Freyja is Njord's daughter via his unnamed sister who was his first wife, not his sister! you even say so in the start of the video, only leaving out the optional "j"!
So I kind of feel bad for Surtr because he ended up caring for someone but couldn't express his feelings the way he wanted, he could only show them the way he was made of and lived for with wraith and malice towards everyone and everything.

Ah, the Lostbelt that made me realize we’re not the heroes despite what we fight for. Skadi was right: that we fight with the lives of billions of humans and countless numbers of organisms while she might be fighting for 10,000 (I think that’s what she said).
It’s like in Fate Zero yes killing 10,000 is better than letting countless billions of organisms perish when this Lostbelt was never supposed to happen...but knowing we’ve snuffed the life out of so many (including Gerda who was freakin adorable) felt like a gut punch...it feels like we’re truly becoming magus.
Someone's made a series of short-comics about Gerda somehow being summoned to Chaldea, and all the adorable shenanigans she gets up to.
I love this Lostbelt, but I wasn't too attached to Gerda as much I was to Patxi mainly due to the amount we spend with her. Hell, I was bummed when Ophelia died. The amount of shit she went throughout her life only to die tragically. Napoleon realized what she's been going through, and tries to help her in his own "special" way.
Don't forget Surtr also cared for her in his own way.
From now on, im only calling Napoleon's canon "Big Gay Excalibur" no matter what

Ophelia reminds me a little to Fran. Both were caring and warm even with their lack of love provided by their fathers, they both don't consider theirself worthy of love but still helps everyone almost if they didn't want to others to feel the loneliness they felt.
Ritsuka looked out in the shadow border. Another world burnt. Another world of good people murdered by his hand.
"You hold doubt,my acomplice."
Turning around,the count eyed ritsuka inquisitively.
"Well do you blame me? I...i didnt want to burn the norse lostbelt and all the others,they never deserved this!"
The count nodded.
"You fear you are becoming like them. Ruthless. Unfeeling. Inhuman."
"...i want to be a good person. I might be a mage but i would rather be a good person then be as heartless and self centered as most of them,even if a few good ones exist. I cant see the good like other servants can."
"Then dont." The count said.
"You may have to burn worlds,that i won't deny. But you are sparing untold countless more,part of it or otherwise from being targets by the alien god. You are giving untold millions if not trillions and more salvation as you do this. It is not something to brush off. And as always fujimaru. You are my acomplice. And i will walk into hell itself to bring down those in our way. And nothing will stop that. Till the end?"
Ritsuka nodded.
"Till the end."

Oh man, imagine if Ophelia wasn’t screwed over. Head canon tells me that in Chaldea she would have the friendship she really wanted in Ritsuka. They would still treat her as their Senpai, but I feel Ophelia really missed out in more than one ways.
You mean Mashu? Ophelia don't even remember guda's name.

God the ending of this lostbelt absolutely destroyed me,Gerdas end crushed my soul.
As a jp player, I appreciate how Dai takes the time to recap Grand Order for us.
Curiosity: Skadi married Njord because of his good pedicure.
In one of the myths, Loki is responsible for the death of Skadi's father, and because he was responsible for her care, she demanded Loki to take his position. Effectively, marriage. The rest of the gods agreed with her, but Loki convinced everyone for a competition: she would choose her mate by the beauty of their feet.
As one can imagine, a bunch of gods, which only knew how to fornicate, kill, drink and eat, had really bad feet, including Loki.
All but one. Njord was the god of the seas and sailing, so he would spend way too much time on his ship, with his feet being bathed by the salt waters. That made his feet the most beautiful ones amongst the gods and so she chose him.
Mythology is not that pretty, but can be funny. And remember kids: Loki is a d1ck.
I seem to recall she originally wanted to marry Balder?
Yup. I believe I go into that in her individual lore.

Honestly, the way you described the battle between Brynhildr and Sigurd up until the end of the video felt heart-touching if anything.
Well, I love it when the series takes time to tackle personal issues related to the servants themselves. The chapter quite literally destroys the curse of the doomed lovers with Sigurd accepting her love no matter how she expresses it. You can’t be more hardcore than accepting a lance to the chest in the name of love.
At least in Brynhildr’s swimsuit version, she and Sigurd are together cutting their “wedding cake”.😂😂😂
Now if only Rama can emulate that to crush that pesky Curse of Separation.
Between skadi, Valkyries and Ophelia this lostbelt had so many great waifus, atleast for me.

i wish for Ophelia and Mashu have a one last Tea Party together. Ophelia ending was really sad.

Skadi is the best at Stage 1's appearance, change my mind.
It's a tough choice between 1st and 2nd for me, but I went with 2nd since it's a perfect mix between Skadi and Scathach
I love that purple dress and the stockings.
In fact most of my favorite Servants are kept in their first appearance, like Ereshkigal.
Muramasa stage one is personally my favorite stage one
That Scathach based 2nd ascension is pretty fly, not gonna lie.
I think lb2 already develop Ophelia so much, her death feel like a lost instead of just you finally defeat a villain. Ophelia character in lostbelt 2 is about breaking the ice and make a decision. Ophelia's life is always following people, wether is from her parents or wodime. Her character reflect a teenager that don't have her own will because of an abusive parent unlike kadoc who reflect how toxic inferiority complex in teenager can be in lb1 or Akuta who is suffering from craving for husband love(if any crypter who have the least development in the story, hinako is on my spot list). At the end of the lb2 Ophelia finally make her own decision by sacrifice herself also befriend with mashu something she can't done in the old chaldea even though it is at the end of her life.

Sigurd's introduction is so freaking good. It paints him as menacing, relentless and a brute enemy that stops at nothing. And he'a voiced by Kaiba's VA so that's another plus.

Every time I watch these lore videos, I become more and more fascinated with history, mythology, and Fate Grand Order as a whole! I would LOVE to see how that fight between Surtr and Fenrir went down!!!
Tbh, I really wished Ophelia would join us, help us out to defeat the other Crypters but deep down she wouldn't do it because she is very loyal to Kirschtaria and probably prefer to be dead than join us.
I did also feel bad for her for what her parents done to her.
I even ship her with Napoleon, and with Ritsuka (the mc and us the player) 🙃 and she is even my waifu.
Even if Ophelia did join us, I felt like she could've had a better but sad ending in LB5. Which I'll leave to your imagination.
Plus, Rasputin wouldn't stop until he has captured Ophelia and taken Ophelia to Kirschtaria.
Last, I did cry a little when LB2 was coming to an end and Gerda did her little hop. And Sigurd & Skadi didn't come home to my Chaldea.
Case anyone forget this Kirei is now full Kirei, the heroic spirit in him gave Kirei full control of the body now.

Conditionally, as in if I ever was in the Fate universe, If I ever saw Kirei (that wasn't a Cosplay) I would make sure there was a Weapon if some kind always at the ready to kill that Mapo tofu MoFo. Like a Gun, or Mordred, or a Rocket launcher or a-

I just started this lostbelt and have been REALLY looking forward to this one as I've always been interested in Norse mythology. thanks for dumbing these stories down for nasu amateurs like myself.
Our journey in the lostbelt would have truly ended the moment surtr swung gram at us, thank God sigurd saved us at the nick of time.

In the comments of the previous Lostbelt videos (the Prologue) I said that this Lostbelt and the 3rd (Chinese) hit me pretty hard.
Two of the biggest reasons for this Lostbelt, being Gerda and Opehlia.
Gerda is the bigger reason, because I got attached and when she disappeared with her home, like a candle being blown out. All that time, everything we've done to save her and everyone else; turned to little more than memories and scars. It's stuff like this, that makes me wish there was some way to save the innocent souls of the Lostbelts from being consigned to oblivion.
and the latter, Ophelia. It was far from easy to not pity her, because of her family. Then after we come, tearing through and up the Lostbelt, like a category 5 hurricane; she basically commits suicide to fix something she kept quiet about, and after it got to a point worse than our being there. Worst part, easily, was when she died in front of her best friend and our beloved Kouhai, Mash.
I pulled Napoleon (while trying to pull Arjuna Alter who took the rest of my quartz to get) the day before I got to the part of the Lostbelt where Ophelia asked me to thank him.
It was the spookiest spook.
I would like to Thank Dai wholeheartedly for getting me into fgo. I'm going through an anime burnout and fgo is my solace. P.S. I'm on the last Gawain fight and I don't have an Eurayle support wish me luck T_T.
Edit:- I've beaten Gawain required one command spell otherwise we Gucci. Also thanks to Gear for the Eurayle support I'll be grinding my bedivere so I can get him to Ascension 3 or 4 and then go fight lartoria.
P.S. idk how but I've pulled bedivere 4 times , once in the Moriarty banner and 3 times in the class specific banner

Loved the Scandinavian Lostbelt arc, just wish they went with a setting in Asgard so we would’ve seen more Servants from Norse mythology.

We are down 2 Lostbelts now and on the way to the 3rd Lostbelt and it's Crypter Akuta Hinako/Yu Mei-ren. Surtr breaking out of the false sun? I could almost hear him say: "I'm free it's time to finally destroy the world!"

I liked this lostbelt, especially since it gave us Sigurd and allowed him and Brynhildr to be happy together, even for just a moment. And Gerda was quite cute. Excellent job. Anyways Thank you for the video, this Lostbelt (Gotterdammerung) is memorable to because I just blitz through it as there is this event where finishing is a requirement.
Ophelia’s death really could have been prevented had Kirschtaria been more proactive. He placed all his bets on the poor girl, who he should have known was already under a lot of pressure, and struck out.
And I thought the Russia Lostbelt's situation was grim. At least the Yaga could have a life expectancy past 25 years and were comparatively more free to live their lives, harsh as it was. Scandinavia looks like a pretty winter wonderland but is basically an obliterated world, put on life support by a god who means well but lacks the power to do anything but maintain the status quo of regularly feeding kids to giants.
Cast of characters was pretty good this time around. Sigurd just exudes cool, Bryn could have been annoying with the "kill my beloved" schtick but fortunately wasn't, and Ophelia was just tragic. Ended up liking Napoleon quite a bit as well; with all the crap our heroes have been going through, it's nice to have that kind of chad with infinite confidence and hope around for a little while to keep our spirits up (and it was amusing to see him act like a French Johnny Bravo, with his many attempts to woo women almost never working).
You need to know the story behind Brynhild and Sigurd to feel the strong emotion when they fight side by side. The doomed lovers~

Ah Lostbelt 2, well the story seems nice. Ophelia's arc is a bit stingy nonetheless, especially with Sutr's own characterization, Napoleon sure shone here. I'm smiling for Brynn and Sigurd, atleast those two are together(Rama will have his time).

You do have to feel bad for Ophelia. Kadoc might have gotten a Lostbelt King who wants nothing to do with the AG but Ophelia got a Lostbelt that was a ticking time bomb.

A much different scenario than the first. Not a good one for humanity, hence the pruning, but it seems stable, and the melee a trois set up sounds fun.
Honestly aside Napoleon who was mvp and sitonai who is mvp in general like in hf I felt Nothing for anyone else in the cast especially Gerda.
This story to compare is basically a post story after a disaster like if we went to the Greek lostbelt after all the battles were done and wodime was left.
Character wise I can understand why Ophelia is not as cool as yu paisen and Gerda basically did nothing in the story compared to paxti and BOI
King wise same thing skadi is so easy to trick not as much as Ivan who was litteraly asleep but QSH is the current best king for not just taking everything at face value.
Valkyrie were not good period aside ortalinde who had a little character
Overall it was one of the more boring stories and rather more interesting to hear about wodime from Ophelia than Ophelia herself and still funny how the female crypters die while the male ones live longer and have better character development.
Overall not as good as people pretend it is.
Felt like the cast shouldn't have destroyed this one just went through it like the moment they took our paper moon drive Ophelia could have destroyed that and won but nope that recieved plot armor it was stupid
@@tonyinfinite5174 it's honestly not a good story after lb 1 where we get so much story progression and character out of kadoc and Anastasia compared to Ophelia and "sigurd" and honestly Bryn is annoying as she goes from silent cool girl to animal in heat when sigurd returns.
It can be done well but bryn didn't do it well and wasted thier opportunity in story.
Overall just not worth a reread.

@@tonyinfinite5174 honestly I felt more for the wolves in lb 1 than the puppet's in lb 2 that skadi made as she broke humanity. Lb 3 BOI and his crew were similar but they were more alive and happy as a result and were smarter as well.
Overall if not for Napoleon sitonai and hercules I would have never cared for this story as Ophelia wasn't that deep either. Lb 3 did this story much better especially with paisen attacking us every time

If Surtr is connected to Ophelia via her Mystic Eye…do you think, if Shiki performed a repeat of her final strikes against Fujino and Mitsuru Kamekura, do you believe she could kill Ophelia’s Mystic Eye without harming her and save her from her demise?

If there’s any possibility of decreasing the amount of blood spilled with each world destroyed, I would of course pursue it fervently…and now I’m starting to feel like KIRITSUGU. That’s a WONDERFUL sign. With what’s been shown of the Sixth Lostbelt, do you have a favorite among them. There are a multitude of relatable figures within the latest chapter that are already stealing my heart.
I kinda recently started the lostbelts, even fast forwaring certain parts I completely understood the Russian, but this one got me lost the moment Dantes and Sitonai appear out of nowhere, do you have a video explaining mainly what the Count of Monte Cristo has to do with the story? iirc it was explained in an event
It was from an event. Dantes has a weird ability to escape any prison, which includes the boundaries of lostbelts and such. He likes to sneak around more than any other servant.
Based on the thumbnail, Bryn would be a good mother. A shame Odin cursed her. Sigurd and Bryan’s kids would be playing ancient card games on horses.

I don't even play the game, I love these videos and they are making me want to, I just hope starting this late will make my experience worst or have to spend a lot to catch up.
It's honestly really hard to start this late. Events are the easiest way to get materials, exp, and everything else needed to progress, but now that we're so far in, many of those events are story locked.

Just giving you some tips: Some events are lock and need requirements to get you crossed over. This thing are often story-locked so you need to finish the Main Story at first to get through this events. But thankfully for you that Final Honnoji only need you to clear Fuyuki which is the game starting point. Finish that first then you get through this event.
Mind if i ask when is the next servant lore, the lores and lessons of magecraft are my most favorite of your videos

@@tenshuren. It definitely could be. The Waver we see in FGO, for instance, is the one from the FSN timeline. It's uncertain what Waver was up to on FGO's timeline.

That is explained in the video itself. She is not called Scáthach-Skadi just for fan service (though that is likely part of the reason). The reason she survived Surtr was because Odin mixed her essence with Scáthach, so Surtr could not detect her. Or rather Surtr confused her for a Heroic Spirit, not a goddess so he overlooked her and kept killing other gods. Basically she survived by hiding.
@@lenleon3699 honestly it feels like they just didn't want to make any of Norse gods and I am 100% certain that even if we get any of the Norse gods they will probably not have an original sprite they will just be the Celtic hero's (cu,Fergus..etc)infused with them because unfortunately the developers don't give the same treatment to the other cultures as they give to Japanese, Chinese and Greek stuff.
@@abdullahdar5688 In terms of summonable servants they always have to downgrade them or have them be pseudo servants because of the lore excuse they already wrote in. Skadi is a unique case in itself (since Surtr has a model) but that was likely them wanting an excuse to create a new “version” of a fan-favorite character. Even if Skadi acts nothing like her nor even acknowledges her.
