They've done low friction racing, but I don't think that they ever did a no-friction track... I think it's a good idea, although I'm not sure if they should build tracks and/or a vehicle for it.
Man i would love to see multiple episodes of like a drift track multiplayer Monday, like each episode the track gets harder, and there's limits on the thruster power and turning speed you can have, that way it works be really competitive, like the turning speed and thruster power would then be adjusted based on comfort of each person and it would be really interesting to watch.
This is like realistic spaceflight. Only this is in two dimensions whereas spaceflight is in three dimensions. Good practice for thinking about your next space-combat novel.

High school level physics says that uniform circular motion happens when you have a force always accelerating you into the center of the curve, which would in practice mean pointing exactly perpendicular to your intended path and feathering the steering glitch to keep yourself pointed at the curve center. Transitioning back to burning forward is outside the scope of my vibes-based mental math here, so uhh idk good luck if you try to implement this. Speed benefit is dubious but if you pull it off you can probably move very predictably
Maybe have this same sorta concept but your vehicle's bottom is made out of concrete(or any high friction block), and the ground is made out of the "low collision block". But the catch is: the borders/edge(s) of the track is _also_ high friction, just like Mario Kart.
After 3h of playing this track I got a 53:225 😂 Edit: You can also literally just run the course and get sub 8 seconds lmao. Just jump after the second turn and stand on the gate at the start before pushing the button.

No, there's no invisible walls in SM. I think he hit the front of blocks due to SM physics. The creation is split up into rectangular prisms to help with performance, and there will be several rectangles at the corners, so he probably hit the edge of those rectangles. Or maybe the vehicle slightly dipped after going off the edge and hit the inside edge of a corner

I got a really nice challenge there will be a maze wich is covered by four walls no one can leave and you start at opposite ends and you have to create a vehicle with a spud gun and shoot the other player
Day 95 (fell asleep) of asking scrapman to do a multiplayer monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot set up in the mechanic station, and everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road :)

This is basically ice boating in Minecraft. Your vehicle does not tilt, it slides. The only difference is no brakes or backwards.
