    Tip #1: If you're using the free version of Canva, instead of scrolling through all the results, you can filter your results to just show the free elements. On the right side of the search bar (where you typed in "vintage sunset") you'll see a sliders icon. Click on that and you can filter out all the "pro" elements.
    Tip #2: (9:05) When you changed the first tree from green to black, at the bottom of the colors/elements panel a little option popped up saying "change all" and showing a green square, an arrow, and a black square. If you click that, it will automatically change all the elements that are that green color to a black. That way, you don't have to go through and change each one manually.

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the tips... I believe the option to filter out Pro elements only works on the Pro account. I don't remember seeing it on my FREE version. I really love the change all feature. I need to try that.

    • @ComedorDelrico
      @ComedorDelrico 2 роки тому

      @@DetourShirts Oh, man, what a bummer! It seems like it would be most helpful for people with free accounts. But I guess they want you to see what you're missing so you'll upgrade. 😂
      I figured maybe you didn't filter because it was a newer feature that was added after the video was made, so was mostly leaving the comment for the benefit of viewers.
      I love your design, you make it look so easy. It always takes me forever to make designs. I need to keep watching your videos, maybe I will learn how to make great designs in a reasonable amount of time. 😅

    This was awesome Juna! I use Canva Pro daily but sometimes you don't know the power of the tools in your hand without a great teacher! Your knowledge of what elements are needed is so valuable for us non-designers. I combine with GIMP to execute steps like what you did at the end. I was thinking I couldn't do certain things but this really helped me to see how to achieve the full design. Thank you for phenomenal content! 💕💕💕

My question is this: If i generate an image in MJ, do I need to upscale it before I put it on a 4500 x 5400 board in canva? Or is that unnecessary or redundant? So far I have been generating an image in MJ, then removing the background (remove.bg), then upscaling 4x or 8x (big.jpg), then putting it on canva and adding some text in an effort to make a tshirt. essentially, I am generating an image of an animal and putting it in canva and adding text.

      Most POD sites will let you pick the back of the shirt instead of the front.... just make sure you pick that option when you upload.

      @@DetourShirts thanks I see that, but when I create the design on CANVA how do I add the option to also do work on the front and back of the shirt designs?

    • @DetourShirts

      It depends on where you are going to sell it.... what POD site are you using to print the shirt?

    I have the pro version of canva. I do not see the color picker where it is supposed to be. Any suggestions?😀

    • @DetourShirts
      @DetourShirts  2 роки тому

      It's kind of hidden.... here is how you find it.....so when you click on a graphic you will see a color box or boxes in the top left corner of top white bar on Canva....some graphics you will be able to change the color and some you won't. ....If you see a box with multiple colors in it you can't change the colors.... If you see just solid color boxes you can change it.....After clicking on any of those solid colored boxes the document colors pop up on the left panel..... the first square under Document Colors will be a square with a plus sign. Click on that and you will see a color picker with an eye dropper in the bottom right corner.

      So I just make sure that the file is 4500x5400 and it will be fine.

    So if we were to use canva transparent background. The black trees would "dissapear" and be part of the background? Because when I download on canva with a transparent background, the gradients I use are still visible on the downloaded png?

    • @DetourShirts

      No... it doesn't work that way sorry.... this design has black trees which would have to be taken out with another program

      @@DetourShirts I tried your design on Kittl and I got most of it. I am having trouble with the trees and rectangle. When I go transparent background the trees and rectangle stay black. How do I fix that issue? I noticed when you changed the color of your background, the trees and rectangle changed as well

      Unfortunately you can't knock out trees from a background yet. You will need to use Photopea or Affinity Designer or Illustrator for that

    When I make this type of T-shirt (canva pro) then I can only sell it in black.

      Yeah on a Mac it's called preview... basically when you double click on the PNG that you saved it will open it up in this app, it's a default app to open PNGs on a Mac. See what happens when you double click on your PNG on a PC... It must open something

    Juno, I'm guessing that 5400 x 4500 size is for a rectangular logo that covers most of the front of the t-shirt. But what's the standard size if I want the logo to be primarily in the chest area? Thanks!
