I was my grandma’s caregiver and she had vascular dementia. I would bring my son (he is 3, but I had been her caregiver for years) and she would say that he was cute but she didn’t want much to do with him. My uncle had insisted that it was good for people with dementia. She was called home May 28th and I miss her terribly. Finding videos like this makes my heart happy ❤

Dementia is devastating. Its so hard to watch it happen and you cant fix it. God bless anyone with it and any family dealing with it. One thing I dicovered while working as activities director is that music really makes a difference. Some of my people never really interacted, until music from their era came on, then the smiling and singing along happened. They knew every word and it was wonderful to see my lovely folks so happy.❤
