Mezmerizing! Vacationed in Germany in 2015 and stayed a block away from Alexanderplatz. Bought Doner at the train station, walked all over Berlin on Xmas day. The BEST! You brought back some great memories.
Neukoln and Charlotenburg doners were my favorite. I lived in Berlin for 7 years. Spent my childhood there. Xmas in Berlin is the most beautiful thing ever.
When I was a bus driver in London in the early 90s we didn't have satnav, you had to go on a bus route you were going to drive as a passenger and just remember it. I started out with London Transport and drove the Route Master back then, apparently they'd just stopped doing the skid pan training ! Moved over to London & Country after that and they had a new fleet of Volvo double deckers, fantastic buses to drive. The money was crap back then but I loved the job, had my regular route, 127 in the Croydon area down to Purley. All the old dears were lovely, giving you sweets etc. Great memories. I'm now a self employed coffee machine engineer, bit of a change of direction, don't ask lol !! This looks great, might have to give this a go, thanks for the video.
I couldn't care less about fancy graphics, but I like that the subsystems of the bus are being simulated. To me, that goes a much longer way in terms of realism.
Just a small note from a real bus driver. There's a little protocol we always follow. We get on the bus, start it up, program the tachograph, operating modes, and so on, and when everything is ready, we let people on. We never let anyone on without checking first that everything is working, because if you let people on and something doesn't work, you'd have to get them off... And that's not cool. Good job anyways. :)
@@jaymac7203 lol..hence the phrase " Busmans holiday". I drove buses years ago in London and as I love driving it never really felt like work apart from the shift work . I'd still play this if I was a bus driver. I love flying as well ( Cessna 172 ) in real life and love flight sims. Who'd have thought lol !!
I'm a former transit driver and I have played this game for a couple hours. I have not played it in months but I can say that it's slightly fun. It gets a little mundane after a while. I wish there was more exciting features like having to deal with erratic passengers, or something equally exciting. Because that's something that transit drivers we deal with every single day. Plus being an American, I kind of wish there was some American city options
I know this Hood. The details are astonishing its almost a 1:1 Map. Only a few minor things who don´t match in my opinion. However i have never seen a Map with such 1:1 details of a City. And yeah Bicycle and pedestrian are missing in the overall Berlin experience. But it may still come.
Yeah, I can just imagine, coming home after a long shift of driving a real bus and playing this, at least everyone paid, no free loaders or abuse 😅 The bus looked pretty cool, clean cab, the iBus & ticket machine was working and the windscreen was clean 😂 11:06 that Mercedes just pulled out, typical Merc driver😡
Love it emgee 😆....I drove buses in the early 90s in South London, most of the time things were fine with other traffic and passengers. I do remember a couple of occasions where I had problems , I remember indicating to pull away from a bus stop at Carshalton train station, looked in my right wing mirror and nothing there, as I pulled away a red XR3i came flying down the side of me , honking his horn and then decided once in front of me to jump on his brakes ! I was doing about 25mph by then, not quick but a bus is heavier than a car ( there's a surprise ) and does not anchor up as quick as a car...needless to say I hit the brakes and hit the back of this idiot's car, up went the tailgate, bumper pushed in, glass shattered ! damage to my bus, the number plate swinging on one screw and that was it !! Luckily I had witnesses to say it wasn't my fault, some passengers said he was driving like a dick and came out of nowhere. He said he'd only just got the car, the bus company didn't pay him a penny from his claim. Another incident in Tooting high street, guy jumped over the pavement barrier straight into the front of my bus, I braked , hit him and sent him flying back over the barrier, to my surprise he got up and walked away !! an old dear on my bus hurt her knee as it hit the seat edge in front of her, other than that all ok.
I'm a bus driver and these games feel so empty. A real bus is full of sensations, noises, people you talk to; you feel its weight, you feel the wind pushing you... In the game, it doesn't happen. It feels empty to me. I am not saying its a bad game, it's just not meant for real bus drivers. :P
The graphics are fine, but the way it gains speed and the lack of tilt when turning, or inertia effect when braking makes it very unreal. Whoever did this simulation never drove a bus in his life. Thanks for the video.
If it were me, I would have been on my phone while driving, emailing the local authorities about the state of the roads. And I would have definitely got out to clear the rubbish around the bus stop. Not my job, maybe, but best to keep things tidy!

We're getting the electric Citaro at my work next year and I'm very excited. I'd choose electric over diesel in a bus any day in terms of comfort, but a lot of them aren't nearly as reliable yet as diesels. So to have an electric Mercedes might just be the perfect bus
Great video as usual. I was expecting a bit more from the engine update though. Cars spawning in the distance, passengers clipping through one another and road lines being drawn right in front of the bus are not conducive to immersion. And that nuclear strength lighting on the passengers faces when they enter is something you'd expect in a 30s horror flick.
The most important thing here is a VR headset which is definitely there but which is somehow never mentioned. Without is game wouldn’t be a half as realistic.
11:02 Now thats the realistic bus driving experience. Drivers behaving like they own the road and got the right of way even when they don't. Damn dangerous to cut off a bus. I won't risk my passengers health and you'll loose against 25 tons.
I remember watching these types of videos back in my childhood, watching these bus sims since i couldn't afford ahhh this brings back memories i miss my childhood 😢

The game looks good except for people. The streets are empty, the passengers' looks and animations are like from 2010 or even earlier.
The Streets are empty? I see a lot of cars man.
@@American_2 there are no people on the sidewalks
Yes that's true. People move and act like ghosts, not living people. This should be fixed in former updates.
Yeah it also doesn't help the realism that people can walk THROUGH other people 😂
It's a driving simulator, yes. But seeing people flying through others is funny/ridiculous and breaks every immersion
