Would be a real win if Dubas ends up signing Guentzel in the offseason

  • @patrickparrish4510

Bunting, st. Ivany and a few of these other young guys have really gave our team a shot of adrenaline and it truly reminds me of the start of the run in 2016 after the trade deadline and we all remember how that ended, i dont care what anyone says the rest of the NHL should definately be paying attention.

  • @1pbdecoded1pb

I was mad about the Bunting trade but not because of Bunting but Dubas. Bunting was a UFA over summer and Dubas didn't sign him. Dubas (of Toronto) didn't sign Bunting (of Toronto) as a UFA. Dubas made the stupid Reilly Smith trade over summer instead of getting Bunting. Now we all see Bunting is a perfect fit similar to Kunitz, Hornqvist, or Gary Roberts.

I read another comment on social media that is a perfect comparison, The Penguins trading Guentzel and getting Bunting was similar to the James Neal for Patric Hornqvist trade in 2014. Neal was the more talented winger and was no doubt the best winger that Geno ever played, similar to how Guentzel was probably the best winger Sid ever had, but Hornqvist brought an element that the team lacked severly.

  • @whitegd4100

Yeah you all were. And Carolina will miss bunting come playoff time. Carolina needed goals but you gave up a heart and soul guy who we needed.

  • @usmcyounggun6879

A lot of it has to do with Nedeljkovic starting over Jarry. It pretty closely coincided with the Guentzel/Bunting trade. Now, bunting has also been huge for us and makes such a difference but it’s also got a lot to do with the better goaltending and also a little bit of Ryan Graves not being in the lineup.

  • @ethanbell7283

He's that guy who gets in the dirt and battles over the puck by the boards behind the net and right in front. I'm a big pens fan and his play style sorta reminds me of like or Jake Guenztle

  • @BigVuVu

hold your horses, yall haven't clinched the playoff spot yet

  • @roffew.1065

Maybe he would be interested in Mikheyev as well 🤔

  • @jerjar2

Worth mentioning ty Smith is still playing for wilkes barre

  • @dhz781

the pens got Bunting, prospects and picks for a couple months of JG's time... incredible trade

  • @zachhaist6426

Pasta on the Giants is awesome

  • @johnjackson8709

Yeah bunting seems to be fitting in extremely well! You can tell he's happy where he's at. He's playing hard for his teammates, and comes in clutch in those big moments when we need that Guy! Well, seems like he is that Guy! I couldn't be happier with the turnaround after the trade deadline.

  • @agentshadow7456

There was a reason for the trade though. Carolina wanted to get rid of Bunting since yeah he is a top 6 player while doing his best but he ended off doing horrible with Carolina in the final games turning into a healthy scratch. Bunting at his best is good but there was a reason for the trade.

  • @KmanRulez

Bunting has been a great addition.....I admit....I cursed when I heard he was coming. He proved me wrong!!!

  • @bryanelliott6662

Bunting is not jake guentzel. He's not a 70 to 80 pt a season guy but what he does well is what the penguins lacked. A net front guy who agitates and gets under the skin of other teams players. He's also roughly a 20 goal a season guy. Are next great shooter will be on his way in a season or 3. Ive watched a lot of highlights of brayden yager and dont know how he slipped to 14th. Maybe I'm wrong on him and his game won't translate to nhl, but he has Lazer for a shot and his playmaking has really improved the last 2 seasons

  • @tylerspangenberg2746

He give a Patrick hornquist vibe

  • @kraftycarper

i always liked the trade pens got a good deal bunting has qualities we needed

  • @nadaduo1765

  • @davitong
