I am sooo happy with your Florence and the Machine reactions. I think she is an artist whose lyrics deserve to be discussed and to dive deeper into them. And I'm thankful that you always take the time to do so.
If you are taking any suggestions, Shake it out is one of my favourite songs ever. I've never looked up the back story but for me it is about moving on. The Royal Albert Hall version especially feels like it's cleansing your soul.
I really love the imagery of What kind of man and Heavy in your arms. She uses some very powerful and easy to visualize lyrics. And finally King. The choice between motherhood and a carrier most women have to consider. Is just so powerful, and i also think it is based on a real conversation she had with someone.
I know what Florence can do to us... Thank you guys. I was crying with you.

absolutely loveee florence and the machine! if ya'll even listen to heavy in your arms there is a late night letterman performance that's 13 years old but showcases her amazing voice and really is just one of my favorite performances!! chills!
Some of my FAVORITE underrated songs by Florence are Which Witch, What the Water Gave Me, Heavy in your Arms, St. Jude, Blinding, Howl, Back in Town. All these songs have such intense lyrics 😭
Blinding is a masterpiece 🖤
Grace is a great song if you want to react to. it's an apology to her sister Grace and a big love you that she never told her because as a family they had difficulties with sharing emotions.

It's titled 'The Odyssey' because it follows Florence's cinematic journey through the storm of heartbreak that she experienced while writing the album. Like the layers of Dante's purgatory, each song or chapter represents a battle that Florence traversed … that embodied each song or story."
It's a magnificent piece of art that Florence poured every little piece of herself into and wow does it really show. I just know you'd love it! Just a thought anyway! 🙂
