Ive just embraced that everything is paradoxical, and trying to put logic to it tear the mind apart. Letting it be a beautiful and horrifying paradox that you dont need to understand or rationalize is all we can really do.

This is what Jung said as well. The line between sense and nonsense is very thin. Language come later, feeling things comes first. This is the same reason why we go speechless when something devastating happens.

Absurdism in one sense states something similar. There is no objective meaning to life therefore some have subjective meaning and values (existentialism). But trying to find meaning can be a futile thing. Therefore we should stop and enjoy life as it is.
Absurdist believes life is meaningless and doesn’t angst about it, doesn’t create a meaning.

I am also 31 and more miserable than ever before too. No purpose. Lonely. It all just seems so meaningless?? I hate the rat race with every fibre of my being too and have never been able to hold a job. So i've scraped by earning crumbs doing my own thing. I've had freedom and that's hard to give up. But no amount of exercise or drugs seem to help with the existential dread, depression and anxiety that hangs around me every day.

After many years of trying to figure it out, I have been dealing nihilism lately.
It seems to be pointing me towards letting go of the ‘seeking’ and learning to accept ‘being’.
We are here, we are also likely multi dimensional.
I feel like it’s probably important to get to a state of being ok with the mystery of it all.
And a big YES to the gratitude thing, it is powerful and transformative.

My way of thinking is that because everything at a certain point will end and will be forgotten live how you want or don’t but if you don’t want to do anything you don’t have to live at all. Its pretty grim but very freeing

@@somedudethatlikestheinternet yeah I get that. I think in the ultimate sense, it doesn’t matter what you do because it’s all equivalent to a dream and your essence likely remains the same.
Having said that, from a less ultimate sense, if you believe that reincarnation and karma are real, and I think they probably are, then it would make sense to aim for goodness for your own sake and others.

I’ve been spiritual for almost 4 years now, but recently nihilistic thoughts have entered my mind. The only thing that makes sense in this world is God. And no not the one found in these religious texts, but the true creator dwelling within us all. I’ve been building my connection with the creator and I’ve had so many synchronizations which cannot be counted as coincidence. This video is one of those synchronizations, popped up at the perfect time and a lot of what was spoken did resonate. Our thoughts truly do change our reality, these nihilistic thoughts can block us from creating a higher reality. We must transcend these thoughts and instead we must build a strong mind where only pure and righteous thoughts may exist. All Is Mind. There is so much more to experience and live for, only thing is we must find that which is worth experiencing and living for. 👁️

thank you Tom, for your wise words, they really impacted me in a deep way with this video. it is so inspirational. and so heartbreaking to realize that actually more people's lives go downhill than uphill. but I guess the solution to this world wide problem would be to open my heart to love, and create more trust in myself and in the universe by being more grateful. but it is hard, some of us went through shit that it makes it very difficult to heal our hearts to learn to trust again. after some time it takes an incredible amount of bravery

My advice is this. Focus on being the best you, you can. Try and have fun in the meantime and find joy in whatever you can.
Positivity is your own outlook on things. As is the opposite so try and be the former cause it's just better to have a good outlook.
And after all that have kids, cause as far as I'm concerned that's the meaning of life.

I never believed in a god, or anything that goes behind this physical realm.
That said, I feel you can find and immense sense of purpose even on this earth; for xample in helping others to live a better life or one's artistic development.
It's not necessary to be religious to find a purpose in life.

Another helpful thought could just be that us humans aren't meant to know the meaning of life. Like our brains don't have the capacity to understand. E.g., like how dogs don't understand taxes. The dog doesn't even understand money so how could it ever understand tax. Accept ignorance, try and be humble, and follow your values.

    • @johndeaux8815
      @johndeaux8815 5 місяців тому +1

@@Dan0rioN stupidity is part of the human experience, so I can't offer much advice on that (not that you asked me for advice.) That said, boredom and the mundane can be solved by going out and meeting interesting people, and that will help with the loneliness too. And you will probably have to embrace the stupid at times to do that, I know a lot of my friendships started through awkward interactions. What have you got to lose? Time? Is it not more wasteful to spend time doing mundane things that feel good by yourself? I'm guilty of this myself, though I strive to make more meaningful connections with other people, as it is just as much a thing to do as watching UA-cam shorts, but I remember where the time went when I spend it with others, can't say the same about the days spent alone.

There is a Song in OMG2 an Indian film that say "Right and Wrong is an Illusion, so do what your duty is" I think that's the most profound thing I heard until now!
Is you understand what does it mean profoundly and integrate this notion into your life many things will change, is not easy and I still have to work on this.
We create problems where sometimes there are none is just our perception that is distorted. 🙏

Is life really a test school? If infinity is infinite, and lets say youll progress to maximum level through billion incarnations, will everything start again and we'll lose all progress and then again think why are we stuck in this infinite loop. In general think life sucks if we dont have power to do what excites us and we see that we will never gain that power in one lifetime.

Man you should dive deep in the Bible, New Age Spirituality is part of a selfish pursuit, that is fruitless for the soul. The true letting go of the Self, is when you let it go for loved ones, not for yourself.
Jesus is the final destination in this spiritual journey.

ive been kinda lost within trying to measure realness in all aspects of life, and I noticed something odd. maybe this is just me but it seams as if we are more alone than we realize. meaning, friends of 15 years for example, if I just decide to up n leave, texting them "I never want to be friends again im moving on" even for no reason, a lot of them go "word no worries man have a great life!" and not really care. meaning, it seams a lot of people consider relationships and connections to be either trivial or surface level. "oh thats just some guy I hang out with, its whatever.". not like, act arms length, but not totally connected. one of them would just either stop listening to you in the middle of a conversation because he doesn't care suddenly,, or he'd be over at my house, and he'd randomly slip out when im in the bathroom. "got bored and left". or ide be at a bday party and the dude who's bday we are celebrating leaves without saying a word, we hear later he want to a bar to hang with other people. couldn't care less to tell us. so relationships atm dont feel real. societal norms arent real, we just blindly follow customs and celebrations, ect. govt power isn't real, wtf is real? we all think its real and holds meaning but is it just all blind, surface level habvit instead of genuine being?
