Is this your favourite item of clothing Daniel Craigs James Bond wears?

love Barbour. the only challenge with it is that you have to stay in the same shape for decades to be able to wear it over years.

Yeah, after 10 years of ownership, sometimes when I take it out each winter, it can act as a objective reminder to get lean and mean😅😂

My advice - buy it to fit slim and don't rewax it at all. It develops a great patina over time. And, yes, it's fashionable but not warm enough for the winter months.

Very cool. I’ve never seen the original in person. Very interested in the differences up close.

The pocket at the base of the back is for dead ducks. It’s a game jacket.Your welcome.

I like the look of Barbour jackets but I hate the double zips system that they have.

I’ve worn Barbour for over 30 years and can honestly say the older jackets I have are of a far superior quality to what you buy now. They’ve gone from the original practicability which was brilliant to a fashion accessory and the quality has suffered as a result.

That's a very interesting observation. I will look into that.

I think this is in part down to many models now being made overseas, I believe only the classics like the Bedale and Beaufort are still made in the UK, so the quality control is not as consistent with the ones not made locally (from what I have read).

I have this jacket, Dept. B in blue, I bought it in that colour as I already had another light wax jacket in Olive, although I am tempted again to buy one in Olive, although maybe in a smaller size to wear with fewer layers. Perhaps some sort of mid-life wax jacket crisis (I’m working on convincing myself of the need). Anyway, I like the blue, either the blue or my other olive go well with my kilt of abroad on six nations rugby trips, the big pockets hold a decent pair of gloves and the top pocket a small hip-flask. I have never really had any proper use of the “poachers pocket” at the back, although with small kids maybe I can keep a spare nappy and some treats to bribe them with on days out!
Like yourself I tend to wear a scarf and not use the storm flap, I also really disliked the nylon lining and early into my use found that particularly unpleasant even with a jumper, very clammy. I actually took it back to Barbour and they replaced the sleeve lining under warranty with the cotton lining to match the rest of the inside of the coat. It’s made it much more usable on warmer days, although I “sized up” per recommendations so find it typically needs even a light jumper to sit nicely on me (if I buy the olive one I will just go medium). I doubt they will do the warranty change for a sleeve after 10 years, but you could pay to get that done if that makes it more usable for you, it certainly makes it more pleasant to wear day to day. I have noticed the nylon sleeves on some other jackets (the Ashby as well) and it would put me off buying those for that reason. I saw another comment saying this is a great spring/autumn jacket, if you want a winter Barbour in a classic style, just bought a Northumbria, it’s a long classic coat in a heavier waxed cotton, I have the detachable hood as well (living in Edinburgh rain is an occupational hazard) and am really pleased with it, plenty of good big pockets and room for layering up underneath too!
Would also agree waxing every 2/3 years, it renews the look and the waterproofing, but I also sometimes like the look of a well weathered and slightly in need of tlc old wax coat, shows its been in the field, the farm or the estate like the original intention and less of been around the city!
Anyway, enjoyed the video, all the best.

What happened of James bond stamps and make a video about king k the sky fall care taker. I really love sky fall about everything but when you want to make a billion you have to kill a favourite character which people like
