Really good sausage. My aunt made some without the chili pepper. It tastes great! ❤

Looks yummy. Interesting how you keep the meet whole instead of ground. I like that idea.

Thanks for the video. This is much healthier than the prepackaged Hmong Sausage you get at the stores which are full of nitrates and MSG which are very bad long term for your health. I will just make my own now with your recipe.

Hmong sausage does not use nitrates unless it is sold as a cured or smoked sausage, which I have never seen it sold that way. If it is sold in a store in the US, then the ingredient MSG (like most ingredients) has to be listed on the ingredient label by law. MSG has many synonymous names, such as L-glutamic acid, monohydrate, or monosodium salt. I have not seen any definitive studies that shows that MSG is harmful, at least not in moderate quantities, also realize that MSG is a natural occurring chemical compound found many foods such as cheese and tomatoes. The over consumption of nitrates or nitrites can cause health problems, but then that holds true with many foods, seasoning, and spices we eat, it's matter of common sense and moderation.
