This is the most beautiful song you have ever written. I miss you more than you can ever imagine.
Speaking as someone who keeps his playlist on shuffle to avoid repetition there are a handful of songs that I can play over and over again. Robyn Hitchcock has a few that qualify.
This song helped me through some rough times. Thanks Robyn.
Amazing band saw them live in Pittsburgh classic show
for real. There were such nice guys on top of great musicians!
This song's spellbinding lyric and melody still haunt me and remind me how perfectly they were suited for a moment in my life.
my fav song ever. Can't imagina what it means to me
Such a beautiful song
This live version is perfect. One of my fav RH songs & w/ the Venus 3- this song is absolutely crushingly beautiful. Was lucky to hear them play this at Variety Playhouse on the Goodnight Oslo Tour.
yes agreed. this song is so beautiful. it was a truly pleasure to record this.
sunflowereye Robyn did a bang up version of this song as well as Glass Hotel with Emma Swift at the ATL City Winery this week.
^Bob- just saw this post & was unaware that he was playing in ATL that evening, which by chance I was in town hearing an old-skool dj/producer I love - Nick Warren from UK, at another club. Wish I had known, because Nick went on at midnight & I might have been able to pull off both shows had I known about RH. That set list looks great. Sad that I missed him nearby as I'm in Athens. :[
yeah, what a beautiful and haunting tune. just great!
Awesome!!!!!
I've never said this.....but really? 7 people took the time to dislike this? I'm all for freedom of expression, but I'm also against pure stupidity and just lack of taste.
it is truly baffling.
I mean, there's no samples and no one calling anyone else a "bitch"-how can it be a good song?
I gotta say Peter Buck has really had a big influence on Robyn's sound for the last 20 years. (Please come to New Hampshire someday!) but why does Peter have a microphone when he doesn't sing? Minor quibble.
didnt REM cover this?......(hello from 5 years in the past ......which also doesnt exist :- o)
I think Hitchcock is the one who influenced Buck......
Stipe sang backup on it. I haven't heard an REM version.
I bet you were as surprised as the rest of us when Peter was the first member of R.E.M. to put out a post-breakup solo album!
Indianapolis?
I do a cover of this
excellent track
He doesn't exist anymore. Syn d Cody
I always picture robyn slaughtering a chicken outside some pretty lasses house lol
