The thing is, garbage trucks require in most places some sort of commercial driving license. So you need to match the wages, or they will go to work dilevering sheds for Home Depot or something. Teachers don't have the option to just go do the same thing somewhere else without massive life changes. Massively effecting their bargaining power.
There's a spot near where I live, it's an open field, where Canada geese usually roost for the night. Nobody in their right mind, not even ppl from lands and forest (who handle wildlife) will go near there. Just to put in perspective, they'll handle angry bald eagles before wild Canada geese unless it's only one goose and they have a net over them.
Canadian here. Uruguay was the first country to legalize cannabis. Great little country that no one knows about. Do some research and it will surprise you in many other respects.
Birds are the only dinosaurs to have survived. They are in fact, avian dinosaurs. So yeah, geese have lots in common with velociraptors, but they're not hunting for meat, so there's that. They're just territorial, especially during mating season.
Actually whales are also from the dinosaur age also turtles and crocodiles. Also most insects like flies spiders mosquitoes worms and others are from a period millions of years before the phreostoric age. There are also millions of species of fish that were around during those times and you can't forget that a jelly fish is either still known or was thought to be the first multi organism to ever exist. Also when it comes to birds some are from that period but you also have alot of birds that share the same DNA sequence but are not actually linked though evolution for example a chicken has the closest DNA to a T-Rex but is not related at all and are not linked through evolution
Great Lakes weather is especially weird when you have a lake to the west of you. "Lake effect weather"! South Western Ontario and Western NY get hammer with snow and other crazy things.
But one could argue that the union jack was not the Canadian flag per se, it was Britain's and only imposed by the British. If you look through the designs of the flags that were considered, the majority had blue instead of fully red. It was thought to be a nod to Quebec. Ultimately that was withdrawn and the current flag was made.
Tyler you outdid yourself this time . I am one of your Canadian viewers. And yeah the way you pronounced Anglosphere was Criminal but it's okay I'm Canadian I forgive you. And we don't need no stinking blue in our flag thankyou. Where would we put it? The Maple Leaf 🇨🇦 is enough for us. Listen you can have three seasons in one day. In my particular city, let's just say Alberta quite a bit north starts with an E we always say if you don't like the weather stick around 15 minutes it'll change. Oh and by the way there is a reason why we dont try to feed Canadian geese, they wouldn't take our measly bread. If you mess with them they'll take you hostage. If you're ever in a park and they're coming at you run. I thought you had cracked me up as much as I could be cracked up when you did the Red Green word game, but this was even better. And quite frankly I do think you would like it if we all lived in igloos, eh?? There I said it. As far as the metric/ imperial system, the reason we use both is because well a lot of us really didn't want to switch to the metric system. When I was in school we learned the Imperial system. And I still remember 2 cups in a pint 2 pints in a quart. 4 quarts in a gallon. Oh yea there's 5,280 feet in a mile, and 1,760 yards in a mile. It is deeply imbedded in my brain forever. And thank God my stove has Fahrenheit measurement, and thank God a lot of the food that we get from your country still tells us to cook things at 350° F because I don't even know what that is in Celsius. You are absolutely hysterical, I watched you while I had my breakfast, and I almost spit up in my coffee. Thank you Tyler you're a gem.
😂 We very experience those types of dramatic weather changes here. It seems the closer you are to large body of water, the harsher it gets too. Anyone living by one of the Great Lakes or large rivers like the Saint-Lawrence can concur that some days you'll wake up to an inch of ice in the trees; by the afternoon you're sweating in a t-shirt and shorts; and you might get stuck in a torrential rainstorm on your way home in the evening. Winter in the morning, summer in the afternoon, spring in the evening as you're trying to adapt to going back to school in the fall😅
hey tyler just so you know the reason the Canadian Goose is timid in the USA and so mean in Canada is because they are hatched and fly down to the USA when a few months old and are there to meet a mate and fly back to Canada......... So the mean Geese in Canada are just Protecting their young
When it comes to canadian geese being mean up here, (don't qoute me on this as I'm not sure, it's mainly a guess) is that when they migrate back here, it's to mate and raise their young, and are incredibly protective of them, (they really are mean and evil, and will attack you, ive i live by a large lake in my city where there are thousandsof geese every summer, and you learn to give them space if you walk the trail around said lake), then by the time they migrate south, that protection instinct is no longer there as the young geese are at that point mostly full grown, so they're much calmer.
We had to trade the igloos for teepees, thank god the Inuit and natives get along better than ye Mericians and Europeans setting on inch or cm 🤣 Celsius is water based, 0 water freezes 100 it boils Evolution ssys dinos became birds lol And the geese got there for vacation they live here, its like when ye come for a visit we are all friendly and smiles and shaking our heads and biting out lips when you leave 😏 the geese and swans are furious up here, I thonk your reactions are awesome, finny because that are typica but you have fun with ot and catch a couple things, Keep these videos coming and we some send the Stormtroopers down after ya 😂

@@personincognito3989 That may be but (possibly due to him having the memory of a goldfish) I have seen him chuckle when hearing 'Canada's' queen.. I don't think he realizes the difference between the Commonwealth nations and realm nations..?
Celsius is pretty easy: 0°C is the freezing point of water, 100°C is the boiling point. Room temperature is about 20°C. Fun fact: in a subtle nod to metric’s superiority, imperial units are officially defined in terms of their metric counterparts.
I Think Taylor was wrong about the 60°F, we still wear shorts/tee-shirts, than change to long pants/ sweat shirt when the Temperatures go down into 50°---45°F.
The Celcius temperature system is based on the states of water. 0 Celsius is exactly when water freezes into ice, and 100 Celsius is when water boils. Those are the standards that the Celsius temperature readings are based from.
The metric system, is a system where, 0⁰C is the point of freezing, rather than 32⁰F. The metric system also uses the correct Base 3, not Base 10. This allows time, speed and measurements to align with one another, as one example.
About Canadian weather. Went to work at 5 am this morning. The temperature was at around 50f (10C). Stopped working the temperature outside was at around 75f (24C). That's just on some random day. I've seen worse.
Frantic weather happens in Halifax Nova Scotia. Last year two days before Halloween it was 20 Degrees celsius AKA 68 degrees fahrenheit and everyone was out and about in town, many in short sleeve shirts, then on November the first it was snowing.
Igloos are quite often made at ski hills for the nostalgia. They are fun to sit in and are actually really huge inside, quite often big enough to put a school field trip class in one.
@@RandysRides authentic ones are made with humongous blocks of ice. But yes, making them out of snow for fun is DEFINITELY a Canadian childhood must. (And adults too, we just make them for ourselves and say it's for the kids.... part of our Canadian politeness)

Thanks to phenomenon of chinooks in Alberta, and occasionally stretching to segments of Saskatchewan provide some extreme sudden weather/temperature changes. You learn to adapt quickly. :)
Canada was the first to legalize recreational weed at the federal level, the first country to partially legalize it is USA because of California. Also, Canada legalized medicinal weed in 2000 at the federal level.
About the King, we’re all secretly waiting for him to pass away so William can become the king but with respect and no ill wishes because he waited such looooong time to take the throne!
You're right about weather, this morning, I needed my sweater to go outside to drink my coffee, and right now in afternoon, I sweat outside. and it will be back to fresh weather after sunset. About marijuana, it was a federal law in 2018, but each province got to choose how to do it. Some provinces went for government owned stores, some provinces entirely private stores, some provinces a mix of both, so it can change depends in where province you are. Anglosphere=Québec flag have blue in it, but it's because we have more french speakers. but we're the black sheeps of Canada. Everything have to be different here.
13:53 Tyler: "I still don't know what Celsius system means or how you measure that..." Simpler than you think: Fahrenheit is based on the freezing and boiling points of sea water (0 & 100F) and actually could be considered the more relevant system if you're in a boat on the ocean, possibly even on a coastline. Celsius is based on the freezing and boiling points (0 & 100C) of fresh water (including rain). This one tends to be more relevant if you live on land, and want to know if it's going to rain on you or snow on you tomorrow.
There were several short-listed flag designs that included blue, including two blue borders to denote oceans. Not sure that any rationale was ever given for the final choice of red and (what we call white but has some other official name). Maybe that we actually have coastlines on three oceans, but putting the Arctic at top wouldn't look as good.
8:00 "I don't know if the "Anglosphere" is a real thing, Jean-Pierre, but even if it is, we Canadians would much rather go our own way and do our own thing."
I always wonder when I see/hear the Canadian goose meme: is this an eastern Canada thing? I've been around plenty of Canadian geese, but have never had any issues with them being aggressive. I've certainly encountered guard geese on a farm so I know geese are not to be trifled with, but I've never had encounters with them in the wild. Maybe in BC we have enough space that we don't invade each other's bubbles as much? 🤷
Centigrade is based on the temperatures of state changes in water. 0 degrees centigrade is the freezing point of fresh water, and 100 degrees is the boiling point. Centigrade is has greater scientific application, because another unit vital to physics is based off of it. Kelvin the unit commonly used in physics calculations is just centigrade, but with the 0 point at absolute zero rather than at the freezing point of water.
1st meme: went in to cover breakd at work. Walked up with a jacket on and had to put up an umbrella on the way. Leaving, pulled out my sunglasses and was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt I was home and back in less than 3 hours

Because Canada stayed loyal to the Crown, the King made the colours of Canada red and white like the English flag. We are the only ones who were given permission to have these colours. The new King will be on our money starting in 2025. It takes a bit to make templates and stamp negatives. Some fully support our Monarchy, some hate them, but most are indifferent sadly.
I really hope you read this, but it's gonna be a little long. A big difference between the american and canadian constitutions is in the US both the federal government and the states have criminal law making power, but in Canada only the federal government has that power. In Canada, it would not be possible for the provinces to decriminalize marijuana. However, the provinces have power over the administration of justice, i.e. the courts and policing. So they could decline to enforce the laws if they chose. That was what it was like in Vancouver well before it was actually decriminalized. It's it's kinda what it's like with magic mushrooms now. In the US, there's not really anyplace where marijuana is truly legal, because even though many states have decriminalized it, it is still a federal crime. So in a legal state, you can still be busted by the DEA.
The easiest way to convert Celsius to Farenheit is follows. C to F = temperature x2 plus 30 degrees example 20 c = 20 x 2 = 40 + 30 degrees = 70 degrees F F to C temperature less 30 divided by 2 example 80 degrees F divided by 2 80 - 30 = 50 / 2 = 25 C
12:05 (Garbageman vs Teacher pay) Some quick googling says the average schoolteacher's salary is significantly higher than the average garbage collector, (by about $20k/y) however teacher salaries vary much more widely. It's very plausible that there are states or counties where the garbagemen make more than the badly underpaid teachers.

I distinctly remember being at my grandma's house, where there was a pond, and being told "don't go near the geese, or else they will attack you"
3 Seasons In One Day? We have that right here in Ohio. Our slogan is: If you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes….
You know, I haven't even seen a $20 bill with the king on it now that I think about it? Hmm... Though I don't use cash much anymore.

We don't have blue in our flag because of Quebec... lol.
They took all of the blue. 😄
We have it first. ;)

I've never been attacked or seen anyone attacked by a Canadian geese and I grew up my whole life in Canada
Great Lakes weather is especially weird when you have a lake to the west of you. "Lake effect weather"! South Western Ontario and Western NY get hammer with snow and other crazy things.
to be fair the 'Union Jack' (canadas first flag when we were under british/french rule) was blue
Also, while you are right about the blue for the first Canadian flag.
yup in the spring or fall especially the weather likes to flip depending on the time of day
Tyler you outdid yourself this time .
3 seasons in one day: Yesterday I had jeans and a fleece in the morning by mid afternoon I was sweating bullets.
Lol the 'goosebumps' one really tickled my pickle
hey tyler just so you know the reason the Canadian Goose is timid in the USA and so mean in Canada is because they are hatched and fly down to the USA when a few months old and are there to meet a mate and fly back to Canada......... So the mean Geese in Canada are just Protecting their young
Americain would freak ou if they saw the weed store on native reserve 😂
When it comes to canadian geese being mean up here, (don't qoute me on this as I'm not sure, it's mainly a guess) is that when they migrate back here, it's to mate and raise their young, and are incredibly protective of them, (they really are mean and evil, and will attack you, ive i live by a large lake in my city where there are thousandsof geese every summer, and you learn to give them space if you walk the trail around said lake), then by the time they migrate south, that protection instinct is no longer there as the young geese are at that point mostly full grown, so they're much calmer.
I once got trapped in a Shopper's Drug Mart for 20 minutes with several other people because two Canadian geese were right outside the exit
We had to trade the igloos for teepees, thank god the Inuit and natives get along better than ye Mericians and Europeans setting on inch or cm 🤣
Celsius is water based, 0 water freezes 100 it boils

And the geese got there for vacation they live here, its like when ye come for a visit we are all friendly and smiles and shaking our heads and biting out lips when you leave 😏 the geese and swans are furious up here,

To easily convert from Celcius to Farenhight - double it & add 32
That Goosebumps one should have just been referring to the bumps you get on your arm, some call it goose pimples, but goosebumps works too.
Haha. It’s about 16
Just subtract 32 from your temp then divide vide by two. It’s close anyway.
I’ve found 31 to be more accurate. 😊
Instead of making work for yourself & wasting time by converting... why not just learn that +30 is bloody hot and -30 is bloody cold. As an added bonus just remember 0 is where the rain gets lumpy.
Canadians loved the Queen, Charles is just a passing fancy, we’re just waiting for when William takes the throne lol

@@andynieuwenhuis7833It depends really, 60 is cold in the fall but warm in the spring.
@@andynieuwenhuis7833 Those numbers mean nothing to me! 🙂
The Celcius temperature system is based on the states of water. 0 Celsius is exactly when water freezes into ice, and 100 Celsius is when water boils. Those are the standards that the Celsius temperature readings are based from.
Goosebumps was filed mostly in Ontario Canada by the way lol

Good luck finding any Canadian who has ever seen a real igloo. I've never met either one of them
Igloos are quite often made at ski hills for the nostalgia. They are fun to sit in and are actually really huge inside, quite often big enough to put a school field trip class in one.
C'mon. Every kid I grew up with has made them for fun. I've personally made over 50.
@@RandysRides authentic ones are made with humongous blocks of ice. But yes, making them out of snow for fun is DEFINITELY a Canadian childhood must. (And adults too, we just make them for ourselves and say it's for the kids.... part of our Canadian politeness)

Canada was the first to legalize recreational weed at the federal level, the first country to partially legalize it is USA because of California. Also, Canada legalized medicinal weed in 2000 at the federal level.

13:53 Tyler: "I still don't know what Celsius system means or how you measure that..." Simpler than you think:
Fahrenheit is based on the freezing and boiling points of sea water (0 & 100F) and actually could be considered the more relevant system if you're in a boat on the ocean, possibly even on a coastline.
Terry Fox should be on our $5 bill
8:00 "I don't know if the "Anglosphere" is a real thing, Jean-Pierre, but even if it is, we Canadians would much rather go our own way and do our own thing."
I always wonder when I see/hear the Canadian goose meme: is this an eastern Canada thing? I've been around plenty of Canadian geese, but have never had any issues with them being aggressive. I've certainly encountered guard geese on a farm so I know geese are not to be trifled with, but I've never had encounters with them in the wild. Maybe in BC we have enough space that we don't invade each other's bubbles as much? 🤷
I’m on Vancouver Island and Canada geese are extremely aggressive during nesting season . I’m surprised that you’ve never experienced this ..🙂
Centigrade is based on the temperatures of state changes in water.
Celsius makes perfect sense. Its base on water. Water freezes at 0°c and boils at 100°c.
The Canada Goose actually is native to the arctic and regions of North America and during migration found across the Atlantic in northern Europe 😊
1st meme: went in to cover breakd at work. Walked up with a jacket on and had to put up an umbrella on the way. Leaving, pulled out my sunglasses and was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt

Because Canada stayed loyal to the Crown, the King made the colours of Canada red and white like the English flag. We are the only ones who were given permission to have these colours.

C to F = temperature x2 plus 30 degrees example 20 c = 20 x 2 = 40 + 30 degrees = 70 degrees F
F to C temperature less 30 divided by 2 example 80 degrees F divided by 2 80 - 30 = 50 / 2 = 25 C
