A "two-fer" in the comments today! Thanks, Jay, I appreciate that. And you bet, I love so many of my helmets for so many different reasons, but if I was forced to keep just one, I think it'd have to be this quality, standard Stormtrooper helmet: the backbone of any good Star Wars helmet collection for sure!
Everyday is an Exciting day at Paul’s Collectibles! 🤩 Another Impressive Helmet! You can’t go wrong with a screen accurate Stormtrooper Bucket! Especially when it’s on sale! Great Video 😎👍
Thanks, SteveO! I really appreciate that. And yeah, at this point I'm starting to drown in helmets over and I can think of no better fate. haha! Thanks for always being around and checking out whatever silliness I'm to at the moment.
Thank you very much for the kind words, Tipoca City! I really appreciate it. And yeah, these helmets, especially the variations of the classic TK helmet, are like potato chips: it's so hard to stop at just one. Welcome to the club and thanks for joining me on this journey!
Thanks, Gforce! I agree! And let's see... 1 Sideshow Collectibles, 2 Black Series , 1 EFX Collectibles and 1 Denuo Novo for a total of 5... of the plain white version. If you count the sub-unit variants such as Artillery Trooper and such, it bumps up to 9 based upon the classic Stormtrooper design.
Great review, enjoyed watching this one, similar to the original ANOVOS but with subtle differences. ANOVOS helmets were screen used in the Mandalorian for the remnant troopers. A very cool looking helmet, great addition to your collection 👌
Simon! It's always good to have you check in on these helmet videos. And I agree. This is a great helmet for the collection and I was glad to be able to grab it up again. And I'll have to go back watch those episodes of The Mandalorian. I did not catch that those were Anovos helmets. Thanks for stopping by and commenting again. I appreciate it!
Nice review Paul! I'd love to do a side-by-side comparison with my Anovos TK, but judging by your video, they are very close if not completely identical!
Thanks, Matt! I appreciate that. I believe your assessment is accurate, sir. It appears they are either selling previous Anovos merch, are using the same build templates, or a little of both. My Imperial belt buckle I ordered from them some months ago had a "Denuo Novo" sticker on the back. When I peeled it away, it said "Anovos" in metal embossing underneath. haha!
You're welcome, Kristina. I'm glad this helped a little. I'm just staring to trust the company again after the fiasco they went through a few years ago, but I still don't have the guts to pre-order anything from them; only in-stock items. It remains to be seen if that will change. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video!
Great review Paul, I always enjoy your videos. This is a great New Hope replica helmet which I like a lot. The grey and black details on the original screen used helmets aren't decals though. The originals all had these details added by hand using Humbrol enamel model paints as there was no cheap or easy way to make custom decals back in 1976 when these were made. This and the Hasbro also represent very different versions of the original Stormtrooper helmet. The Hasbro one if I remember correctly is modelled from what is seen in Rogue One. The helmets from Rogue One are a kind of Up-detailed version of the helmet so that they appear better on today's high definition film formats. They were made symmetrical, have the indented vent details and are generally more robustly built. This was done with all the stormtrooper armour pieces as well to improve the look in high definition, something that was not a consideration back in 1976/77. All that said the Duo Novo is a great looking New Hope lid and a great addition to any collection.
Thank you for the kind words and he VERY detailed comment, Paul! You're awesome. The gray/black details on this Denuo Novo version are, in fact, painted in, and I believe the rest of the points you have made are accurate. Some time ago, I published a video where I compared several of my Stormtrooper helmets side-by-side and noted these very topics. (Link at the end in case you're interested in checking that one out) Also, thanks for stopping by and checking out this video! ua-cam.com/video/4US56hEF4lM/v-deo.htmlsi=TBwqf2Sx32H6TqUW
@@PaulsCollectibles Thank you my friend. As I said I love watching your videos, and what can I say I'm a detail nerd🤣🤣🤣. Ill be sure to take a look at the linked video too.
Nice review Paul. You can't beat the classic A.N.H. Stormtrooper stunt helmet. I've got a number of Stormy helmets also. Over the years you begin to recognise the various makers. And I have a suspicion that some of the old 'Anovos' Stormtrooper helmets were used for the heavily weathered remnant troopers in the Mandalorean season 1. I could be wrong... But I don't think I am. 🔎😄
Thanks, Jaytee! It's always nice to have someone who appreciates the variations of this classic helmet check out the video and weigh in. And I have to admit, I did not catch that in The Mandalorian. They all looked like the Rogue One style of helmet (a la Black Series) to me, but I didn't look closely. I'm going to have pause that scene and see if I can catch what you're seeing. That is pretty cool to hear. Thanks for always being around and supporting my efforts. I appreciate it!
I don't think so, Brian. And if there is a size difference, it is minuscule and negligible. Here's the section of another video where I have compared a Denuo Novo (Anovos) helmet side-by-side with a Black Series so you can get a better look: ua-cam.com/video/4US56hEF4lM/v-deo.htmlsi=kc7m0LR4boQK72QB&t=425
Thanks, Michael. And yeah, my 501st buddies in Southern California have been egging me on to join, especially since I finished those two Imperial Officer costumes. And I'm definitely out of shelf space as you mentioned. I have one more shelf I haven't built yet, but I'm reluctant to do so. As you may have noticed in the background of this video, I have begun to pack up my Mandalorian Black Series helmets and store them in the closet to make room for some nicer, higher-end helmets that are on the way. I'm gonna need a much bigger Star Wars room in my retirement house for sure!
The Helmet/ Armor that started it all!!!!! Great review as always

This helmet is beautiful
It really is, isn't it, Die Segeties? I'm glad I was able to pick up another regular one to get back in my collection.

ANH was hand painted.. Decals was used later in the ESB so no it is not screen accurate.
ps your channel is awesome and just started subscribing... got inspired and gotten two tk helmets.. one ANH and the other one is a ESB tk

@@PaulsCollectibles specifically the episode in series one where the Mandalorian rescued Grogu, apparently all the remnant troopers were ANOVOS lids 👍

@@PaulsCollectibles and I'm ok with that. Anovos made some pretty great stuff!
Thanks for the extra info on the makers as I wasn't sure if they were the same company that went out of business or a new company.
