Insights from the UNIDO-WAIPA Survey of ACP IPAs

During the 27th World Investment Conference that took place in December 2023 in New Delhi, India, WAIPA together with UNIDO launched a comprehensive publication on investment promotion and facilitation in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) region and presented its key findings. Since the reach of the launch was limited to the on-site participants, there was a notable suggestion to organize a subsequent webinar to disseminate the pivotal insights from the publication to a broader audience.
The webinar showcases an innovative model explaining the realities and complexities faced by ACP IPAs in their work as well as recommendations and practical tools to enhance IPAs’ effectiveness and align their efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It discuss the nexus of the report’s findings with the recently concluded negotiations of WTO’s Investment Facilitation for Development (IFD) Agreement.
