- We are now off to Alderney Lighthouse on Alderney Island, still in the Channel Islands.
This was only an overnight visit for me, just to make the video recording.

Also if you are still into Lighthouses, you may wish to give this other youtuber a visit, search for Lighthouse Buffs.
That was an incredible production and the ending is just epic. Very nice!
Thank you very much. Yes, if I had time, and the fog horn was still there, I tried to get it in on the videos. Cheers and take care.
Another great tour Thank you Peter . Lovely engine room
Thank you very much. I just hope that they preserved it as is and haven't ripped it apart. Cheers and take care.
Another excellent video. lighthouses are just so fascinating.
Thank you very much, much appreciated. Cheers and stay safe.
Great video, that lense what a work of art, craftsmanship and sheer perfection. I hope it's been saved as no doubt replaced with LED.
Thank you very much. I've no idea about the lens. I too hope they look after it properly. Stay safe.
Thank you again Peter.
Thank you too.
Nice video. Awesome fog-horn.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, and yes a very nice fog horn cheers. Take care.
Great piece of film yet again Peter 👍 i saw an interesting film on youtube "well i never" unravelling the Eilean Mor Lighthouse mystery, Flannan Isles outer Hebrides by paul brodie, i dont think T.H. operated the Northen stations but an interesting story with good footage, it reminded me of Bill O'brian's story when he was stationed on the "Small's" Thank you for another great video 👌🏴👍
Thanks for that Barrie. A lot has been said about that Lighthouse Mystery, but I tend to believe that the seas took those men. Cheers and stay safe.
Once again another wonderful film Peter. I wonder what it’s like there now.
Thank you very much. I was pondering the same as I was looking at a lot of paint peeling off the tower internal walls. And that with people living inside, keeping it warm etc. Cheers and stay safe.
26:37 Thanks
You're welcome, a nice sound.
Hi Peter. Was there ever anything trained out by TH regarding escalation in the Cold War? Did keepers have a specific role?
Hi, there were some sort of secret orders in case of wars I guess, but that was above my pay grade.
Great work as always Peter. One question, if you could do it all again, would you stick on the light houses or change your profession. From the interviews, you and the other keepers are absolutely driven in your professions. Great to see.
Hi, and thank you very much. I would, in a heartbeat, be a Lighthouse Keeper again. Even more so now, in these crazy times we are in. Cheers and stay safe.
Was the commentary added more recently? I'm sure I heard you mention Airbnb, which if said in 1990 would make you a £billionaire today.
I wish, no, it was an added commentary, not rich! Cheers and stay safe.
I have serious questions about walking up these stairs 13:25 (namely, whether people would have been tempted to use their hands as well as feet)
On the top flight, most Keepers would use both. That is by not using the handrails, just the steps, as we had to polish them!. Cheers and take care.
