What a great scene! I sure hope they both live happily together and nothing sad happened!
Just another movie that was wonderful until the end. They’re so edgy with the anti happy ending
Of course they did, such pure love can never end.
@@ThePwig just because you dont have the mental strength to take it doesnt mean it was a bad ending
@@Wtahc such an edgy teen thing to say
@@raptorrsr5817 the edgy teen way is definitely to trash anything deep and emotional
I love her expressions so much in this scene.
No doubt! I find myself replaying the scene just to see her face. Mesmerizing.
It earned her an Oscar!
Emma Stone being Emma Stone tbh. she was doing the exact same shit in Easy A years before
ME TOO!
The writer doesn't get enough credit about how hilarious he is. He wore a suit to a pool party, incredible.
He was perfect. He must be that guy.
It's just a sport coat, not a suit. Actually, not knowing the difference is even more hilarious. Makes one think you've never owned either.
Guess those cargo shorts, ball cap and flip-flops suit your lifestyle just fine!
@@kendallevans4079 my man, don't defend the guy who was clearly written to be a douchebag
especially since the outfit (red coat, tan trousers) is VERY similar to the one from the official flock of seaguls video
@@campandcook3118 You don't follow conversations very well do you?
“and i could see how you could then look down on me from all the way up there” greatest line ever
That cracked me up too among so many more!
The chemistry is so big in every movie they play together in..
Fun fact: they are both are scorpios ♏️
Do they play together in more than this movie?
@@TheRealCoryKentcrazy stupid love and gangster squad
1:38 I LOVE Ryan‘s headturn and double check, that alone proves his comedic genius.
Oh yes, the headturn and double check is a big stretch for actors ... oscar worthy ...
@@47imagine😂😂😂
It´s so funny, and he does this in The Nice Guys too
@@47imaginelmao...........ouch
"genius"?? What that say about those dumb shits like Einstein and Tesla, Beethoven and Bach? Guess they should have studied acting.
That was the most non-violent, positive trolling I've ever seen. 😄
Those two have excellent chemistry.
They were also great in Crazy, Stupid Love
Also Gangster Squad in 2013. La La Land was their 3rd film together so that helped.
"Piano man tickle those ivories!"
-He does barely anything while the whole rest of the band is killing it.
It's also interesting kind of because the synt, which obv is played like a piano, was so important to 80s music that the band relies on him for the whole sound but to him hes just playing extremely basic chords. There are many things like that in this film.
@@mellifont96 that song in particular is like one key at a time
How could you not fall in love with Ms Stone after this? 😍
Emma is hilarious. First thing I think i saw her in was Easy A, and this scene has the same sort of energy.
How? You could already be in love with her before this ever happened.
I could watch this scene one 100 time...i like the singer's voice
I'm obsessed with acting
His voice is like nails on the chalkboard
I love how he is still singing in the background even when his body comes over to tell Ryan Gosling to get back on stage. That's an extra level of talent right there.
@@krashd Nah the song you hear in the background is the original
ua-cam.com/video/XZVpR3Pk-r8/v-deo.html
Gosling's so good at that double take
Emma expressions is a champ !! 😂
That 80's cover guy lead singer was pretty good.
*I want to hire them for my son's Bar Mitzhvah!*
I think that's D.A. Wallach, if so he's super talented, he was just being over the top for the scene lol
OTT
Everything about this scene. Even "Alright piano man, tickle those ivories." It's just genius. 4 minutes of perfect.
This is the one of most perfect movie scenes ever. Gosslings and Stones back and forth is classic,
My favorite scene of all Emma Stones movies... the dance, with the smile and nod at the end is when I fell in love!
Three huge songs in the space of 120 seconds, ..... how brilliant.
And the best of all is that they are British. Except Tainted Love which is American.
I like when he played his piano guitar at Emma Stone at this swanky mojo dojo casa house party.
That's KEYTAR, you whippersnapper!
"piano guitar" lol.must weigh a ton
So many great scenes in this movie & this one’s right at the top, Emma, you nailed it
Her smile is dangerous!
So fukkkinnnnn reallllllllll 😭😭😭😭😭😭
omg she is always the perfect actor...
I recently watched La La Land, and I thought Emma did a great job acting, well then I found out that she won the Oscar for that job, good job Emma, keep it us and I'm sure you'll win another Oscar!
well she did 🎉
What a great scene full of lovely actors...
This was the moment I fell in love with both of them! She is freaking hilarious in this scene.
The other person who could make those faces is my own little actress in L.A.
I love how everyone plays their role in this movie. Not only the protagonists, who do an excellent job. But the performance of every character is flawless. When Mia is introduced to Carlo, you can see how Taylor looks away out of boredom or uneasyness, as he only speaks of himself, and when Mia is about to grab a drink she looks at her and mutters a silent ''help'.
She is so great. I mean, they both are. But she is so great.
I ran is always a fantastic suggestion -- AFOS is life!
"I guess I'll see you in the movies" 🤣🤣🤣
He DOESNT tell me what to do.. He JUST told you what to do” 😂🤣😂
Damien Chazelle's writing paired with these two is perfection. Just in this one scene, which I've seen so many times, is endlessly entertaining.
I don´t like musical movies, but this are an exception. That´s a greatest romantic comedy, the humor embeded are greate. In this scene there are a critical for "new wave" bands from 90's. Very good...
Emma Stone OMG!! Que chica tan dulce! Ame la peli, ame la química entre ellos 2, la música, la historia!! Todo!!!!
I loved this film! And Gosling and Stone are just PERFECT CASTING! They were so awesome! :))
Prob my fave scene in this fave movie. The little head shake and squiggly grin at the end cements Emma as an A-Lister forever. That's just improv and SO SO classic. I die laughing every time.
"My lord, did you just say 'serious musician'?"
"...I don't think so."
My fav line in this scene.🤣🤣🤣
Also, Emma Stone in that yellow sundress😍😍 She is the Sun.
It's so classic, especially when Ryan gosling says have l seen you in any movies,?when he's the movie star!🌟
Emma Stone is a movie star too.
one of the best love stories i have watched!
This scene is so cute i love it!!! Ahes hilarious too
2:50 he looks like a Terminator...amazing scene, one of the best scenes of the last decade
Or replicant...
Let’s give a round of applause to now 2x Oscar winner Emma Stone 👏
I have seen them in only 2 movies together, but the chemistry they exude is HUGE
What a situation, what cool acting, what chemistry, what a movie!
Emma is amazing 🤩
This is literally the funniest joke about a pianist in the history of piano jokes!
One of the best scenes in La La Land!
Emma Stone is simply adorable! 🤣🤣🤣
"He doesn't tell me what to do". "He just told you what to do".
Also, he just let him know that their musicians' union break is over, and that if he is late starting the next set, everyone in the band will suffer. Good writing.
just my favorite scene
I’ve never seen the film and can’t believe this song was in it. They are a Liverpool band and I saw them a few times in the eighties. Haven’t heard it for years. They remind me of another Liverpool, band called the lotus eaters. Try and find “the first picture of you” by them. It’s a classic
I've specifically avoided the movie because, despite the fact that I like older musicals, this one seemed....I don't know how to quantify it. Just not for me. Like Rent was UTTERLY not for me. But I have to admit, seeing this scene, makes me curious to actually watch it now...
Flock of Seagulls were HUGE for a little time back then!
The eighties now are like the sixties were for us. How horribly sobering is that?!?!
My siblings and I liked “German Girl” by The Lotus Eaters back when it came out, great melody!
i love how the dude is yammering about being a writer and she just cuts him off and bails. but she's digging the tunes....
They played my2 favorite songs consecutively 😍
Awesome scene!
Awesome musics!
Awesome movie!
Awesome Actors!
Sad movie final!
Emma is so effortless. The audition scene in the movie is so great. Damn.
"i guess i'll see you in the movies.", is such a good roast to her character.
Absolutely brilliant
Wow this film.deserved an Oscar so dam good
Emma Stone has a great shot at winning Best Actress this year for POOR THINGS.
I’d die for Emma stone …… and that SWEET KEY TAR !
I wish there was a full version of this song the way it’s sung in the movie, sounds great
I love how humbled Ryan Gosling's character is in this scene, after him and Emma Stone's last encounter in the movie lmao
Never been too much of an Emma Stone fan...but when I saw this scene dancing goofy. I think I fell in love LMAO
This was a really good movie.
Great scene!
‘I ran’, by Flock of seagulls…. Very 80s😊
Flirtation done right..!
Love me some Emma!!
So that's where the guy from Drive ended up.
thats my fav comment of the day well done
A serious musician, not bad.
Que bonito mensaje deja esta peli, que si amaste a alguien no podes odiarla sino ayudarla a que sea feliz sin ti 🥲
🥴: “I couldn’t get away!”
Ce sont 2 excellents acteurs. Ils peuvent jouer tous les rôles avec beaucoup d'aisance.
Love this scene
I had forgotten how great this scene was.
chemistry goes brrrr
The stand still dance and Gosling goes, he doesn’t tell me. He just did. I let him. lol 😂
this video is really fun to remix with the num pad
I love this film
My fav scene is the whole movie ❤
This movie took courage. Imagine pitching it to the producers? When I saw this scene though, I knew they were getting a thumbs up from me.
I let him 😅
Pretty sure Gosling is playing a Korg SV1, which is an insane keyboard to use for this gig - apart from being incredibly heavy, it only has one synth sound on it, and it's definitely not the one he's playing here.
Firefighter joke was pretty good though 😂
"He just told you what to do". 😂😂😂😂😂 Great scene❤❤❤❤
I can't believe Emma Stone won an Oscar from this movie plus this scene was awesome. Ha ha!!
I wanted him to put on a second pair of sunglasses...
I don't know why Baby Goose is being such a big baby. I would kill for this gig.
This was a real A Ha moment.
ma boy on the bass really into it xD
The killer is the ABsolute professionalism the band brings to their rendition. Like, very.
2:14 This is so fucking hilarious and its amazing how natural gosling makes it look
with auburn hair and tawny eyes ... lol! :)
Emma stone is enchantingly beautiful.
Emma knows what's good...😂
This is the scene that made me fall for Emma Stone.
Best. Scene. Evah.
Sofa King funny
"Requesting I Ran from a serious musician, it's too far" LOL
The protagonist of this scene is the fabulous Yamaha SHS10 keytar 😎🎹
"I got a knack for world buiilding." Hahaha
confirms everything I feel about Stone.
half of me expects him to put on another pair of sunglasses at the end
