Celebrating Young Writers - The PGCPS Write-A-Book Ceremony

With their books now available on-line, over 150 PGCPS students from pre-K through 12 were honored recently at the 47th annual Write-A-Book awards ceremony at Eleanor Roosevelt HS. As their creative book covers were displayed on a screen, each young writer and illustrator walked across the stage to receive a gleaming medal for placing first, second, third, or honorable mention in the adjudicated contest. But whatever the color of their award for their poetry collection, graphic novel, or picture story book, perhaps the students' most prized achievement was their pride of authorship!
