I like how there are so many trees that weren't there before. Really makes me feel like I'm back in the forests of the original Mt. Chiliad. San Andreas deja-vu with that extra touch of realism. Didn't think I could experience those two together, but I just freaking did! Kudos!
@ezy Graphics is not everything. Gameplay involves all the content (cars, guns, shooting mechanics, story....) If you only had a fancy looking game with no in depth gameplay as Rockstar delivers it would end up being very boring in no time. For what I've seen in this video go play some Forza Horizon cause it even has better graphics and batter map
Best mod I've seen so far. I'm so tired of that REFLECTIONS OVER REFLECTIONS OVER REFLECTIONS that people used to stack and call it "realistic", that seeing this makes me believe that someone still has an idea of what realism in games mean.
Now imagine the boom that GTA VI will be, that it will be a better game and maximizes all the qualities of GTA and that it will also come out at a time where GTA is already a benchmark in the video game industry.
Wow, at this point I'd say: This is good enough! This hits a perfect balance between realism and _obviously_ computer generated graphics. Maybe add some extra raytracing for even better light effects, but all in all this is honestly as far as computer graphics should go before it becomes scary. There is nothing to argue here, the game looks fantastic. Now add a better physics model and you have pretty much the perfect package.
@@otalaedwin I was expecting this kind of comment. But I don't think a GTA 4 looks "unusably old" in that sense. 10 years from now we will have computer generated graphics indistinguishable from photos, humanoid NPCs that behave very closely like actual humans, and the metaverses will have done their part. For those who worried about a coyote that get run over by a car 2:25 and a cyclist that I hit and run 10:54 , no need to worry because they all will respawn 😅
The first rainy scene with the Mercedes didn't really impress me that much, but when it got to the Land Rover in the desert and then mountains I was legitimately blown away. There are certain angles where it looks like video, and having real car models helps accomplish that I think. The Ferrari scene wasn't quite as good, but still quite impressive. I'd compare this to Maldo-Mod HD for Crysis 2. For those who don't know just look up screenshots. The dude practically re designed the game, and blew away Crytek's DirectX11 patch for the game.
@@TwinkleNZ Look, it's a gorgeous game and the story is okay, but honestly Crysis 2 kind of sucks as far as gameplay goes. The original is far better in almost every regard, and with certain mods the graphics can even be better in the first one. However, last time I tried running the Steam version it would not start because of some patch. This has been a while ago so maybe resolved, but I would look into BOTH of them for issues because I've had to hack text documents and move DLL's around to get both of them to work at various times. And then there's no guarantees that Maldo Mod still works either. Crysis 3 I can't speak for because I don't own it. The newest game from that studio is called The Hunt Showdown, and I think that's also one of the best looking games I've seen.

There should be more mud and matte areas on it 😉
3 things that will bring this to the standard of modern graphics - better terrain and prop geometry, better textures and better cubemaps on the car (or even RT reflection support). The vegetation is a huge step up but it contrasts with the ugly bare ground it rests on.

I really like the trees going all around Mount Chiliad. It makes more sense to have that entire mountain look like it's located in the Pacific North/West from all angles and having it across a lake makes it look even better. The mountains look a bit rough in the rain, though. Dirt also suffers. Very noticeable when driving on dirt roads. Those particles and dust in the air really masks a lot of this games visual flaws and when it's gone, it shows.
Looks great! I like the feeling this brings, a bit more cosy vibe for some reason. Main thing to me to make next gta better would be to increase the speedcap, and remove the screen that gets water drops on it, even outside a car in this mod. Hopefully next gta can look and feel this good or better!
@Unknown550 But as a business model it is much more lucrative to appeal to as many people as possible. The majority of people do not own "nasa" consoles or pc. Therefore only appealing to those who do is effectively cutting your target audience to about 25% of what it could be. That is never gonna happen.
@@MetalFan10101 the only consoles are the ps5 and series x. Both with some work could definitely do something very similar to this. There is one thing that really needs fixing. Reflections on the massive glass walls. Currently they are completly off sometimes and as they also appear to have highest contrast on the screen sometimes they really cant be unseen. If fixing reflections themselves is too hard or cause FPS drop... Mby its possible to layer them so they appear with lower contrast. Otherwise STUNNING!

We say that all the time then 10 years later it looks old.
