Hopefully that was that final push Zach needed. I feel like its way more common to hear people saying they have vegan friends.
Excellent outreach as usual Natalie. I really like the way you engage with people and help them understand the consequences of their choices. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Excellent conversations. You are doing really well with your outreach.
Glad you think so!
Tiddy Juice™ 😋 lol
I think this really got the firstguy in black sweatshirt thinking. Refreshing to see their shift to honesty as conversation went on.
Nice going Natalie!
Thank you!
11:53 I want to see that conversation lol 😆
“If you really want to make the comparison “
0:49 lol the way that guy just fully point blank describe what they're doing, just guessing it, made me laugh
Hi Natalie, just wanted to commend you on your rebuttals to common arguments. I kept thinking of how I'd reply as soon as a person would bring up a question, and you answered exactly as I would; if not, better. Your activism is getting amazing! Great work and thank you for everything you do on behalf of the animals.
Thanks so much! Practice makes perfect
Great job Natalie Fulton ❤🎉
I think bringing up the comparison with women rights was the right call at that point in the conversation! Great work ^^
Thank you!
Ban Slaughter
Loved the way you spoke and phrased things here, as well as you emphasizing the logical and rational side of veganism. You’re being a great voice for the animals!
Wow, thank you!
Oh man. Natalie I can see your frustration. You really are making a difference! Please keep up the good work
Are you even vegan? Because you're killing it.
LMAO thanks!
I admire the questioning. Getting people talking seems to be the way!
I love beans! Engaging and thought provoking as always.
So many different ways to enjoy beans! Edemame, refried pinto beans, baked beans, crispy chickpeas, etc. etc.
Username checks out.
@@someguy2135 dude, have you ever tried sato (or petai or bitter) beans? It's like someone married garlic and almonds into one delicious crunch parcel. Great in curry or salad.
@@DandelionGum1 No I haven't. Sounds amazing! Thanks for the recommendation. I am always on the lookout for new and healthful additions to my vegan compatible (mostly) whole food plant based diet.
It's so much easier for people to go vegan when they already have a lot of vegan friends or at least some acquiantances. But even if you're the only vegan you know, and you have to stand out (my situation in Russia) - it's still completely worth it.
Great activism. You are an excellent communicator
I really think Zach might become vegan or at least vegetarian due to you! You’re so inspiring!!!
I hope so!
You are such a star Natalie and I’m so glad to have come across your videos. The UK is leading the world in the adoption of a vegan lifestyle. During the last 12 months we have added 1.1 million new vegans to our vegan community.
Thank you! And yes I'm very jealous of the UK's progress - hoping we can change more hearts and minds in the US
Great outreach Natalie. You're an excellent teacher!
What I find so sad is that we have to show people on a visual level the Injustice done to the animals in a creative way because so many people just don't care about the poor innocent sentient animals that are suffering in the slaughterhouses. Going plant-based is the best way to go for the animals the planet and our health
Zach, if you’re reading this, did you watch Dominion yet?
Great outreach as always! It must be so hard listening patiently to the same excuses over and over. I have these conversations with friends and still can't get them to budge beyond defensive flexitarians 😑
Thank you! I try to remember that even when people say the same things over and over, every single person is different so outreach is always a fresh experience.
haha! i kind of had an idea like this for awhile, am NOT surprised I'm not the first. it always came to me as more of a dystopian thing, where lactose sensitivity came from humans like farming female mother breast milk, the same way we do cows, but this is much better. lol
At 25 seconds in you claimed that Human milk has more protein than cow milk. Yet cow milk and human milk differ greatly in their nutritional composition. Cow milk is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing calf, while human milk is tailored to support the growth and development of a human infant. Cow milk is higher in protein content compared to human milk, containing approximately 3.2 grams of protein per 100 milliliters, whereas human milk contains around 1.2 grams of protein per 100 milliliters.
cow milk is often fortified with vitamin D, which aids in the absorption of calcium and promotes bone health. This fortification is particularly important for individuals who have limited sun exposure or are at risk of vitamin D deficiency. Cow milk also contains other essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B12, phosphorus, and potassium.
Very good outreach Natalie.
Thank you!
Milk very much reflects the quality of nutrition from which it was drawn, coming from a vegan person I don't think it will be very nourishing. Breast milk is also a way of detoxification for the mother so there may be heavy metals and other pesticides...All this to say that you should pay attention to the source of the milk and not consume milk coming from a person with a lot of toxin stored in his body.
There are also the direct human rights abuses from animal ag such as Indigenous Amazon peoples land theft and poisoning for GMO Frankensoya animal feed & grazing both of which cause desertification, 90% of rainforest destruction!. Also there is the fact that we currently grow enough food to feed a population of 10 billion people, but 80% of world grain and legumes is used as animal feed, so world hunger is caused by animal ag!. 🌻🌎✊🏽
Great outreach! Love this.
Wow Natalie, you are amazing speaker! Very educated and briliant in asking smart question. Just discover your channel and will subscribe to learn more from you!
Thanks so much and welcome aboard!
Thank you for standing up for animals ✊✊✊✊
Great arguments and analogies with the women's right. I think the argument regarding women's rights and other injustices is a good reminder that our world was not perfect in the past
And we can still do better.🥰
Personally I find it rather pointless to argue ethics to convert people to veganism, most people just don't really care. Many people are racist, many are sexist, many feel other animals are inferior to humans and that their lives don't matter. And many more than that, people disconnect, you won't be able to get them to acknowledge that they're personally causing harm. It's also a major put off when people realize when vegan activists are deceptively luring them into a vegan discussion like this, they will just hate vegans more than before. What got me to go vegan was the health aspect. Ethics are highly subjective, but nutrition is fact. It was much easier for me to realize the ethic side of things AFTER I realized, "Oh, I don't need meat and milk to be healthy?" I had just seen it as a necessary sacrifice on the animal's part because I was raised to believe I needed animal products to be healthy. Get people to realize they'll be fine, even healthier, when they switch to a plant based diet, and things will fall into place.
And since we're on the topic of nutrition, human milk isn't much healthier for a human adult than cow milk is. Adult humans aren't meant to consume it, and it would cause the same lactose intolerance symptoms in 2/3rds of humans that have it.
8:35 “humans have always eaten animals….” This is the only thing i disagree with her on. We ABSOLUTELY don’t know that. Yes, humans have been eating animals for a long time, however, we don’t know if we’ve ALWAYS ate animals. I believe we started eating animals, as she said, out of necessity (migrations, climate change….). Otherwise vegans would drop dead left and right.
Vegan athlete, seventeen years, BIGGEST REGRET……….I didn’t do it sooner.
Aren't our ape ancestors also omnivores?
@@nehriim3748 Yeah, we evolved the means to eat both plants and animals long before humans were even a thing. Unless she wants to argue every species in the "homo genus" is human. Although most people don't really speak like that, when people say human they mean our own species only.
This is why it's vital to question the norms of society. I find it very strange that drinking breast milk from humans awaken some sort of disgust in people, almost to the point where they get triggered and angry with the idea, but milk from cows is gulped down without a thought. It's very strange and peculiar when one thinks about it outside the boundaries of societal norms.
You can program humans to do pretty much anything imo. Biological robots.
I have been drinking oat milk for a while I got thinking about the amount of oats used to make that small jar that is five dollars. I wonder if those oats could be used to feed an innocent sediment being instead of going to my greedy taste buds
@@Veganarchy-Zetetic Yeah, we are potentially both very compassionate, loving and kind, and hateful, violent and cruel.
I am educated in the field of behavioral science, so this topic interests me a lot. And the more I learn about the nature of humans the more hopeful and fearful I become at the same time.
How is drinking breast milk disgusting? It is absolutely normal for humans to drink milk. Try buying a science book. Do you think women produce almond milk in their glands?
@MindVersusMisery you dont know anything about behavioral science. Only weak humans think like you. I would never want to be around in a survival situation, because you sound like you will be annoying to be around.
I don't find it weird people rather drink cow milk over human milk. There's the proximity factor, same reason some populations stay away from pork.
And you can actually produce cow milk en masse, not very feasible with human milk.
Yours is us my favourite outreach on UA-cam
Thank you! Appreciate it
It's always funny to see how little people can truly push back against veganism.
Why would we push back against veganism, it's a choice I wouldn't want taken away from people
"I'm not here to make you feel bad" but Natalie, that's our job as animal rights activists. We have to make people feel bad, otherwise they won't change. It's okay to tell them that! They SHOULD feel bad when they're educated but won't be vegan from this point on. Love your outreach!! Best, an animal rights activist from Germany, Berlin xx Alex
Thanks! I think they ALREADY feel bad, so going out of our way to tell them that's not our goal goes a long way toward creating an open environment where they feel safe to change their minds
@@Natalie.Fulton I guess we're having different approaches! It works very well for me to be very confrontational (in a kind way), to hold people accountable (in a kind way) and also to make them feel guilty so they feel a need to change their ways immediately. Keep up the good work!! xx
@@dieradikaleveganerin As long as you're kind, that's what matters!
Natalie, you rock, sister 🌱💚
When interviewed, a surprisingly large number of people say they eat “very little meat” and get their meat and dairy from someone they know personally who sings songs to their animals and kills them with a magic rainbow.
Few intelligent people will think it through and make a change. Most people will change only when all the people around them change.
He has vegan friends!? That was schoking, I don't really see vegans anywhere, we need more
🌱💚
wow I never saw you before, your easy going conversation style, so smooth, I think he is cooked!
Great content Natalie!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
You are legendary 👏👏👏
Thank you!
I know a single mother who uses her own milk in recipes when cooking for parties she hosts. She doesn't tell the people who eat her food, because she knows none of them has ever read a label anyway and she thinks it's funny. She's not vegan, she just told her vegan friends she does this because she thought we would laugh with her. We stopped going to her house, carnists are sick.
What's wrong with drinking her milk?
I mean this sincerely , not attacking . But do vegans feel it ethical to have elective pro- choice procedures ?
Love you Natalie!
Thank you!
Live vegan, love vegan 💚💚💚
Vegan for the animals 💗💗💗💗
It always amazes me when people try to claim that plants somehow suffer like animals in their death but ignore what farm animals are fed.
To be fair, I think most people have never thought about it. On the surface, it makes sense to think that vegans use more plants because they eat more plants directly than omnivores do. I mean, of course, it instantly falls apart when you do think about it logically, but most people don't.
@@GS-lq2is you don't want to know how many people deny it even after I've explained.
Their argument is not that plants shouldn't be eaten either. Their argument is that suffering is not a valid argument. Cause everything that is alive would prefer to stay alive.
@@MustardSkaven I think you haven't seen the arguments I see daily then. It's constant that plants suffer and therefore vegans are hypocrites.
@@Human_Herbivore Lol, no I don't want to know!
I wonder, what do vegans give up for lent? Lentils? Lol jk I'm vegan
I drink approximately 8 pints of milk every 4 days on average either through cups of tea or just straight glasses of milk etc..
I would personally be miserable even attempting to live a morally pure life and although eating meat is a little bit bad, I actually enjoy doing some things because they are a little bad...
Obviously eating a cheeseburger is an amazing taste sensation but it's actually ohhhhh so much tastier knowing its a little wrong!
Like all humans I enjoy some extra cake and various other pleasures in my life and consider the imperfect, logically inconsistent nature of humans as absurd but beautiful.
There are of course various things I do in my life for morally good reasons at cost to myself it's just that being vegan is not one of them.
Best wishes to all you vegans though, it's a good thing that you are doing.
But equally best wishes to all the other flawed, imperfect and beautiful humans who are just trying to make sense of an absurd existence and do a little good despite their nature in whatever form that may be.
Good luck all and enjoy yourselves.
Booba Milk 😆
Boba tea is one thing, but chunky dairy milk would be even more disgusting! 🌱
🌱🌱🌱💗
Extreme cuss word spoiled an otherwise commendable outreach at the University of Chicago.
It’s sad in 2024 we still have to fight for someone’s rights. We are not moving towards equality, but slightly less worse.
Dominion is just about 'meat'?
Yeah you look vegan...
How is this vegan? We are animals 😂 try our cousins milk 🐒
It may not be vegan technically, but it's ethical because they choose to give it.
Go vegan
!
Amazing activism
