Don't forget about the 892nd regiment! A combined regiment that set out to find the source of an astropathic distress call, only to fall prey to the vagaries of the Warp, they arrived on a world with a crashed Tyranid bio-ship, were massacred by the xenos, and ended up being the ones who sent out the call in the first place. The 892nd was destined to die, responding to their own distress, in a never-ending loop of time.

The problem with the pink panther scheme is it is designed to hide vehicles during specific times of the day,primarily Dawn and Dusk. During the day it stands out like.... well... a pink panther!
I have a slight Bias against them, not because of their aesthetics(love it), but because of The Traitor’s Hand by Sandy Mitchell for making them so antagonist to my favorite Valhallan Ice Warriors. You never fail to change my opinions about factions I know next to nothing about. You’re truly a skilled orator and writer!
I'm listening to that audiobook now...Sandy really made them out to be a band of shortsighted religious zealots, seemingly almost more antagonistic than the black legion up to the point where I am at.

Gotta love the Guard. Yes, Space Marines are cool but the Guard is an example of the variety of her man cultures on the galaxy. Men and women from a thousand world's with a thousand cultures and modes of war. Want to be Russian? Valhalla or Vostroyan. Scottish? Drookian Fenguard or Finhret Highlanders. American, British, German, French, Spanish or Mongolia. All standing together to end the threats to the Imperium.
These guys would fit in great chanting "muad'dib!" As they take over the Galaxy! After all, the Spice must flow! Excellent video as always my lord Baldermort! Gotta love a good Dune reference as well as rhe sheer variety of the Guard. And the intro story was very immersive feeling. Felt like I was there kn the warcamp hearing a grizzled veteran describe the prior victory.
Now these are some chaps I can get behind! I've always loved the romanticism of the old tales of the French Foreign Legion as well as the likes of T.E. Lawrence and his adventures. If I was to start a Militarum regiment, these guys would be a prime candidate!

I was incredibly lucky to get four boxes of infantry of these guys, alongside twenty rough riders, before they were discontinued. I actually finally painted them during lockdown and so glad I kept them and didn't sell them, awesome models, awesome regiments.

Welp, I gone done fucked up. I've been a longtime subscriber to Oculus Imperia as my sole source of 40k content. And lots of people suggested other content to me; Leutin, MajorKill, OMS... the usual suspects. I tried a few, but nobody scratched the same itch as Oculus and his in-world storytelling. But he only uploads every two weeks. I get it; his videos take time to maintain that high level of quality. But occasionally, I need more than that. Your offer of condolences and support to Mari's passing on the Dark Angels video caught my eye(a very classy move on your part, I must say). So, needing a fix as I approach a pile of plastic crack with brush in hand, I figured I'd check you out. And you're the only other channel that's successfully met what I want from a 40k channel. It's criminal that they have never had a miniature set since 2nd edition.
Get 3rd party stuff, Victoria Miniatures has a nice line of "Desert Scorpions" guardsmen

Think a Leman Russ in dessert camo or pink panther schemes with some converted jackal outriders would look good as these folk.
