Man, that Zenbook S16 is freaking sexy!
Hey Buddy, welcome to Taipei and hope you have a great time here. Have been following your laptop reviews. Thank you very much !!!
The S16 and in WHITE... I'm in love!!
Great video Andrew, looking forward to your reviews!
Important to note both Pro Art models are only 60hz! Please make sure to read the details before buying and returning!
it's sad that they are 60hz!
Thank you for all your hard work Mr. Andrew. I appreciate much much more.
That S16 is so nice. I hope they could make a 14.5” version too.
yeah! This in a small form factor will really give dell XPS a run for their money
0:53 Thanks for confirming how far the screen can go back. (No other video was clear about it.)
thanks for the video, hope you dont get sick this time when you return lol
Asus is absolutely killing it with the quality vs price points...
only in the US, Canada prices are meh and EU prices are absolutely horrid compared to every other brand even Apple and Razer.
Great review video. Was hoping that Asus would've released a new version of their Duo 16 machine.
Awesome! Really looking forward to your trusted reviews of these promising units 🔥
Thanks Paul!
Do you think there would be any flips this year andrew, i was looking forward to get a zenbook flip or maybe even a vivobook flip but it feels like they've axed the 2 in 1s.
Looking forward to these ASUS laptop reviews!
Gorgeous lineup from Asus indeed Andrew! Looking forward for you to get them into the studio for review!! 👍😁
Thanks Rafael
any chance of vlog on taipei?
These Asus computers look promising.
See if you can get a glimpse of any Strix Point or Lunar Lake laptops while you're there in Taipei.
Asus with that six speaker set up please add aux sound in fir lissless audio and with that screen allow hdmi in for monitor use game consoles pro cameras tablets PIP etc.
Andrew my young daughter age 8 was telling me about AI processor. I was so shocked ! but not any more as she watched you video(S) before me. really brilliant, even non native English speaking people like us could follow you. Vanakam ( greetings in Tamil language)
Welcome to Taiwan from you local UA-cam fan !
Thank you!
When can we expect your review on this?
1:20 THEY FINALLY LABELED THE PORTS IN GBPS. Praise be. It's so annoying plugging cables around and not knowing what they can or can't do
Sir anything about tuf a14 ?
Andrew can review acer swift ai ultra 9 ??
Cant wait to see the Dell XPS 13 Snapdragon unit reviewed
After the Asus RMA fiasco going on, l would keep away from Asus for the long haul. Kudos from NYC.
Did they say why the G14 doesn't appear to be getting the new chips?
Nice preview of "Coming attractions". It is nice to see Asus bucking the trend by including sd card slots on their new units. How did you adjust to the time change?
Finally starting to adjust to the time change
please review tuf a14
Great review of the new Asus AI AMD powed an SnapDragonX.
ASUS has really shown some great options for us to ponder. Will be interesting to see what the "AI" actually offers and what the pricing is with memory maxed out.
Great job, thanks Andrew....
Thanks
Good looking laptops
Damn I wish they launch some miniled beautiful laptop. I can’t risk it with oled.
Hey Andrew… I’m really interested in the P16 but everyone is warning about ASUS’ customer service. I don’t want to get stuck with a lemon… would you bet your life on it!?
Needs a numberpad for that size
Why is Proart 60hz in 2024?? I'm so disappointed at the price.
pRoS dOn’T nEeD mOrE tHaN 60hz
It's a trade off between 4K or 120Hz, but yea should have 120Hz on non-4K models
Why have we ditched the numpad? Killed it for me. Im not toting around a separate num pad.
hope they can make 13 inch for that one
Exciting times with Qualcomm X plus/elite, AMD Strix, and Intel Lunar Lake. First out of the box: Qualcomm, tightly followed by AMD, and Intel somewhat lagging behind 3 months?
Interesting questions:
1. Real life performance
2. Graphics score
3. Compatibility with x86
4. Power consumption/Battery life
5. Connectivity/screens, 5G, video-audio
0:30 Cer-aluminium? Sounds like a ceramic coated pot or pan tbh. Wonder if you could cook an egg on it 🤔
is AMD AI 300 is another name for 9000series?
Also when can we expect your review on it?
Yes, that’s the new name for the laptop CPUs (changed in last minute from AI 100 to AI 300). Desktop variants are still called 9000.
On the Zenbook S16 is the screen protected by gorilla glass even though it isn't a touch model?
Andrew please tell them that we need matte scenes on these laptops! Other than that the devices are awesome! Once they get one of those with a matte screen I am buying one the very next day.
Never will happen to dull out their gorgeous screens.
@@chuckg6039 then I will never buy another Asus ;) I remember having these conversations on Framework laptops forum. Asking for a matte screen. The company listened and they added a matte screen as an option and the market voted with money now I believe they only have matte scenes. Sooo... I hope Asus will listen too.
Qualcomm vs AMD vs Intel will be a hard fight 😀
Im hard as well
Nvidia also with mediatek
Blackwell+blackhawk
The new P16 feels like a mashup between the Zenbook Pro 14 and Zephyrus G16 AND that might be GREAT and I hope it is. I'd love to hear how it feels. Does it feel cheap or premium? An all silver aluminum body on these with an anti-reflective screen like the SGB4U and 120hz refresh rate would have been so great. I look forward to you getting them all in the studio. Not a fan of 60hz only and have some concerns about the build quality on all of these. Something feels cheap/poorly constructed about everything I'm seeing, but I hope I'm wrong. That closeup of the Zenbooks io already looked really beat up. Woof.
Build quality should be fine. Zenbooks have always been solid and the Proart is just a renamed version of the already existing g16 which is an aluminum chassis
Yea really feels like a G16. Reminds me of what acer did with the ConceptD 5 which was just a redressed Predator Helios.
The PZ13 detachable looks like it could be the perfect laptop/tablet for academic work. Sadly, I believe ASUS missed the mark on this one. They focused on the "mobile creator".... a much smaller audience. If they had focused the design to meet the needs of academia, they would reach a much larger buying audience. They could have gone with a 13.3", 16:10 WUXGA display, something like the 1920x1200 offered in the Levovo Yoga L13 series. Configure with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD and maybe squeeze in one more USB-C port, and they would sell more than they could build. Going with a less expensive display would dramatically reduce the cost and make it more appealing to students. I believe with a lesser display, they could get the price down to under $1,000 and still keep the included keyboard and stylus. It would be perfect for taking handwritten notes in class or on the job, and quickly convert to a full laptop when needed. I'd buy one in a heart beat. Sadly, and regardless the configuration, it appears that the PZ13 won't be available until at least the 3rd quarter of this year.... which usually translates to the 4th quarter.
It's worth noting that content creators don't want a 13.3" detachable. They want all the screen space they can get. It's the student and office worker that wants the smaller detachable screens. Look at the success Lenovo has had with their Duet-5 Chromebook.
Bring back upgradeable memory.
Other than that they may have the best laptop lineup
Can someone comment on other posts ive seen that ASUS customer service has been lacking, especially when defaults on their laptops have been rolled out? As im otherwise a fan of the build being presented. But if something breaks i want to know a replacement or fix will be ordered. (prefer no faults in the first instance).
Depends where you're from, I heard its fine in Canada though the person saying it was fine in Canada was sponsored, and I heard a load of bad things from the US, and if you're EU well, the laptops are so overpriced in EU and UK that you wouldn't get close to one unless you like throwing money in the bin
From what I've been told, people wanted to get something fixed and their laptops ended up being held hostage. They would find something, and then say either an expensive and unrelated thing gets fixed, or you'll only get your laptop back unassembled.
They are also selling used as new, allegedly. There have been multiple reports that they are systematically and intentionally being very anti-consumer.
@@nightsofcandy Ok yeah thats exactly what i heard on other forums.
@@JT11111 From AU as my name suggests but yeah, ok ill rule this model out. Thanks for insights.
all with horribly glaring screens: that's a no go for productive work
This time it seems like OEMs are focusing in AI software as the differentiating factor than hardware since everyone has the same.
The Zenbook S 16 is very nice, but i think for $ 1399 is the cheaper version, AMD Ryzen AI 9 365, 880M Graphics, 24GB memory, and 4 speakers
Awesome iled look ports price macbook who. ?🤔🤫🥰
intel and amd ai chips looking really good, RIP snapdragon emulation mess
if you hold it wrong, asus will denied warranty! joking aside they make good lookin laptop for sure
Wish it had a 4060, but with that thickness it's probably not happening.
Apple M3 best laptop
Except for it not being a laptop
They may put very good panels under that reflective glass... But all I can see is wobbling reflections from the lights above. HOW MANUFACTURERS ARE NOT SEEING THIS????!!!!! What is the point of screen if it is that reflective????!!!!!
let met ask you, have you ever used a tablet and have reflections ever been a huge issue on those? matte screens always diminish screen quality to some degree, especially the poppy colors and perfect blacks on OLED. macbooks/ipads have always had glossy screens for that extra clarity, if the screen can get bright enough which im sure these will with OLED then reflections will likely not be a problem in actual use when you’re looking at it straight on
@@extra4542 Nothing of that matters. Matte scenes can have a good quality. See almost any gaming screens from 2 years ago. With a tablet having a glossy screen is inevitable but there is no reason to have it on a laptop.
0:25 hottest ??!!!!! isn't it supposed to be more efficient
Zenboook 120hz display while the more expensive ProArt only supports 60hz. Wtf Asus?!
It is surprising and disappointing to me that they have the creativity and quality to create such compelling devices (I have a Zenbook Duo 2024 and absolutely love it) and put much of that at risk, in terms of customer goodwill, with the ongoing, year-on-year horror stories about their support. If they raised that bar, I suspect they would be taken more seriously by more people. Seeks like a false economy on their part.
It’s AMD turn, I’m fed up of companies using the term “AI” in each and every shit 😒
"Coming up".... 😅😅😅
Man that tablet with Windows, dunno why but it sounds like a bad idea
If you tell me you have an Asus, it’s 90% of chance that you’re a student. No matter if yours is a Legion or Vivobook, no professional should use it.
I have no interest in a laptop.
Asus with that six speaker set up please add aux sound in fir lissless audio and with that screen allow hdmi in for monitor use game consoles pro cameras tablets PIP etc.
