You should have heard mine this morning at -40C. Block heater's not working either. It started but man she was not happy about it. So cold that the info screen said to not move the truck and had a 60 second countdown timer on it.
@@andyradlgruber5315 my truck did that once when it was a balmy -19F and it hadn’t been started for a couple of days. I think it’s a matter of the oil cooling down all the way. Normally I can leave it unplugged overnight at -25 to -35F and nothing pops up on the screen, but I suppose the oil retains some heat from the day/night before.

I think I got my dad talked into deleting our 2011 and 2014 6.7's, but he is still pumping the brakes on getting it done. He has this crazy idea that we can do it on our own; I know you can delete the DPF alone, but you have to delete the DEF at the dealer. Which tuner are you using? We looked at an HS and SCT. Do you know how those two compare?
The dealer has nothing to do with deleting. All you need is the delete pipe, or the entire delete turbo back system. And of course a tuner with a delete tune. I wouldn't use H&S. I have SCT. For the tune, I would use Tyrant, that is what everyone uses and the best reviewed I have seen.
@@shanetaylor7581 So does my '07 Ram 3500, but I never knew that a vehicle as new as 2011 would come stock with one, as my 2011 and '12 F350's didn't come with one.

Key, remote start who cares. Just start it
Theodore everyone wants to hear the engine duhhh
Lmao, noted.
Hahaha -2
In Canada that's just average day we plug our diesels in after - 10
My dad’s 2011 powerstroke wasn’t started for 2 days in 9 degree weather and acted like a 7.3 cold start😂
Great truck..don't kill it for a u tube video..from a new York guy
Beautiful truck!!!
hello, can i borrow a part of your video for my compilation? of course I put a link to your original video in the description :)
My first winter with a 6.7 is looking promising after watching vids like these. Much superior to my 7.3

Whats with the torpedo heater aimed under the truck?
It was aimed into my garage

A great truck
Remote start still cycles the plugs
Plug it in? I didn't know 2011s came with a block heater.
My dad's 2006 does. The new ones do too. I think it's an option on all trucks if you live in a place where you get cold winters.

Do you have the factory remote start? I’m looking to do my delete but don’t want to lose my remote start. Anyone know?
mines deleted and the remote start works perfectly fine
yes deleting does not effect remote start
Nice truck
Do you get very light amount of blue smoke on morning starts
All diesels do, it’s unburnt fuel. With emissions on, its trapped in the catalytic converter and not noticeable.
hoffinator88h thanks, appreciate it
Yeah whenever it's pretty cold. Normal
hoffinator88h Blue smoke would be oil. Which in those temperatures I’d say is normal still in a higher mileage diesel.
2771PR That’s true isn’t it. I didn’t think about the diesel fuel.
Hey man what radio are you running
Its the factory navigation radio
How loud is it compared to stock? I’m thinking about deleting my 6.7
Its definitely louder. But it's not crazy obnoxious. Sounds pretty awesome
Naasko595 I got a 2012 and I’m sick of the dpf regening and bs, but I also heard it’s way better for your truck to have the dpf off aswell
But she sounds awesome man! I can’t wait to delete mine
Yeah I would delete it asap!

Do you still have her?
Sold it in 2019.

Mine smokes like 3x more than that I think it’s my tune I turned it down I will see next time
6.7s smoke quite a bit on cold starts. It has to do with the fuel trims.
@@austinr09 that’s what I assumed I have 100hp injectors with custom tunes I turned it down to stock for now to see if next start up will be as smokey
