It's bizarre so many things are thought to be only for children. Slides, bubbles, stuffed animals, (especially compared to taxidermy and whatnot) etc. I say slides because my neighbors have a slide from their 2nd story deck to the ground for their kids. They talk about how fun it looks and acknowledge it's more efficient than the stairs yet I've never seen them use it. Oh, how I love that slide.
Glad to see your video and know there's another adult that loves bubbles as much as I do! Thanks for the mixture recipe! The huge bubbles are so beautiful!
We purchased an American DJ BUBBLE TRON High Output Bubble Machine w/ Remote BUB773 and used this formula with Dawn ULTRA, a 7/8 table spoon of Baking Powder, and 1/2 Table Spoon of J-Lube... as described in this video... and then we took gallon jugs... added 8 cups of water and 1/4th of the Mike's Gooie Mix solution to each jug... which, with all the foam (since we didn't let it set for 24 hours) was about 2 cups of Mike's Gooey Bubble mix for each of the 4 jugs we were making... and it worked AMAZING! We put the Bubbletron up on top of our truck at a side-walk vendor event and got MULTIPLE bubbles out of each hole as it rotated past the fan... the bubble floated 200 to 300 feet as the wind was kicking last night.... I tried adding another half cup of water and we still had great results. Very thrilled with this recipe for our automatic bubble maker machine! Thanks so much Louis!!
My grand daughter calls me Grandad Bubbles, we have been making giant bubble mixes for 2 years, I asked the manufacterers of Jlube if it was safe to put in bubble mixes, but all they would reply is "it is for veterinary use only" I have been trying alternatives like guah gum and polymers but none are as good so far. Great to see you having so much fun in your other videos!
What can people take instead dawn(what is daw anyway 🤔) , We in the uk don't have that. 🤔 Are they other brands that are now in the UK available and also not to expensive, please?
Thanks, Louis! I am going to try this. Do you have recommendations for the string for tri-string or garland wands? Looking forward to your return to the U.S. and being able to acquire your bubble trumpet! Thank you for sharing!
I Love this recipe and use it Alot ... without the baking powder ... what does the baking powder do? Adjust the PH? You do a Fine job with the Videos and in Person ... Keep up the Good work!!
Living in Germany I‘ve used guar gum for years instead of J-Lube. It‘s really cheap(bought 1kg online for 10€-will last for years). Clumping was a problem until I found out that Mixing the guar gum into the about 1/3 of the Green Fairy liquid really helped. Much easier to get it evenly stirred into a gooey slime. Then add the rest of the Fairy and mix it before pouring everything into the water. Glycerine helps in dry weather, but it also makes the bubbles heavier so then tend to sink faster. And the self healing is not quite as strong imho.
@@corinnaliu3488 not sure. I use 40ml green Fairy Ultra (or Dawn in other countries) and then depending on weather conditions 1-1.5 gr guar gum. Mix, add 1l water and 1tbsp baking soda. Although usually I mix a 10l in a bucket at once using a whole fairy ultra bottle
@@kristianskold1663also nur Glycerin, in trockenen Bedingungen? Nimmst du tatsächlich Backsoda (also reines Natron?), oder doch eher Backpulver? Danke

Thanks for this video! I am preparing to up my bubble game with kiddos at a festival this year and your video has helped! Do you have any suggestions for types if rope used for big bubble wands? Are you using fishing poles in this video? Thank you Amazing Bubble Man!
I use cotton clothes line rope with the core removed. Or microfiber mop yarn. Bamboo yarn, braided is also nice....There are lots of suggestions on the Soap Bubble Wiki... google it. I use collapsable fishing poles.
Is dishwasher liquid or hand dishes hand detergent or washing machine detergent used, I'm very confused about all this, English is not my first language. 🤔
Sounds like bacteria. Does it smell funny? Flush it and make a new batch. I usually only dilute the amount I want to use in a day... leave the rest as concentrate.
it should be noted that your PEO might be older as Mine was stronger and the amount you gave for the J-lube was far too much. Plus, I cant find Pot n Pans locally so tried Dawn Platium 4x and even with the extra J-lube it failed to produce bubbles with any stretch, They were "snappy" , thin and did not last long . Unfortunately, this formula is only a guide if you do not have the same exact ingredients. I was hoping it would not be that fussy. I assume the detergent ratio , as it is not the same , is the main issue.
@@justicefor-all3129 since covid I haven't been working on bubbles so have not been experimenting. I did pick up a case of pots and pans and I know you need more of the pots and pans so most likely it was the detergent ratio causing them to be thin. I still have the issues with peo being too strong and they usually default to guar gum. Also the more neutral you can get your pH the better but do that after you make up the unconcentrated not the gooey mix.

Great recipe!!
Awesome video!!!! How is it on garlands wands??
I hope you have found out for yourself by now that it's penty good fr all bubble makers.
out Of 100 how strong is the bubble
What does the I lube do? Can I use General lube?
the lube is what provides the long chain polymers. I don't think you can use any ole lube if you want the best results...
Can i use agar agar instrad of gum ?
I have not heard of good results from agar agar. However guar gum works well. Look for guar recipes
@@amazingbubbleguy thank you!
What else can I replace J Lube with?
I can not find it in my country. Greetings from Greece
The easiest polymer to find is guar gum. The active ingredient in J Lube is PEO. Read recipes at Soap Bubble Wiki

Is this a good KIB solution bubble recipe?
Yes, It should work. Keep in mind that humidity is a major factor in bubble longevity.

Thanks Louis! I can’t wait to make some giant bubbles like this. My kid will love it.
