Firstly that was a very good comparison. But I think if you zoom in more than 5x the Vivo X80 Pro falls apart whereas the X90 Pro+ does not. Also Portrait shots with the 2x telephoto are way better on the X90 Pro+ than on the X80 Pro. The X90 Pro+ is in general more consistent and it seems to be the only phone which gets the colours more or less every time 100% correct. And natural colours are very important in a phone, as I don't want it to be necessary to edit a big amount of photos. That along with some other small improvement and the fact that the X90 Pro+ will still improve when it gets some updates I think it makes definitely sense to upgrade from the X80 Pro to the X90 Pro+. If you only take photos with the main sensor than it might not be necessary to upgrade!
I have the X80 Pro, but man I am SOOOOO JEALOUS!!! Because the 12S ultra and X90 Pro+ I REALLY want, Xiaomi and Vivo have been killing it with their flagships!
How are you liking it, esspecially speaker performance, video, heating issues and camera . Im thinking of upgrading to this phone.. I do alot of photography. Thanks in advance.
@@wytewizzard Oh man for photography I LOVE the x80 pro a lot, same for the great fingerprint scanner, in terms of camera the periscope is the weaker part that seems to be fixed with the X90 Pro+ Speakers are good and heating really depends on what you are doing with it

I would love to see may be in future if you can put vivo v70 pro plus as a camera contender against new flagship phones 📱 . Love from India 🇮🇳 Take care 🙂
My favorite review channel. Thank you! Personally I think the sensor on Vivo 80 PRO captures the colors better. The others seem to have a green/blue tint.
Really nice comparison!! I'm wanting the Vivo X90 Pro Plus but you're making me really think about saving some money and getting the X80 Pro. Damn you for making really informative camera comparisons!
Great video as always. I bought Vivo X70Pro+ thanks to your videos. This phone even with chinese rom (which can be ennoying) is great and I hope they will sell X90Pro+ worldwide so maybe i can afford it for 2 or 3 years
Can you share whether the 12s Ultra or the X90P+ takes the quicker picture and is able to capture the moment and moving objects better, especially in low light? This is often overlooked but is such a core part of the smartphone camera experience. I know the 12s Ultra is superb at this with zero shutter lag and can freeze moving objects like a boss, as I've tested it extensively. Just wondering if the X90P+ can match up and is worth the upgrade.
Ben,I honestly don't trust any other review as much as I trust yours. THIS is truly a 'real world' review. Thank you. Also,do you have any idea on whether the X90 Pro+ is launching in India with the rest of the X90 series? Or should I just import it from China? I'll be selling my S22 Ultra for this btw.
The X90 Pro+ is producing excellent shots. Very crisp and nicely balanced too. It would be interesting to see how it compares with a Google Pixel. Great work as usual Ben.
The Xiaomi needs to up it's software game if they want to go toe to toe in competition...... Love what VIVO is doing in its photos, i still expect better video quality from the Vivo too. I don't know why most Androids just ignore video quality improvements. ..........Still I really appreciate the efforts you put into each of your videos Ben.
Thanks for the comparison video and i think I don't need to upgrade my x80 pro to X90 pro Plus. Because it looks just a little bit better for X90 pro Plus for me.
Nice comparison between the 3 phones! Do you think there'll be slight/some differences for its camera if/when the global model of Vivo X90 Pro+ launches? Since one uses Funtouch OS and the other OriginOS. That's also assuming they would not change the camera sensors for the global as compared to the China model.
I sold my 12s ultra and bought a x90 pro +. For me the camera system is way better. I think Vivo is doing a good job ito the software compared to Xiaomi. Only thing im a little dissapointed in is the speaker and when using earphones or headphones, the sound is a little bit of a let dow compared to the Xiaomi
Ben, another excellent comparison video. You cram a hell of a lot of really useful information into your work. My only problem is that I want so many bloody phones afterwards. Keep up the good work bud, it is appreciated!
Ultimate camera comparison. I do like the Xiaomi's shot better, except when it's under or over exposed some scenes. Xiaomi is probably going with the traditional point and shoot style with less processing in the background. Probably why it's not as bright, clean or clearer in some shots, especially ultrawide. Still a strong smartphone for it's class. The Vivo's does have better details and exposure, though it doesn't completely capture the mood. Still personal preferences. It just shows how different companies decides to process their images. So if it were me, I'd go Xiaomi, but still have the Vivo for exposure shots
I think Vivo approach is better, because if you really want the scene to be darker you can easily adjust that afterwards, but you will still have the details. Xiaomi does lose the details in the dark parts of the picture and you can't bring back details afterwards. Also you may have the possibility the get a darker shot immediately on the Vivo because on most phones and I assume on the Vivo too, you can adjust the exposure manually
Same i like the Leica colors too, and idk if Ben used the 12s night mode in those night shots.. I agree Vivo is great and can be better than 12s but for me i would pick 12s, the downside is just the over-beautifying and brightening skin tones ugh.. @@ОлексійСоколов-е5ц that's not true, there is no oversharpening. Samsung und Apple their pictures are oversharpened. Also Vivo in Zeiss natural mode gets true to life colours in nearly 100% of the pictures, whereas Xiaomi is nearly always off and has a big change between the lenses

thanks 4 this video. one question: is there a dedicated "cinematic mode" like known in the iphone pro 14 in the vivo x90pro+ ? and how good is stabilization working on video mode?
At 8:09 the man that is in the picture doesn't have the same position in the three of them which may have affected the other phones instead of the Vivo X90 Pro Plus. The writing on the tree is at the front in the X90 picture while it is at the back of the X80 Pro. It could have been at that moment the man was not in focus again which is the reason the X80 Pro got softer. As for Xiaomi I can't put up a case for it because it didn't try at all
Love your work Ben but really can't see the point of this comparison it's like apples and oranges without using night mode on the 12S Ultra to compare. Also turning off night mode on the Vivo's to compare with the 12S without night mode would also be good to see as just a point and shoot in auto when you know before hand that the Vivo's will switch on night mode seems a little pointless to me.I would also like to see all focus points to be the same by touching the screen so all photo's are equal and the bokeh can be fairly assessed, thanks again for your videos .
When using the vivo x90 pro Plus in the United States, what service were you using and does it have Google services on there? Would love to purchase the vivo x90 pro Plus but considering that it's a Chinese phone, I don't know how good it will do in the United States depending on the radio bands.

Hey Ben, have you tried using the x90 pro+ as a daily driver in the US? If so was wondering about your experience with it. I used the Iqoo here in Canada and it worked decent but had a few issues to work around. Mainly being locked to Iqoo/china apps.
I'm using it now. Surprised I can get 5G. I haven't encountered many issues other than delayed notifications which I think I've fixed with battery settings
Hey Ben, how have you and the family been? Thank you for your videos on the Vivo X90 Pro Plus. I received my unit back in Friday here in the UK. I was expecting a lot from the camera… possibly too much in all fairness. Anyhow, I shot over 2k shots and the device produced a few gems. A possibly significant problem appeared when I was checking the files on my MBP: most of the zoom shots are significantly cropped which translates to ridiculously small pics (dimensions, file size and quality)… also some of the Sport shots (a mode I love) are not as sharp as it seems like on the screen… did you experience the same behaviours?
Does MBP mean macbook pro? And what do you mean zoom shots are small, like small in size compared to the main camera or compared to other phones? Would like to know the stats of some pics if you could write them, like from a 3.5x zoom shot whats the file size and resulotion? or From the 2x, because Vivo is also doing pixelbinning on those zoom cameras.
That’s right, I meant MacBook Pro. BTW, the native Vivo software on the phone doesn’t work on Mac, just Windows… so you need to use another 3rd party solution like Google Drive, Android File Transfer or AirDroid. Good question, I was aiming to publish a detailed video with a lot of screen recording footage and unprocessed images… let’s see if it pans out this upcoming week. I mean that to my surprise/shock, a lot of my zoom shots looked like over 10x smaller dimensions and resolution of the ones shot with the full main 1inch sensor… essentially, they are tiny and the quality is really poor… this is rather shocking as other smartphones like the iPhone would also crop images, but it would always produce a 12mp photo at the end, never a 100px photo. Again, I still managed to capture some awesome shots with the Vivo x90 Pro Plus. Actually some of the best shots I have ever taken with a smartphone or a ZV1 camera.
@@ChristopheLanglois Thanks for the detailed info, will also look forward for your video if you do one. Regarding that 100px photo there must be something wrong with the file. It can be that google drive compresses the file (which it shouldnt, but happened to be also when i tried to export a winrar file it was broken after it) Maybe there is a option turned on where it uses some own compact format file which is unknown to photoshop or some program similiar to it. (like on huawei you can change from H264 codec to H265) Or it only shows/exports/downloads the "thumbnail" which is shown when you scroll through your gallery and dont touch on it to see it in full resulotion. I am really looking into that phone, so i am a little bit worried about that file size from the zoom cameras, from the videos i watched it is really a good "compact" camera if i am allowed to say that, need an upgrade from my 4year old Huawei Mate 20 Pro :)
@@mfg-music5875 in this instance, I used Android File Transfer to transfer my photos directly from the Vivo X90 Pro Plus to my MacBook Pro… there shouldn’t be any compression or file alteration involved in that process. I will try to create a shared folder to highlight the problem with these zoom photos.
@@ChristopheLanglois Also a different topic, how about the goole apps, news feed, and notifications. I heard there are some problems with origin OS in that is the only thing holding me back from buying this phone? I mean the chinese apps you can mostly delet i heard but this other things i dont know.
Hi there! Is there any chance to make a camera review of the Sharp Aquos R7?(I know you made one of the R6 last year). A comparison with the S22 U would be appreciated.
X80 Pro was better ..i like the colours more, and the dynamic range seems to be better as well. When compare to the two. If u have the x80 pro there is no reason to upgrade to the x90 Pro plus. Maybe wait another year..
Ben can you please tell me on what firmware your vivo x90p+ is? My one is far worse then yours i dont understand. Did you try to zoom in while filming? Because i cant its only using digital zoom.
Fantastic work, great review! Very good comparision. I will buy the Vivo X90 Pro Plus maybe. So strange for Xiaomi 12S Ultra becouse do not can take clear texture of the red neons from Tacos etc.
Hey Ben, is it true that Vivo won't releases X90 Pro + outside of China? If true, there's no sense for me to wait for a Thai release and should just order from China?
@@bensgadgetreviews well can't be worse than my unlocked s21 ultra. Great camera horrible everything else. Bluetooth is non existent and only works on a select few items. Tried taking it to ibreakufix shop in Massachusetts and the guy was pretty COVID positive and horribly unhygienic. Tried to see if I could fix it there told me it has an IMEI issue. Said it came bad from factory. Then he said he could have done it but google diagnostic was not working. I'm not too thrilled to be a Samsung customer after all that. Plus paying 1400.
It can be that google drive compresses the file (which it shouldnt, but happened to be also when i tried to export a winrar file it was broken after it)
Maybe there is a option turned on where it uses some own compact format file which is unknown to photoshop or some program similiar to it. (like on huawei you can change from H264 codec to H265)
Or it only shows/exports/downloads the "thumbnail" which is shown when you scroll through your gallery and dont touch on it to see it in full resulotion.
Was your ai mode in video on for the x80 and 90 pro??
Love you from India ❤️
Great job .Thank u Ben
Another great one
looking forward your next video - xiaomi 13 pro
Any plan to review xiaomi 13 pro near future?
Yes
X80 Pro was better ..i like the colours more, and the dynamic range seems to be better as well. When compare to the two. If u have the x80 pro there is no reason to upgrade to the x90 Pro plus. Maybe wait another year..
Very nice comparison....
Vivo x 90pro +
Best 💪💪💪 BEAST 🔥🔥🔥
Do unlocked international dual sim vivo work on TMobile in USA? Or are bands missing.
It works. I'm getting 5G on Mint Mobile which uses T-Mobile towers
Looking at options which pick up most frequencies and towers.
@@iankelly4008 stick to global versions dude
Dear Lord, I hope the x90 pro plus will be avaliable globally.. if not , it might be my first phone imported from China.
Perfect job Ben! Vivo X90 Pro Plus is the beast! What about Xiaomi 13 Pro Vs Vivo X90 Pro Plus comparison?
where u buy that x90 pro +?? i wanna buy it
Hi, I wanted to ask Vivo x90 pro plus if the curved screen really interferes much or not
Got my answers. Thank you 🙏
tnx for your hard work ❤
The video thumbnail turns Ben into a Super Saiyan 😂😂😂😂
