      @@evtechtrail_Call it what you want but all these cookie-cutter channels intentionally flooding the algorithm by repackaging the same fake content a dozen different ways with identical thumbnails, generated voice overs and pretend imagery is a joke.
      Can you at least admit what the purpose of all of this is or are you only allowed to keep gaslighting? You're clearly more interested in manipulating people and abusing SEO than making money so what is it?

      Casting and machining technology that's been around for over 100 years now costs an arm and a leg thanks to government regulations. That's literally what it is.

      EV prices will continue to fall while battery tech continues to improve. An electric Wrangler with better specs in every way (including range) staeting at $16k should be possible in around 10 - 15 years with the way things are going. Although it might be a company other than Jeep, as they may not survive the transition (it's only legacy auto companies that can't seem to make compelling, low-cost EVs, so using Ford or GM as an example of how much EVs cost is pretty dishonest. Eg a Tesla Model Y is better on every single spec (40% more cargo volume, better acceleration, handling, traction control, range, efficiency, charging speed, software, safety, cost of ownership, etc) and yet is significantly more expensive than the Model Y. Probably why Ford can barely sell them while the Model Y is the #1 selling car in the world.

    While innovative, this video presumes the reason we are being pushed toward electric cars is to save the environment. While I'm no advocate for electric vehicles, the real reason we are being pushed toward them is the world governments know the human race will destroy itself when the fossil fuels begin to run out. This solution will only prolong the inevitable. Come to think of it, EVs are also only prolonging the inevitable as they require fossil fuels to generate the electricity for charging.

    • @truhartwood3170
      @truhartwood3170 3 місяці тому

      EVs do not require fossil fuel. Many countries/regions are already getting their energy primarily from renewables. Where I live, 95% of our electricity comes from hydro. In the US as a whole, they've gone from 6% renewables in 2017 to 25% today, and the pace of installing renewables is accelerating, especially now that solar is drastically cheaper than any other energy source. And the US is actually one of the slowest countries making the switch. China is by far outpacing the rest of the world in switching to renewables. Even mining equipment and manufacturing is switching from using fossil fuel to electricity because it's cheaper, so you can't even use the argument that fossil fuels are needed to make EVs and solar panels and stuff (other than some plastics).
      No, governments aren't pushing for going electric because we'll war over dwindling fossil fuel reserves - there's still massive amounts of fossil fuel. But if we burn it all our planet starts to look like Venus. Also, going electric is awesome for the local economy (no sending money abroad for oil and gas, it's all produced within the country), and while oil is globally traded and its cost is affected by things going on all over the world, electricity prices, at least when they come from renewables, are determined locally (if electricity pridcution depends on fossil fuel, the cost is still at the mercy of fossil fuel prices).
      Because electricity is cheaper, and will get stupid cheap in the future once the grid capacity has been increased and that paid off, that also makes mining and manufacturing etc more cost competitive vs other countries that still use fossil fuel, or allows you to keep up with falling prices as other countries switch their mining and manufacturing to electricity.
      Also also, it's great for national security. Many wars are fought over oil, access to it, trade routes, etc., since the cost/supply affects the entire economy. If you don't depend on oil and gas and have no skin in that game, then you don't need to fight over it, or worry that other people fighting (eg Russia and Ukraine) will affect you.
      So there's quite a lot of reasons to make the switch, even though the transition phase is difficult. Once through the transition, everything gets better.

    Stellantis and all the brands associated with them will be obsolete within 10 years or sooner. They can't compete in a market that is quickly shifting to EVs when they don't know how to even build an EV to begin with. Unless they very quickly make that pivot, they are a dead man walking.
