      Thank you Sarah. Super useful! Quick question: how does one avoid similarities with other designs already on sale? I know it is a "long shot" for AI to recreate to exact designs, but still, is there an easier method than just browsing Etsy to check the designs?
      Thank you and keep posting that great content.

    Hey Sarah I really like everything you share with us on these videos. You are a true pro at it unlike myself who doesn't even have the confidence to get this going part of the reason is because the market right now is saturated with AI content and that is discouraging!

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  Місяць тому +5

      Thank you. Something I think that is good to keep in mind though is the market is not "saturated" with ai products, because it can't be. It's impossible for it to be. Ai is simply a tool to help you create products. Saturation is a niche problem, it isn't an AI problem. Some niches are more "saturated" than others. Even then, all that means is that those niches are more competitive than others, not that they are saturated in the sense they can't be broken into. It just means the standard for product creation in those niches is higher. It just means in those niches customers have more choices so only sell in them if you think the products you create, with or without ai, are better than what exists. If you don't think you can create products better than the competition in competitive niches, pick less competitive niches. 🙏

    These kinf of videos can be inspirational but also at the same time depressing if you are trying these ideas, trying to set up your own shops on Etsy, Amazon or wherever and you getting nowhere. It's so depressing to see it made out to be so easy and all these success stories of people making thousands and thousands each month and you are struggling to get 1 sale and feel like you are missing out and not able to be a part of that.

      Actually, I do use this in my own stores and products and I even made another video on the cross idea formula I have been using here: ua-cam.com/video/M9ZOiqxuMsg/v-deo.htmlsi=l-193i34YpiIWQo3 I do apply this also to ai art and I particularly like to use AI art if no clip art can fill the gap that I need, and I use chatgpt extensively for slogans like this, but still, people will come up with stuff about me that isn't true and I have come to peace with the fact that I can't stop it 🙏

      Why not offer a Pay What You Want Workshop to create one of these projects for those who are curious about or currently struggling with how to use the A.I. tools in the way you demonstrated in this video?
      Collect testimonials from that and continue to serve and build. :)
      By the way, in my opinion, if anyone watching this isn't actively learning how to make A.I. work for them then they are missing out on claiming their share of a massive opportunity!

      I want to say Midjourney gives you the option of creating images strictly for your own use even for selling as a digital image, which is the most restrictive license for most content creators. So, just make sure you are ensuring that the AI package you are using provides that license. It’s usually for a pretty penny, but worth it if you’re an active content creator.

      Then either you pre-pay your credit card to have a positive balance anticipating your sales volume or request additional credit from your lending institution or bank. The printing company will not fulfill your order if not paid upfront. Etsy usually also holds customer payments for a certain time period before remitting them back to you so you really need a start up fund to operate your business until the transactions are running smoothly.

It's free, easy, and a good way to grow your active fan community. Why don’t you remove the background directly in Canva as you use it then ? It’s faster than using 2 apps.

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  Місяць тому +1

      Because I wanted to remove my background before upscaling, and its actually faster to remove the background in Adobe, rather than with Canva, as they didn't have an upscaler while filming this video. It's quicker to use Canva if you're already designing a picture in it, but since I needed to do more to the image, it was faster to use Adobe. Canva's background remover is actually fairly slow, my guess is it's just a server issue.

    The opportunity is real, but those unicorn designs don't sell that much, estimations are wrong since Amazon moved most of the best sellers shirts to an ecological category, BSRs are screwed. A more realistic number is about 1000 usd per month for the whole set of unicorns design. I love your videos and keep the good work !!

    It’s great, but posting designs is not enough, it’s only a few more drops in an ocean of tees, no matter how beautiful they are, the most difficult thing is how to find buyers! With The AI, everyone can create tees, but what do we have to do to sell, then? Do you have tips about how to make money-magnet ads, how to handle social media?

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  2 місяці тому +4

      No, because "money magnet ads" are honestly, in my opinion, overrated as a traffic strategy for new stores. Instead, understanding the new product boost algorithm is the key to success on Etsy and other similar platforms which also now have it. And I have a dedicated video to they topic 🙏 ua-cam.com/video/v3jE2qNt3I8/v-deo.htmlsi=LrfRt6OxyHBAvDgo

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  2 місяці тому +7

      And also... who told you designs weren't enough? Designs ARE enough. They are the #1 best traffic strategy IMO for platforms with viral algorithm. Great designs sell because thanks to the new product boost, all products get given a chance. And because customers will always naturally gravitate towards great designs, coming up with unique designs is the best way IMO to stand out as a new seller. I also have a video dedicated to that topic: ua-cam.com/video/M9ZOiqxuMsg/v-deo.htmlsi=oKhdmBxcCmKho0cr

    You don't get the amount of money from Amazon that you're saying. You just get the profit beyond the cost of the t-shirt. For example, one month, I had a design that sold great - lucked out - sold about 70. I made about a $4/shirt profit above the cost of the shirt. You should give people that information, not MISINFORMATION. They will NOT get the entire $17.99 for a shirt that sells for that amount.

I’ve noticed when you publish from printify to Etsy it won’t do conversions for you. So US 23 will come across to Etsy as AUS 23. Cheers, Clare

    How many people are not making a penny from print-on-demand? You pick out the best-selling design, and no doubt these designers are pushed to the front of the queue. So, these fantastic figures are false. It's just like the others on UA-cam, with these outlandish profits people are making. It is there for you to bolster your visitor numbers for YOU to make more money on UA-cam. If you could make these amazing profits, why would you go on UA-cam? You would be far too busy making $000,000 with designs.

      **Print-on-demand (POD)** has become a significant industry, contributing to the growth of eCommerce. In 2023, the POD market reached an impressive **$8.03 billion**¹. Let's explore some insights related to POD profits:
      1. **Time to Reach $1,000 in Revenue**:
      - On average, sellers take **165 days** to achieve their first $1,000 in revenue.
      - However, successful merchants have managed to reach this milestone in less than **118 days**.
      - While it may seem like a long time initially, consider the potential: having a business that generates $1,000 a month, risk-free, within 4 months¹.
      2. **Experimentation and Persistence**:
      - Not every product becomes a bestseller, and that's okay. Embrace failures as lessons.
      - High-volume sellers have over **500 listings** on average, including multiple items, designs, and variants.
      - They publish approximately **67 new listings** until they hit the $1,000 Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
      - Try new products, test graphics, and experiment with sales tactics. Bold ideas can lead to big wins¹.
      3. **Profit Margins**:
      - Print-on-demand stores can earn a **15% - 20% profit margin**.
      - After deducting costs, you retain this percentage of the selling price as profit².
      In summary, while POD success doesn't happen overnight, persistence, commitment, and informed strategies can lead to profitability. So, whether on UA-cam or elsewhere, the key lies in adapting, experimenting, and creating value with your designs¹².

    Except your "secret step" doesn't work. In your video the distressed background is also applied to the transparent areas (little dark splotches all over the gray/white)......

    • @WholesaleTed
      @WholesaleTed  12 днів тому +1

      Yes, this works. Yes, the same effect is applied to the transparent background as you have visually seen, but because the background is transparent already, it is irrelevant - there is no color to remove. Therefore, while it is applied to the entire canvas, it is only relevant to the areas that actually have color. You can try it for yourself, for free, to see that yes this works 🙏

      This video never said it was $10,248 in profit, it said $10,248 in sales. In the business world, it is standard to use revenue, not profit. I understand if you would personally choose to use profit, and I don't begrudge that, but it is not what most people in the business world use, and so I choose to discuss & use language that is industry standard as that is what most people expect 🙏

      @WholesaleTed Dear Sarah, as a business owner to an other, only the tax office is interested about how much is your revenue. People wants to see a full breakdown and how that how much end up in their pockets after a product sold. Me personally, when I source a product, I look how much clean profit I can make on it, revenue is a secondary and only important because of tax thresholds. When my friends an me talking about business, we say x revenue with y%profit after tax.
      Critics on your videos are same as reviews on your products, not personal attacks, but a considerable point.
