Reminds me a little of my initial aerobatic instruction. Although, where I learnt., you weren’t allowed to even contemplate aerobatic exercise under 4000. Als, my first lesson was a very exacting initiation into Aeroflot rolls - my instructor was very exacting. On this. Then there was spin recovery - finally loops & barrel ro;d, stalled turns and all the more exiting stuff. Following which, came sequencer, - nominated by the instructor. I t was during one of thes, when I forgot to attach the Velcro hold on my headphone, when he gave me a bollocking, , followed by an unexpected ‘you’ve just had angling failure’ when I was approaching the aerodrome.
A W E S O M E !!! Well done. For some reason the camera went "out of focus" for 2 minutes at 21:22. After the 2 minutes focus was perfectly clear again. Excellent vlog
That was awesome. I can only afford to fly in flight simulation but learned loads there. Do you use the rudder much in the other maneuvers , obviously its used in the stall turn .
Absolutely brilliant! This reminds me of the passenger flight I had in a Slingsby Firefly T67 M260 two seat trainer which can be seen on my UA-cam channel along with the other aerobatic flights that I have done this year. I've done aerobatics in a 1943 de Havilland Tiger Moth DH82A and I did the 'Utter Nutter' challenge in an Extra 300L. I also did an aerobatic wing walk with loops and stall turns while stood on the top wing of a 1944 Boeing Stearman! All were fantastic fun and I would love to do more especially the wing walks and the Extra 300L rides!
Excellent flying! Did you find Aeros to be fatiguing the first few times?? I know I do. Speaking of fatigue, do you recall the fatigue index value of that bulldog? And how many airframe hours? It seems to be in really nice shape!
Interesting comments re: Woodvale. The main is u/s due to deterioration of the surface and damage. Forced out of use by the RAF, but for good reason. Shame really!
Damnit! You’ve now got me thinking of doing an aerobatics course... and I hated steep turns when doing the PPL and preferred straight and level when flying the Chipmunks in the cadets! 😆 IR(R) first though! Good video, looked fun!
Great instruction from a reassuring, great instructor!
I’ve done this before and it has to be a must for all pilots no matter what rating you have I think it’s a great experience !

great flying and in a classic trainer too!!!!!
High G’s to me is when I wore my g suit in the F-4 and F-16. Be careful and don’t black out. Civilian pilots usually learn the hard way.
Yes - very dangerous.
It looks massive inside. What an interesting aircraft.
Ben I am so jealous of you it is unreal.
Wow awesome video Ben. A Very well done for your first lesson can't wait to see more 😀
Great video Ben! Happy memories of my first solo in a Bulldog at Woodvale in 1992!
+James Evans back in the good old days!
I watched that so intently I was leaning in my chair during the high rate turns :-)
Fun video.
+Robert Payne thank you!
Another excellent video Ben. Looks like a lot of fun as well!
+Rory On Air thanks Rory!
Another great video Ben, been lucky enough to solo the Bulldog and the best and most fun SEP I've flown - brilliant aircraft! Keep 'em coming! JP
Like a duck taking to water! Ben, with my non-pilot eyes, I couldn't see any difference between your maneuvers and the instructor's! Great video.
Memories of AEF flying in the Bulldog at Manston. Great video Ben!
Excellent video and a well flown sortie. Great stuff!
+Jodel Flyer thanks a lot Tim!

+Ken Lynch thank you, Ken!
Nice Channel Ben! You were on my RAF 6th form Scholarship week at Brize!
+Samuel Jillians no way! Hope you’re keeping well? Send me a message on Facebook!
Excellent video Ben. Such a shame about Woodvale, flew out there many a time as a cadet.
+Craig L same here, thanks for watching!
'You're the boy'. Like a pro!
+The Flying Reporter aha thank you for your report! Bit of a different sortie this one!
That’s a good instructor!
Brilliant video Ben
+Adam Ibrahim cheers
Very interesting Ben most inspiring.
+salcombe bunker thanks for watching!

interesting video. thanks for sharing.
Very nice Ben. Need to look up more ;-) Oh, and Marshside doesn't exist!
So cool!!

Think I'll stick to horizontal....but the right way up ;)
How much is relatively cheap? I may be able to dream again.

What do the gloves do?
Very cool video! The bulldog seems lots of fun. What was the elastic on the GoPro mount for, was it to keep it upright with the forces?
+CharlieClass156 cheers Charlie! The elastic was to reduce vibration.
Well done, Ben - great video. One question - what are the rubber bands for on the GoPro - stop camera shake or just to keep it in place?
+JAWS Aviation just to reduce vibration!
What's with the gloves?
Bulldog is Scottish built and aerobatics is mostly about energy management
+Michael Miklos cool fact
Very good work with the flying
I liked the video but just want to clarify something I didn't quite get.... who's the boy?
thumbs down? blimey...so many idiots, not enough bullets! Loved it. Nice handling mate ! What a plane eh?
Nice!
Interesting comments re: Woodvale. The main is u/s due to deterioration of the surface and damage. Forced out of use by the RAF, but for good reason. Shame really!
What's up with the gloves?
Makes you look cool
Fife safety and stops slipping hands
Had you done much aeros before starting your training with High-G
+ClearOfCloud only the odd bit of Aerobatics as a teenager with the Air Cadets!
You did really well then; I'm very impressed !! That's a lot covered in lesson one.
Why the gloves?
Jim Ryan makes u look cool plus it’s a aerobatic Aircraft you are going higher and faster so you need gloves just like fighter pilots do
He always wears gloves, and I've been too polite to query the fact.
it's to stop sweat getting on the controls and potentially your hands slipping mainly but also for fire safety.

IR(R) first though!
Good video, looked fun!
+Nick T thanks aha, good luck with your IR(R)!
Nice gloves 🤫
wow wow we wow ma wiiife
Now just add the G🤪
