I was dreading setting up the green screen on OBS. I initially made a mistake by buying a Logitech Webcam and then discovered how good my old and unused IPhone 8 Plus was as a Webcam. I then got the Camo app and installed it on the old IPhone and my Desktop. What a enormous difference in quality! I watched your first video and found it a little complicated. Fortunately, I discovered your latest video which was so much easier to follow. The results are outstanding!!! I am still tweaking the lighting. I found that a small LED light illuminating my face and chin from beneath is very helpful in removing unwanted shadows. Thank you so much!!!
The original version of this video was very helpful when I was setting up my green screen a few months ago! A tip I wanted to share if you're really struggling with the screen not being evenly lit, and it's hard to get the dark lower corners keyed out, is that you can add multiple chroma keys to the same camera. I'm using your colour-correction trick (as per the older video), but I also have two chroma keys, both using screen colour picking. One does most of the work and the second just works on the lower dark corners.
That's genius Edit: totally works and makes lighting so much easier, just have your camera and light settings as close to perfect as you can before you key, and then play around with exactly which shades of green you're keying
Watched the video you made 4 years ago 3 times and still kinda lost cause I'm literally new in this. Started yesterday. Just when I was about to comment I saw the link to this video. Great job and thank you. I guess there's a brighter light at the end of the tunnel. 🔥
5:56 FYI, you can tighten the pivots on the rode PSA1 boom arm! There is a flat blade screw on the right hand side of the 4 pivot points to tighten it up which will add some friction in the joints if your mic is a bit light. Also if you do need to add some weight, don't tape around both boom arms as they are a parallelogram, instead, velcro a weight around only the bottom element.
Thank you for getting to the meat of the subject quickly. Too many tutorials have too much happy talk and can't get to the reason why I needed it. Concise and brief. Thanks!
Great video.Im a Dj with hardly any knowledge of OBS but this tutorial was nice and simple to understand. Now i can add green screen to my sets.Thnxs Homie!!!!!
This tutorial was MUCH better than your first one on this. Not too difficult to follow for those of us who aren't tech skilled. You've just earned a new subscriber! :)
Hi, great video! When I select "pick screen color" it only lets me select from the color squares or the color panel. If I go click on the green part of the screen image behind me, it does not pick up that color or do anything. Am I missing some step? thanks!
Thank you very much for the help. the only issue I have is that my hand becomes so bright that it gets grainy and oversaturated. tried to fix my lighting but that makes every other thing a living hell
Thanks this solved the issues I was having with my green screen in OBS. It's not perfect yet because I need a bigger green screen to do what I really want but it's so much crisper and no more bleeding.
I've been using your original video as guidance for a while now which was pretty good, but this guide is a whole lot better. The colour picker for the green screen is the main difference - despite my green screen being chroma key the Logitech C920 makes it look pale green 😃 Keep up the good work!
Mate ! I can't tell you how useful that was to me! thanks very much - i have been trying to get started with a green screen for a few weeks but with mixed results - this answered everything for me!! Subscribed :-)
In case of the elgato green screen I had to dig around - you can also enter the correct color directly as elgato uses something between Pantone 368U and 369U (depending on age, production difference and friends) For reference the colors below. I just slapped in the hex code and got my similarity even more down than picking the color. Pantone 368U RGB 103, 179, 70 HEX: 67B346 CMYK 59% 0% 99% 0% Pantone 369U RGB 98, 160, 68 HEX: #62A044 CMYK: 39%, 0%, 58%, 37%
You will still have to take your light quality into account, it won't be the same color you see on screen than irl, maybe because of the shadows or the color temperature of your lights. At the end you will still have to pick the color directly from the preview for accuracy.
Voorny, thank you so much! This video is simple, easy to follow, and very well done. With your instructions, I just lit up a wall of my unfinished basement with three LED pars and made it look like the inside of someone's beautiful house. Subscribed!
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. After watching your video, I got to know we have to put some default scenes so that we don't have to configure our external mic or camera settings.
For those that may not yet know, when it comes to filming and lighting you want to keep in mind directional lighting, light angles, even tones, and color temperature. In regards to those having issues with the green screen, clipping, color erasing, and hard lines. Also, camera quality and canvassing dimensions are import.
Vonny thank you so much. This was focused and every moment was useful and concisely presented. That is not easy so I really appreciate the work you put in.
just had an idea after watching v1, and just checked this in case you had it too. since not, here it is. rather than color "correcting" yourself after finishing the chroma key, convert the chroma output into a colormask, and apply that back on the raw cam. so the greenscreen section gets masked out, and the visible section remains unaffected.
What tutorial video would you like me to make next? 🤔🤔🤔
I wouldnt say no to see you do audio tutorial for OBS.
@@Fiddibee Ok cool. Anything in particular to do with Audio? :)
@@Voorny im curious with the filter for example compressor and noise gate to get a more clean audio :D
@@Fiddibee - Awesome. Considered it added to the list!
I second Fiddibee

good idea!
50 shades of green lol
That's genius

You’re a genius god bless your soul
This guy helped me set up a flawless greenscreen like 2 years ago. It was recommended to me just now, so I returned to pay compliments
The adjustment to the background through the color that is used is what made me hit that like button.
Watched the video you made 4 years ago 3 times and still kinda lost cause I'm literally new in this. Started yesterday. Just when I was about to comment I saw the link to this video.

Very detailed tutorial. Nice job.
I cant make the last Screen. There is no "Camera Source" showing in the "Screen" tab.
Do you have any videos on how to light properly?

Actual lifesaver, my keying looks so much better now
@@quane3 it's a base value to work from. Keep in mind that your camera may NOT see the colors the same way
adding camera with reference copy also figure out this. thanks.
THIS VIDEO IS LIFE CHANGING!
Thank you! Best video on this topic I've seen!
Voorny, thank you so much! This video is simple, easy to follow, and very well done. With your instructions, I just lit up a wall of my unfinished basement with three LED pars and made it look like the inside of someone's beautiful house. Subscribed!
Thanks a lot. Nice easy steps.
Life saver.
Thank you!
wich lights do you use? can you do a green screen and lightning video tutorial? (where put the lights, how many lights ecc ecc")
You're the best teacher ever
Thanks, useful video for first time green screen user.
Be easier to add a LUT wouldn't it and then if needed color correction from there?
Great stuff. Thank you!
Dude, you are a superhero.
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. After watching your video, I got to know we have to put some default scenes so that we don't have to configure our external mic or camera settings.
this is an A1 step by step my guy!
I had a fuzzy green screen going on and this helped me fix it!
Awesome video, thanks for the tuition.
thnaks bro and wanted to know which webcam or camera do u use?
Hi mate, I use a Sony A5100 plugging it into a Elgato capture card.
For those that may not yet know, when it comes to filming and lighting you want to keep in mind directional lighting, light angles, even tones, and color temperature. In regards to those having issues with the green screen, clipping, color erasing, and hard lines. Also, camera quality and canvassing dimensions are import.
Thanks brother you just showed me how to crop my video thank you!
Vonny thank you so much. This was focused and every moment was useful and concisely presented. That is not easy so I really appreciate the work you put in.
Best video tutorial on UA-cam!

@Voorny, are you using the Moukey pop filter in this video??
Do you have a video on the A5100?
Thanks for this insightful tutorial on the green screen stream.
Thanks Voorny...I found that really helpful! :)
