As good as Mainoo is , he is still very young and experienced. He can start playing in an international friendly match and develop.

No it isn’t. Rashford is a profile of player that England need. Pace is a huge asset. And he’s the best natural left winger they have, and he can also cover 9. Rashford’s ability to make diagonal runs, with the creative players England have, is arguably why Rashford should start for England, nevermind be in the squad.

Out of position regularly, Liverpool were left miles half the pitch open in midfield. Ball watching for the first goal left him dizzy. Second goal Salah had acres of space because of his lazy tracking back. Couldn’t smell the danger at all he was strolling back with Salah unmarked outside the 6 yard box. He’s got potential but he’s nothing more than potential currently
@bg7393 bro you are crazy mainoo is only behind rice and Bellingham in terms of quality with the potential to be as good as both he has carried utd midfield since he got into the team it's not his fault that utd leave 50 yard gaps between the attack and defence he is the only player at urd with any sort of calmness and control he literally looked levels above any midfielder on the pitch against liverpool the only mistake I can think he made was getting caught against West ham but apart from that he has been unbelievable he had the while liverpool midfield on ropes when utd were in control they couldn't even touch him 😂

Both should be in there. A few poor performances doesn't mean Trippier's not worthy of his place anymore as he's been playing his best football the last four years of his club career. Dross like Mitchell, Guehi, Colwill and the ocean liner Dunk are the ones that people should be questioning defensively for being picked instead of White not Trippier.

If Bowen is left out of the final squad and Henderson isn't then I'll be supporting all of our opponents. I'm not a West Ham fan but Bowen has been simply outstanding for them since he joined.

Not a Liverpool or Henderson fan but can 100% see the merit in taking him to the euro's as a bitt part player and fantastic to have for moral and the dressing room. Mainoo at this point with the players England have in his position at the moment would be a punt and not utilised although he's definitely one for the future.
Henderson, Rashford and Phillips should NOT be considered. But knowing Southgate he will take all three.

He’s had four or more serious injuries that have limited his development.
Does a good job for Liverpool at full back but don’t think he’s good enough to get in ahead of any other full backs.

Ex Prem football V someone who hasn't played any sport at any level. Henderson is much needed experience, and there's not many players in that team that have winning mentality. Hendo celebrating running down the length of the pitch to win a throw shows his workrate, passion and commitment to the team which will galvanise the team and supporters isn't that obvious.
Hendo is only running like that cuz he knows there's 100 days to go... and he's gotta show everything. He's in Holland coming off the bench in the 88th minute. 100% that pointless mad sprint is for Gareth 🤣

Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones deserve to be in the England squad before Mainoo, the kid has only had a few good games.
As for Hendo, I wouldn't take him. I've defended Hendo from people's insults many times over the years as a Liverpool supporter but England have too many other good midfield options right now who ultimately offer more than Hendo does. If it was a choice between Hendo or Mainoo, I'd choose Hendo. But if I can take whoever I want, I wouldn't include either of them.

Why is Trippier always slaughtered whenever he gets picked for England? Been consistent in multiple positions for England for the near seven years he's been in there and has played the best football of his club career these past 5 seasons. Some poor performances this season doesn't change that but a lot of Newcastle players have dropped off this season. He pocketed Mbappe in both games against PSG but no one brings that up or his other top performances at times this season. He's been nowhere near as bad as people have made out this season though. Him, Walker, trent and Ben White would all be in the squad for me.

23 players get picked for England and 3-4 of those players know they won't get a single minute on the pitch, I would much rather those spots go to players that can provide value to the squad outside of just what they do on the pitch instead of a youngster that's there because of a good half season, that's the only reason I think Henderson should go.
Henderson has won the lot for club and been to a Euro's final and World cup semi's, if you think Mainoo who will also not get a minute adds more value to the squad than him then idk for you.

He won’t be fit. Just had an operation. He might just about come back for last few games but he won’t be ready. He knew his decision to have the operation would be the end of his season and the euros. We Chelsea fans hope he comes back and doesn’t have the same injury problem now it’s been operated on. But if I’m honest , I think he’s injury prone and will most likely be in and out of serious injury his whole career and won’t fulfill his potential because of it. Shame really.

In reality would Dunk be a weak link? He’s not too slow and his great in the air so could compliment stones brilliantly. Also good on the ball and a set piece threat. Still not sure if he’d be the right pick here.
Trent in midfield alongside Rice could be amazing or could be one of those things that looks better on paper than in reality.
Hate seeing Foden out on the left but can’t justify moving Saka or Bellingham and Bellingham during periods of pressure could drop deeper into midfield with Foden coming inside a bit more and chillwell or Shaw (if fit) providing width on left.
Salah would be great for England but last time I checked, he was Egyptian.
