1. This video on public speaking and communication skills is about giving an appropriate structure to your speech so that you get maximum audience engagement. The instrument for that is the Key Point Speech. Key Point Speech focuses on the main points of your speech so that your message becomes memorable.
2. Public speaking is an important life skill in both personal and professional life. In this series, I will provide you comprehensive public speaking training. But why is public speaking important? It is important because communication skills are an important factor in career advancement. Therefore, professionals as well as students must focus on how to improve communication skills. In this series, I have made communication skills video in English. In any communication, whether written or spoken, being articulate and concise is the key. That goes for business communication too, where your superiors are often busy and would like you to communicate concisely. Few subjects that I will cover in this series are as under:
(a) How to structure your speech (Key Point Speech)
(b) Speech Map to guide your audience seamlessly from one part of speech to another
(c) How to start a speech (Introduction Tools)
(d) How to conclude a speech ((Introduction Tools)
(e) Storytelling
(f) Powerpoint presentation skills
(g) What is fear of public speaking and how to overcome fear of public speaking
(h) Clarity in communication (how to speak clearly and confidently)
(i) Stylistic devices and literary devices to add style to your speech
(j) Talk to convince (Persuasive Speech)
(k) Talks to inform (Informative Speech)
(l) Elements of vocal variety
(m) Gestures and movement in speech
(n) Revising, practice and memorising your speech
(o) Interacting with the audience and space
(p) How to deliver an impromptu talk
3. Methodology.
(a) While making these videos, I have focused on the practical skills. You will be able to draw maximum benefit and improve your communication skills, if you write and practice your own speeches. In office, you may work to improve your presentation skills by volunteering to give Powerpoint presentation.
(b) I have explained every topic by my own speeches and also by including clips from TED talks. These illustrations will help you understand the techniques better and use them as and when the opportunity arises.
