Lyrics :
Baby take off your coat
Real slow
Take off your shoes
I'll take off your shoes,girl
Take off your dress
Yes, yes, yes
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
Go over there, turn on the lights
All the lights
Come back here, stand on that chair
Baby, that's right
Raise your arms up in the air
And now shake 'em
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
You give me reason to live
Sweet darling, (you can leave your hat on)
You can leave your hat on
Baby, (you can leave your hat on)
Just leave your hat on
Sax solo :
(You can leave your hat on)
(You can leave your hat on)
Suspicious minds are talkin'
They're tryin' to tear us apart
They don't believe in this love of mine
But they don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
Aaaaa,don't know what love is
I know what love is !
There ain't no way
(You can leave your hat on)
Just leave your hat on,aaaaaa....
(You can leave your hat on)
O,do that for me girl
(You can leave your hat on)
Baby just leave your hat on
Aaaaaaaa......just leave your hat on
Who would agree with me if I say now that this is one of the greatest written and performed songs of all time in an era when music WAS music!!!
!👍👍👍👍👍👍
You said it 👍👍
We were so lucky to grow up with the music and the people who created it
Someone I know blushed when she realized what the song is about. She is an unimaginative millennial.
Amen
To all you kids out there....This is what a band is supposed to sound like.
Absolutely.
Amen
Not to mention the great background singers!
Pure pure joy to listen
Absolutely
I'm 76 and my husband is 82, I played this for him last night, good music!!!
I'm 61, my hubs is 65. I played this song to him. We danced a bit, laughed and hugged. Good times❤
Nothing like good music at ANY AGE!💓😘
Une mamie qui déchire a ouiiiii
You GO girl 🤠
Never stop!
Joe Cocker was one great singer….
Probably the greatest live saxophone solo ever
I play sax but not like that! Soulful and brassy!
I would agree. I’ve never heard a better sax solo live or recorded. That would have been an incredible performance to experience in person.

Hi Rob
All the band along with Joe are absolutely amazing!
Happy new year ❤️👍!
What a pity we are loosing all carismatic talanted singers 70s,80s RIP Joe Cocker❤
For all who new joe, personally joe is missed. Enough sayed!
My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🤘🔥❤
You made tear up I’m talking tears down my cheeks . . . They were great days 😉 I’m glad I didn’t know about the depth of corruption... I think 9/11 ... I became aware that something was wrong ...God bless you WWG1WGA 💕☺️
That's Really nice, good thoughts.
The difference between then and now is . . . “ I N T E G R I T Y “ Seems they will do ‘ anything ‘ for $$ . . . Half naked ... sell their soul ... no self respect . . . No respect for others . . . Drugs . . . SAD SO SAD . . . I’m glad my parents didn’t see this degradation of society 🥲🌎🌏🌍 LET’S FIX THIS . . .
You were lucky. My deceased husband, just showed our daughter '80's hair bands. I have turned her on to everything from Motown to now Joe Cocker and Leon Russell. She loved Tom Petty. 💞✌️❤️🌼
Моя любовь ,навсегда!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ Светлая память!!
The sax player is Deric Dyer. He is world famous as Tina Turner’s sax player. With Cocker Deric lead the band. His bio is worth the read.
NO ONE CAN DO THAT SCREAM THE WAY HE DID IT
This is one of my fav songs. When I'm depressed, I go to it. I'm 65 and love my era of music. The best ever. Joe cocker was fantastic.
One of my All time Favorite songs... Makes me Happy!
Love love this one from way back!!!! Fun fun to dance to 😀
I always leave my hat on lol Thank you Joe Cocker 😊
Yes yes !!
Us baby boomers rocked with the best music ever
So do I with 70 ..
I was in a restaurant "The Downside Risk" in Scottsdale AZ many years ago and this song came on. Two beautiful women sitting at a table with a lucky fellow got up and started dancing. It was quite sexy and I will always remember this song and that moment Thanks Joe!
Oh my Heavens. So absolutely great. I’m 84 and you can’t hear this without a little movement. My husband gone now 16 years (cancer) we were dancing now and then. This will always be The Full Monty n 12 1/2 weeks. Oh yeah. But Phil Collins is my boy. His music n his life brought me thru many a hard time. Listen to music every morning. Bad times grab you then turn on music. Like Mr Blue Sky. I’m a old gramma. Big family. Two Marine Vietnam brothers, son a Marine n a great Air Force daughter. I’m so lucky to have had people who have gone on, but know we will all join up one day. Blessings to us American Citizens! We sure as heck need it now!! But always remember who we Are and we Don’t give up🇺🇸🇺🇸Semper Fi!!
Joe... the voice, the sound, the soul. Perfection. RIP Sir.
I'm nearly 50 right now and glad to visit a open-air-concert from Joe back in the late 90's in germany. Listening to his voice live in the middle of the audience was one of the greatest adventures i ever made! One day before Joe Cocker left us all, Udo Jürgens, a famous german Singer/Songwriter/Entertainer died. Both of them were idols of mine in my youthtime, whenever the kinda music is veeery difficult. Miss them both... Rest in peace guys!
Keep it on the up and up. Sing.Sing(h). .........
Ďakujem.,že miluješ OK muziku.

Sax man somehow stole the show from Joe Cocker. Absolutely incredible performance from everyone involved!
One of the greatest Rock & Roll voices in the history of Rock & Roll. If this man dose not touch you deep in the gut. YOUR DEAD!
+Mike Horn True! But it's YOU'RE dead
+Mary T. I wish people who linger on here just waiting to pounce on, to correct, something someone said would.......... GO AWAY !
Linger? I was just trying to be helpful. Sheesh!
Mike Horn Well put!!! Awesome.
seen'em live & drank W/em 2 ...
The saxophone player was unreal, best version of this song, bless up,mon
That’s real music
Played by musicians that love the music they play
The amount of sexyness in this song is insane, just sitting here smiling and wiggling my shoulders back and forth to the groove
I ❤ song..

Oh, Yeah!!!
I'm trying to find out the name of this freaking awesome sax player, anyone know?? This video was from live in Dortmund "1992" if that helps. I tried but they give me everyone else, then try to say it's Clarence Clemmons,🤣 Uhh, I think not! 🤔
The Band and the back up singers are Fantastic!!!

Мне 73, слушая его становлюсь просто девушкой с взрывом эмоций😂
I'm 70 years old and there no music like this today. I remember seeing him in the 70s what a show.
I agree with you 💯 percent! This is when music was REAL MUSIC!! I'm 61 and I can't believe the sh*t they call music today! R.I.P JOE & LEON RUSSEL♥️🎼🌹
The longest and most epic sax solo ever.
+Philo Jewett Who is the saxophone player?
repipi56 No idea! Wish I knew. Good question. :)
+repipi56 Deric Dyer... I think
+repipi56 - Saxophone player's name is Joe Bolero.
+Janna Newman I wonder why it has Deric Dyer on Sax?
Люди,музыка нас всех обьединяет. Такие,как Джо Кокер,навсегда остаются в сердце. Спасибо,Вам СЭР.
Love this guy...the band is fantastic. The Sax player is out of this world. ❤
That saxophonist solo was beyond amazing, as a fellow player myself, one can definitely appreciate the art of music, this whole band was off the chain, you dont hear sounds like this anymore. I can't stand this popcorn sugary shyt out here... this is real music right here, you feel it inside, it makes you move even when you are sitting still... the power of music.
I was waiting for that high note! waahooo!
I'm almost 80 and can't get enough of Joe Cocker singing this song. My feet and legs are in time beating with the sax and that piano pounding . What a concert this must have been. Listening in 2022. 🎶🌟🎶
❤👏❤
Concordo plenamente!!

This will always be a very hot song.

We saw him at an outdoor concert at Lake Tahoe - it was a smaller venue - 5,000 people and it was fabulous.
Best version of song ever - RIP, hats off ...

Da!!
He said he was drunk when singing the majority of his career and the so called singers today could never come close, even dead sober
Легенда.❤
He Only got Better w/age‼️ He’s Awesome! Love this song 🎵‼️♥️👏♥️
Isn’t that the truth ❤❤❤❤
Вот это певец, вот это голос. Какая манера держатся не поет а живет на сцене. Таких музыкантов и певцов невозможно забыть. Светлая им память.

definately AGREE!
I saw him once live years ago when he opened for Tina Turner! I lost my mind when this song started.
THAT must've been a PHENOMENAL concert!
Wow !! A hard hitting double header for sure !!
one of music's most overlooked superstars
Joe and his band appeared in a concert at a casino in Henderson , Nevada. I wasn't able to get tickets, but arrived in the parking lot just before the horns introd this song. The minute it started, people in surrounding Walmart parking lots, in the casino parking lot stopped. People came out of the casino to hear it. When this magnificent song ended, the hundreds of people in the parking lots were cheering just as loud as those in the concert. To think that music can stop people to listen is a monument to such talent. I will never forget that moment.
