I love the way the color came out.
My hair is naturally black, I have some gray in my hair (I had grey and white hair by the time I was 15). I dyed it today and just winged it. Even if I had messed up you can’t see it cause my hair is black already 😂 I always hated my black hair but now it’s my blessing
I thought this might be helpful to say that I use 4a to achieve a soft black color for my hair, and it stays black until my roots which are a golden brown grow in. I've tried black hair dyes---3's and 2's but they turn out inky and flat, whereas this has a very natural and glazed look. Even though the box is called dark brown, the ash tone definitely makes it darker. Everyone's hair absorbs color differently, but for me I leave this on for 40 min and leave it on my eyebrows for 15 and it turns out perfect every time.

Hee Hee we must be clones. :) I am so glad you are liking the Wen. I can't believe how much shine it adds. It's definitely one of those products you have to own and use to appreciate! I wish I could pin curl my hair and actually sleep on it. For the life of me any time I've ever tried I can "feel" the bobby pins, especially since I toss and turn alot (although I'm sure it's more me overthinking it so I feel them more) LOL

How often do you use superior reference color?
Use regular shampoo, then I went into the Wen process as usual. I added the Wen 'stying creme' and blowed dry. My hair was so shinny and soft!! Loving the Wen.
I then put my hair up in pin curls with bobby pins( I have hair your length) and slept on them and woke up this morning to bouncy, shinny curls ( Thanks donnashorts for this great tip! ) and I won't have to do any more than run my fingers through it for styling today. I love this soft wavy look.

Too funny..I just dyed my roots yesterday! I'm telling ya we're little clones of each other..lol. I buy my coloring at Sally's beauty supply. The Age Beautiful is made specifically for mature hair and the pigmentation covers greys well.
I do hate the 'darkness' it creates for the first couple of weeks before it settles into the true color. But it's part o the process I guess. Since I'm trying out the Wen , I was concerned about using regular shampoo...but I did (con't)

Nice shine... but this shade makes your skintone look tired... you should changevthe tone not the colour...
