- In late 2022, Dreya Blume provided her "Journaling the Tarot" books with no obligation for review. Thank you for your kindness, Dreya!
The titles mentioned, available under the dead name Andy Matzner:
Journaling the Tarot: A Little Book of Big Questions
Journaling the Tarot: Evolutions
This video's reading prompt, inspired by Dreya's book: What can you do to begin dealing with/healing from the effects of violated wounds?
Deck used: Cat's Eye Tarot
Reading cloth from Sunset Bough Boutique on Etsy: www.etsy.com/s...
Grab a deck and participate with me, whether it be because the prompt pertains to your personal circumstance or because you want an excuse to practice reading tarot! How did your reading turn out?

Thank you for sharing this book, I really enjoyed watching your video, the topic of boundaries that you chose, and how you interpreted your cards. Thank you 💕🙏💕
Thank you for taking the time to watch, Cheyenne 💜
I've had her Tarot Activity Book and it's one of my favorites! (And now discovering she's a fellow trans reader feels so special!) I really like the idea of using these journal prompts to inspire readings; I definitely want to give it a try now. Thank you thank you!
Ooh, I'll have to look into that book! Thank you so much for watching, Wesley🥰🖤
I really enjoyed this video and your interpretation of the cards. Boundary issues are so important; I think especially for women. So yes, please more such videos.
Thank you so much! Will definitely do more videos like this!
Seems like an insightful reading for sure. Sorry you have to deal with those boundary issues, it never gets easy, at least in my experience. Yes, it would be fun to do more with the different prompts the book offers. Thank you for sharing, Juli!
Yes, habitual line-steppers, as Charlie Murphy calls them 😆, can be such energy vampires, le sigh. Thanks so much for watching, Beth!
Loved this! I have another one of Dreya’s books but these ones also look amazing!
Thank yeww! Love using Dreya's books for reading prompts. I'm sure she won't mind😆
I see cats, I click 😄 I love listening to people's personal readings; thank you for sharing your personal experience & this prompt! I also keep working on my initial reactions and how to communicate when I'm upset (especially when it has to be in a different language); it's not a skill that I honed very well growing up, so I keep practicing and reflecting on it now.
Omg my cards 😂😭 Queen of Cups, Hanged Man, 4 of Swords. I see it as, remember that the other person is human too, they have a heart too; try to hold my tongue, "surrender" in the moment to let them say their piece, then practice speaking mindfully and from a grounded place, rather than rushing to yell back. Will try that next time bc I tend to want to bulldoze over the other person when I feel upset.
Speaking in another language does add an extra layer, doesn't it? And the thing is, I'm not even fluent in my native language, so when I decide I'm gonna curse in it, then peeps know blood be shooting outta my eyeballs! 😅 And it's *still* not the vibe, le sigh. Aaah, loved your reading! Okay, we get it, Universe 🤣🤣 Thank *you* for sharing, Sarah!💜
Such a nice idea. Always enjoy hearing different prompts and their responses ✨
Aww thank you, Allison! Missing you 😍🤗
Thank you so much for sharing! This is exactly the reading prompt that I needed right now. :)
Thank you so much for watching, Natalie! 🩷
I love this book! I will take a deck and draw a card and then roll some dice to choose the question for that card and then journal away.
Oooh, what a cool way to use the book, Rae! Thanks for sharing 💗
Woooowwww love this reading cloth!
I'm a Sunset Bough Boutique whore, what can I say 🤣
This was great. I used Buffy. Thanks for encouraging me to use it. 😊 I’d love to see more of these.
Oooh, Buffy! Nice choice! Thank you, Robyn 💗
Ooh I like this spread - definitely very useful. I will be rewatching to write down the questions
Yay! Thanks so much, Krista 🥰
I really enjoyed listening to you Julie, great interpretation of your cards..
Boundaries are so difficult aren't they? Thanks for sharing with us ❤
Thank you, Julia! Yes, maintaining boundaries can take a lot of work, which shouldn't be the case if others would respect them 🤣
I love this book. I see Dreya's put out a book on the pentacles suit (which I hope means a book on each suit is coming) -- I'm looking forward to this one also. The questions in 'Evolutions' make great spread prompts and inspirations, alone or in combination with each other. Thanks for sharing - and yes, more of these videos!
I don't think I knew about her book on the pentacles! Thanks so much for watching, Laura! 🥰
I appreciate your kind words :) My book on the swords is almost done! It should be out in mid-November, and it's going to be even longer than the pentacles volume :)
Thanks for sharing this 🫂🫶 I did it in my bed… reading cloth: a fuzzy light blue blanket - deck: tone le lone - the cards: the moon, queen of pentacles, king of wands … perspective priorities and reeling in my own know it all tendencies / intensity
Thank *you* for doing your own reading and sharing it here--so good!! 🥰🥲
Thanks, Julie. For me Chariot, Queen of Pents, Ace Wands. Get yourself under control, take care of yourself, and get a fresh start. Good advice for the topic I guess!
Sounds like good advice to me! Thank you for reading along 🥰
💙 Did it along with you, used Tarot Classic. Was encouraged to be rational and stand down from any active displays of ego and everything will be fine. (4 swords, magician, 9 cups) xx
Thank you for joining in and for sharing your reading, Theia! Sounds like Tarot Classic gave some sound advice💜
