rail. All the best for you buddy. Like like always
Very good explanation Andy, how are you discovering new ways of doing the work saving time in a simple way and managing to get the capabilities out of the new machines. Greetings 👍
Really interesting. I can see how you might go to the saw to cut down to a rough joint then through the spindle cutter to cut the fully formed joint. I am guessing you could cut you own oak house/extension frame reasonably easily.
I was thinking the same but with a good blade and a good feed rate on the sore there is no need to go back over it with the spindle moulder
I have been wondering why you don't use fritz and Franz jig it is the most used thing I use on my sliding saw

Check CAmera settings and change frequency from 50 hertz might help the flicker. Make sure your iPhone is 4K and 60FPS
Cheers , I use an iPhone to video . I will check
Is that computer altering the saw blade height between 2 different cuts as well as the fence .that is an amazing saw
Yes
Great video! I sent you a link for the "airtight clamps" on a previous video, but don't know if it went through. The easiest way to get the info is just type in "airtight clamps" on youtube and you will get several videos on the clamps. Hope you enjoy them. ExtremeWoodworker also has some videos on installing the system [dated 2017].
what saw blade do you use on the machine?
That's a great method it saves loads of mess and the chance of the occasional breakout on the long corners. Do you have to calibrate/program the new saw kerf thickness and cutting diameter diameter in when you change blades? Tony
It’s just a simple setting you can just type in the Kerf , If you change blade diameter just zero by lowering it down and check zero is zero . More coming on this soon
Interesting machine. Wouldn't it also be faster to use a dado stack on it? Assuming it can take one?
I have a really cool stack , check this Sunday Shop update Cutters
ua-cam.com/video/Bpt5FZqWI9E/v-deo.html …. But to this rebate it’s much clear to remove the oak with 2 cuts
Your videos are great and very motivating, can you use a dado set up for this saw?
Yes , check this ua-cam.com/video/Bpt5FZqWI9E/v-deo.html
I am curious as to why you bought the Altendorf F45 rather than the Format 4 by Felder. You seem to have a lot of Felder equipment and you have many good things to say about Felder, so why not their sliding table saw?
I have other videos on the F 45, I did try to explain why I chose this
Altendorf is far superior to Felder, hence the price differences. Unless money is an issue, always go Altendorf (or in my case Otto Martin, other premium supplier)
Great machine. Did you get the option for double sided blade tilt?
No , just one way
Just one question - which has nothing to do with the saw. I was always taught that the offcut side should be away from the blade and the keeper next to the fence. You are doing the opposite. I can’t remember really why I do it my way and any advantages or disadvantages comparing my (40 year old) way against yours.
Incidentally, I do like the look of the brand new attachment for the Altendorf which is an espresso maker. Coffee whilst you saw.
In this case I’m keeping the offer cut because I am calculating the depth of the rebate I needed, if I was to push the Oak through the other way around I would have to calculate the thickness of the oak to determine what would give me a 15mm rebate, as we were trying to make the most of the oak packs the windows aren’t all the same dimensions, some smaller windows are 80 mm some bigger windows 90mm . So I would be very difficult constantly calculating 15 mm rebate using the off cut make this it’s a consistent no matter what size timber you use
@@ManorWood thank you for the reply. Yes, that makes sense - if the constant is the size of the rebate, set to that.
My rip fence isn’t going to 12mm. It flashes up 16.1mm as if that’s the limit
Seems odd
@@ManorWood all good now mate. I just reset the machine by re calibrating it
Frame rate on camera change may stop flicker
It’s a iPhone , I will looking this this thanks
