Ironman mode made me come back to Osrs. The regular game feels like money man mode. To do things efficiently on there you’d want to have a lot of money. I was never good at it since lots of methods get boring. On Ironman I feel better since you get drops and make things yourself. It feels more earned. Getting a weapon or armour piece from a boss feels so much more satisfying. Everything is great
This is why I did an IM when I moved to OSRS from RS3. The regular game became a loop of do your best money maker, spend money on the most efficient skill methods, repeat. Ironman is constantly evolving and the trade-offs are much harder to evaluate. e.g. Do I chop maples for faster logs, or yews for better fletching XP per log and gp? Do I get the dragon axe now, seeing more benefit from it, or wait until I’m higher level and can get it faster?

Can agree. Been playing since I was kid and anytime I logged in I didn't know what I wanted to do but iron man has actually got me hooked again
I agree 100% it gets so boring grinding out gp on mainscape and instead of seeing a drop for what it is you just see the number above it and use it to buy something else. On a main your entire bank can be condensed into a cash stack but UIM or regular IM basically removes power creep and is so rewarding knowing you've accomplished something in a challenging gamemode in an already challenging game. Love the vids man keep it up
I've been playing Runescape for around 15 years, but ever since osrs came out, I couldn't play on my main for more than a few months at a time without burning out, because I am max combat, done all quests (except the new ones since I stopped playing on that account) And have a ton of different boss kills, and because of that skilling general XP grinding just wasn't doing it for me anymore.
But I recently started an Ironman account with one of my friends (duo GIM) and I have been hooked as if I just started playing the game for the first time! It's so refreshing to play on an Ironman, because as you said, every accomplishment and new item just feels so rewarding compared to playing on a regular main account, and you actually have good motivation to go out and mine 50k sandstone so you can get that sweet fury, grind 1000 chests of barrows for the full Guthan's set, do a lot of slayer to get your trident, etc. Every grind makes sense on an Ironman!
When I tried RS after a 16 year break Ironman is what made me stay. I was sick in MMO's having to bid against bots at auction houses.
Started playing again and ironman is just such a perfect way to play, loving it! thanks for your content

Everybody was an iron man back in the day. Do you wanted something you have to get it yourself? I didn't know too many people who stood around typing buying this or that

as a maxed player from rs3, playing ironman on osrs, its so much fun, i got the second chance to do alot of things that i wasnt able to when i was a kid
Pre ironman, all i did was mine and buy stuff, didnt pvp, didnt pve or do quests etc. This video sums up all the emotions ive had for the last few years on my ironman accounts. And many more years to come!
totally agree, I play the game from 2006 (still a noob though) and since I created my Ironman I barely touch my main haha, nice video

Personally, I find it hard to justify earning GP when the best method for getting GP is to have a job and just buy it... It is honestly way worse in WoW than OSRS though. You get to actually play the game in ironman mode... you don't skip 90% of the game and just buy stuff on GE.

never been a fan of ironman mode, they changed the game to much to cater them, also with collection log out its same thing as iron.
also people like me who plays like a iron, collects everything and hardly ever uses ge is a fun way to play.
remember just because on a man you can use the ge doesnt mean you have to use it.
Iron man is the equivalent of vegans using pronouns. They have to tell everyone all about it and put it in their name.
